You've been asked to cover a highly anticipated competition in New York City when something goes terribly wrong. Can you escape the world of illusions?
Good paced game with nice puzzles and active HO's. The map not so good. It looked like it was suppose to tell me where activity is but it never indicated and all the rooms were cloudy unless I was just being shown the new section where I had not entered into those area yet. So I could not even tell you if it was a jump map. Game was a good game though.
Wow the game has many portals to get lost in. Thank goodness for me there is a nice jump map. I like the HO's where shadow items have to be filled and used to find next item on shadow list. Characters were wonderful.
Beautiful artwork and tons to do. Even notice a bug here and there crawling around during game play. Part of what I consider critter action.
Long 90 game play for trial and I stopped early to write my two bites. Must buy and yes a contender for game of the year.
The game did have too many shape things but it was so well done it did not really matter with me as some may not like that.
For years, Barton Mansion sat abandoned, a haunting reminder of an obsession gone wrong. But something sinister still lurked there...and it's stirring.
Game had good graphics, good characters, Love the dog. Nice jump map and good hint button. Story was good also. Like some others too many red vines and a little repetitious on puzzles.
Intrigued by this game. Was really close to five stars, but thought the movement of game was a bit off. May not be the right words there. How I moved into the square and back out. It felt off a little. The game did seem a little slow.
After that it is all good. Great collector items, HO's different styles and morphing objects in HO's. Music was just ok, but Characters were great. Map and hint were real good to help me stay on task and get there quicker.
No twinkle for me. The scenes were dreary and should have made me feel the curse but the game seemed cursed instead.
Did not enjoy the fairy's help and could not find the proper help when needed. Like not knowing what to look for to defeat the fly. It kept telling me what I already knew and that was to defeat the fly. The guide left me clueless also.
The ambiance was good and the game had good potential. Somehow evil overtook it.
Some of the noise feature for indicating a task complete was a little annoying and I would think would be geared towards kids, but the game itself is not kid friendly and not user friendly. Felt dark, dreary, and disjointed.
The fairy creature was cute but over used. Voice over was good. Music to set ambiance was great.
I like this one best so far out of all the Shiver games I own. This goes on my to buy list. Good jump map. Opening scene possibly glitched on me but game, voice overs characters all good.
Plenty to do and pretty nice flow to game. Music and ambiance noise good also.
Lost for good on me. Hard to see objects on HO's. The music was a bit too drowsy, but peaceful. Good potential. Characters were good. I roamed everywhere and found it very difficult to find some items. I gave up after 10 minutes not having much fun and wore out.
Not sure I would buy this game. CE with no jump map, also no control on tutorial. I had to constantly ask for help loosing direction on how to fallow this game. It did get a little better as I learned the pattern. The game was too dark and glad it had a brightness control.
Very different game and some of it fairly good. Narrator was great. I might go for the SE on this one.
