So the positive first....I really thought it was challenging, so much so, I just put it on relax mode and still couldn't get all the stars right away. This game is designed to play each level several times just to get all the money you'll need to upgrade everything. I turned the sound off because it is absolutely annoying. And the storyline is absolutely stupid.
What made me really mad is that I got to the end and it crashed. I still had several items to buy so I was going to go back and replay some levels to get all of my upgrades and it was a no go. Could not get back into the game at all.
I love cooking games so all in all, it wasn't horrible, just needs some work.
I am giving this game 3 stars because I don't feel I gave it enough time to properly form an opinion as to why I like it or not. I never even made it through 10 minutes. It just wasn't my type of game. I do not like games where I have to move the screen around and drag the people around to do what they have to do - it frustrates me to no end. Plus I like timed games and having to meet certain objectives in a certain amount of time. This seems like a cute game if you are into these types. But for me, I'll stick with the fast-paced, click-happy games.
I enjoyed this game. It was a nice break from the usual gathering materials and building style time management games. However, it was not very challenging and I like my games to be fast and furious. There may have been three levels out of the 50 that I had to repeat to get gold, and that is only because I didn't use sound strategy to begin with. For the most part, this game is a nice no brainer game to play to pass the time. The only part I didn't like was an annoying bird (cawing) sound that would at times startle me and my dogs.
I recommend this game!

I downloaded and played this game for the hour demo and will definitely be buying it as soon as I finish this review. This is a really nice building game. So far, in the levels I have completed, I am building houses of varying sizes, parks to help your neighborhood be green and cleaning up and demolishing unrepaired and abandoned lots. I didn't understand other reviewers saying this was "untimed" as you can get gold 3 stars, silver 2 stars and bronze 1 star, but no matter what you get, you can proceed to the next level. When I hit the 5th level, it became a little challenging. There is a lot of strategy involved and you have to watch out for "trash" that seemingly appears out of no where. Further into the game, you will be building power plants and other buildings. The graphics are really nice, the music is pleasant and all-in-all, I am very happy with this new game.
I liked this game. I find it slightly challenging (actually got stuck on level two because I couldn't see the some of the time goblins#. It really is your standard gather items, upgrade buildings, etc. game, but the workers' seem faster, the items generate quicker so you have a shot of making gold each time. The sound of running water got annoying really quick #around level two# so I ended up turning my sound down to barely there. I always turn the music off because it is distracting to me. All in all, it's a nice game to pass away some time. I bought it 30 minutes into the game just to have something to play until the next TM game is released.
This game is a snoozer loser. The first time I tried to play it, I lasted 5 minutes. When I went back to see if it picked up the pace in later boards, I couldn't even get past the 3rd level. It's that boring. For a time management game, I couldn't figure out what to "manage". Maybe in later boards, it picks up, but the game just didn't garner enough interest to try.
Islanders are here again! Become part of a new adventure and help the shaman get his true appearance back! Follow them in a fascinating journey through time and make new friends!
I bought this game within 45 minutes of playing demo. It is fun, can be challenging and I love that you can play it on various modes (easy, normal, hard, untimed) and que up your player's next move. I've played all the Island Tribe games (as well as most other time management games) and I like the fact that not only do you have to get your time for a perfect score, but also diamonds and artifacts. It makes it that much more challenging. I would highly recommend this game.
Normally I love any TM games that come out. I try ALL of them - and usually I can find something (anything) I like about even the worst ones. No so this game. I got through 40 minutes of it before I exited out of it. There is no challenge to this game whatsoever. Never could figure out how to get stars as there is no tutorial to the game at all. The graphics were horrible and in this day of amazing graphics and interplay - this was a major, major set back. I can't even recommend you play it if you have time to kill it's that bad. But you can see for yourself.....
I don't recommend this game.

Nice Change from Frantic Clicking, But I Like Frantic Clicking
I love TM games. They are my favorite. And this is a good one as games go. Has a lot of game play because it takes a while to upgrade everything so you really get your money's worth in playtime. For me it was a little slow. I like the fast-paced Diner Dash styled games, MKFTP and KC. So the slowness of the servers and machines kept me pretty frustrated, even when you upgraded to the top levels. I just tried to serve as many people as I could myself. It was very challenging, if not impossible, to get expert level every day. And that was second thing I didn't like - there is no way to replay the day once the daily score got "finalized". But if you just want a laid back TM game, this is a good one to play.
I love time management games, but I do like them to be semi-challenging. This was a fun game, fun enough to pass away some time, but it was not in the least bit challenging. For me if I have to replay a level (even several times), that is challenging. But this one, other than a few of the bonus levels (which were more strategy than challenging), I had more than enough time left at the end of each game. But I would recommend it, just don't expect too much of a challenge.
