First, this game is just like a large file game & not sure why it is only in the adventure section. I found it because I was looking for more games like "Return to Mysterious Island" and it is by the same developer. I don't quite get the organization of games on this site... Anyway, you can try this first so there is no reason to be disappionted if it's not your genre.
Pros: Beautiful graphics like Mysterious Island, Interesting time frame with real historical data that makes you feel like you are experiencing life during the distant past, difficult but interesting puzzles, cool music and sound effects, neat characters.
Cons: Storyline is a little flat, not much suspense or mystery or surprise involved. And although there are some beautiful scenes, there is a lot of time spent in dark caves.

Honestly I enjoyed this game & it is well worth it; I'm just giving it a 4 because Mysterious Island, Nancy Drews, Rhiannon, etc are 5's imo and it is close but not as good. I wish I could give it 4 1/2.

It kinda depends on whether you really really like these kind of time mgmt games. If it's your thing, then it's probably worth buying. For me, I prefer large file adventure games and I get these just for a fun break.
In my opinion the illustrations were not attractive. Simply put, the people in the storyline part were drawn ugly! Also, the graphics are very 2-dimensional. And the music is just ok, but I guess you are in a shopping mall. The type of challenge is very similar to other TM games like this. I did like the mini-puzzles in between.
Try it first, just sayin'
I don't recommend this game.
Use your survival skills to uncover artifacts, solve ancient technologies, and explore the Mysterious Island.

SO FUN! So NOT a HOG! Would someone please tell me why Big Fish insists on 'recommending' HOGs to me when THESE are the games I buy?! This is a great example of a quality large-file-adventure-NOT-hidden-object game. Like Nancy Drew, Nostradamus, Secrets of DaVinci, Syberia, etc. I DO NOT want to find 20 kites, I want to figure out how to make one out of cloth, tendons, and reeds, lol! But seriously, I was about to cancel my big fish subscription because I thought I had exhausted all the cool large file games and then I happened to try this one. It has the beautiful Myst-type setting, and the game is relaxing and fun. For those who can't figure out how to combine the right items and are stuck - combine EVERYTHING - One of the options has to work! I loved the scenery, the monkeys, and the items board. You can even take things apart to re-use items. It cracks me up how these characters supposedly lug a carcass, dynamite, a dive suit, and 20 other items around! I recommend this game and I really wish these games had a separate catagory from HOGs!
I recommend this game!

So, I've played all the Nancy Drew games (my fav#, Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and many other of the large-file adventure games. I'm super sick of so many hidden object games being released ("cheap cheap") and not enough of games like this available!
Anyway, I went back to see if I've missed any good ones. The one comment about not having a lot of places to explore worried me a little, but I decided to try it and I'm SO glad I did! There are plenty of places to explore and the story is so fun. My only disappointment was with one of the puzzles because the picture #MonaLisa) was too blurry to really be able to do the puzzle so I had to use a walkthrough hint. But don't let that stop you!!
I love this game, want MORE like this. Seriously, because I'm out of games I like right now on Big Fish.
I recommend this game!

This game was so enjoyable! If I'd know how good it was before, I would have downloaded it months ago! It is similar to myst games and kindof like Nancy Drew games, in that you walk around through point and click and explore the scenery. The place is so beautiful to explore and there is a map so you can skip to places quickly once you have been there. There is a notebook of tasks that give you pretty specific hints, so if you want it to be harder then I would just try not to read it unless you are stuck. There is no one to talk to and no time limit and although there are some spooky moments, overall it is not really dark or evil. The story line is so interesting and the tasks are creatively done! Also, if you have any glitches, you go onto the BF forum and PM one of the creators and she will very quickly respond to help you. I had one issue and she help me resolve it right away. After that, it was smooth sailing. The graphics were beautiful to me even though some have commented that it's a few years old. I didn't notice because I was having too much fun!
I recommend this game!
Go undercover at a prestigious girls’ boarding school to discover the culprit behind threatening notes and dangerous accidents!

This is such a high quality game! The graphics and music are great and the challenges are interesting. Nancy Drew games are very interactive and this one is one of my favorites! The plot is interesting with well-developed characters and it lasts long. You get a great deal by buying this one.
I recommend this game!
