I think I downloaded this game just to see what the negative reviews were all about. And after the demo was over I HAD to buy the game! What I found was a well put together "mystery" with wonderful graphics, hidden objects games (which are different for a change) and a story line that got my attention right from the start. I really like how the main character was so natural sounding when she was trying to find her kids. She sounded "desperate" to find her kids and frustrated when thinks were going crazy. This game is not hard and is very easy to follow. Everything you do in the game is for one purpose. . . "FIND YOUR KIDS". I just had to keep playing until I had discovered the truth to the Runaway Express. Great Game!
This review is on the purchased game. What a pleasant surprise. . . this game has so many layers to it and features that I love - great graphics, VO's, and hint system. I loved the fact that this game has a great blend of IHOG's and FROG'S. The puzzles are not too hard either. I also really liked all the extra's this game has. . . like collecting coins to buy inventory items and collecting fans to get more hints. I also like our "assistant" who talks over the case with us. One of my all time favorites.
Eerie music fills the air in Vienna, where shadows terrorize people in the streets. Two musical prodigies have gone missing. Can you save them without striking a single false note?
This game has it all for me, great VO'S, cut scenes, beautiful graphics, great music, FROG'S and game play that flows easily. This review is on the DEMO only. The hint system is so good you don't really need the strategy guide, and with that said probably don't need to buy the CE unless you like the Bonus Game and all the extra's that go with it. There are a lot of extras in the game that you have to find which definitely adds to the fun factor. Since I have a gazillion games, I have started to be really picky in the games I buy and only buy the ones with the features that I stated above. Hopefully the FROG's will continue throughout the game. I'll buy the CE since I'm one of those that like all the extra's.
This game is very different from what I'm use to playing. In general I liked the new changes. This review is only on the 60 minute demo. I loved the fact there were voice overs for all the lines, instead of us just having to read them. I always thought this would be a good idea. This is first time I've seen a game with this feature. Some might think this is a lot of hand-holding but I think it adds to the atmosphere of the game. The hint system is very good and tells you exactly what you need to do. The hint system is so good you might not need the CE with the strategy guide. So far there are no HOG's but FROG's instead which I really like. There is a lot of running around and it's too bad the map doesn't transport from scene to scene. The graphics were just okay with me, I thought they were a little flat. Like I said I haven't played the whole game yet. . . hopefully the rest of the game is as good as the beginning.
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
I didn't want to believe the other reviews, but after 10 minutes into the demo I realized they were on to something. I just don't understand how the developers could get so far off tract. All I wanted was another game as amazing as "Return to Ravenhearst". Please listen to these reviews and develop a game comparable to your other ones.
The demo took off fast, with Zombies, a cute monkey and evil imp named "S.G." Awesome graphics and really well done voice overs. The cut scenes are almost like movies they are so well done. There is no map, but as far as the demo went it was no problem. Great journal and hint system. I was really glad the general HOG's were interactive and was THRILLED when I found a FROG. It appears this game has it all. The demo just wasn't long enough as it was over before I knew it. I will definitely be buying this game ASAP.
So happy Big Fish has brought us another great FROG. This game has great VO's, beautiful graphics, hidden morphing objects to find, a great hint system that tells you what you need to do, a map system that tells you your objectives, where morphing objects are, and will transport you where you need to go. There is lots to do and lots to find. The FROG's are really good, different and fun. The game flows very smoothly and during the 1 hour demo I found this game to be everything I want in a game. The developers included a lot of small details to this game, which adds up to a lot of fun.
Beautiful graphics and great music. The voice overs are well done although not in sync. One of the first scenes in the demo was that of the snow-covered mansion. There is something cozy and inviting with scenes like these. There is no map, but it has a very helpful hint system. The HOG's are integrated and are very well done. There seems to be more sophisticated IHOG and FROG being developed and that's a very good thing. They make you think just a little bit harder and that's always a good thing. No chance of getting bored with this game. I'm glad the developers are listening and are bringing us these awesome games. After the demo was over I went to YouTube and watched several videos on the game. Very helpful as the 1 hr. demo flies by pretty fast and it's nice to look it over again. Keep up the good work developers, you're on the right track.
This is the third installment in the Shadow Wolf Mysteries, and I was not disappointed. This game has almost everything I look for in a game. . . Great voice overs that are perfectly in sync with animation, fantastic graphics, lots to look for and find, puzzles not too hard that I wanted to pull my hair out, great music, and not too many HO's. Only downside to the game for me is that I prefer FROG's, but the HO's were interactive which was good.
There is also a cute fuzzy little white kitten that you can interact with which was fun.
Prepare for a mind-bending journey into the realm of the weird in Haunted Halls: Revenge of Dr. Blackmore! Brace yourself for the unexpected in this exciting Hidden Object adventure!
This game has everything I like. It starts out fast and fun, lots to find, fantastic graphics, great music and great storyline. Good VO's and cut scenes which are a must for me. This is a FROG which I'm always looking for. I'm so tired of plain old HOG's, so I'm very happy when the developers listen and make a game as great as this one.
The demo was over before I knew it, so now I'm off to buy it.
