I have all editions of Park Ranger and love them all. I like that the characters stay the same and are familiar. I like that the workman is in the manhole. There is enough challenge to make it interesting but not so hard that I get frustrated and quit.
Will be looking forward to the next game from this developer. I also will put in a vote for another Halloween game. I love those too.
With the zoo theme I thought I would like this. It just never caught my interest. The graphics were fuzzy (think - a comic book) so some of the hidden objects were hard to identify. (I would be on a page with one object left so I used a hint - thought to myself that is a glove?? Who would have guessed?) Aside from not loving the look of the game, I just got a little bored after a few minutes. I may go back and finish at some point but not high on my list. I purchased as a buy one with Nature Escapes 4 (which I like a lot), so I really did not lose anything.
I have most of the The Christmas Wonderland games and always buy them without a trial, because I know they will be great. It usually is one of the first holiday games to come out, and it always cheers me up and helps boost my Christmas spirit. Like all of the games, the characters and the scenes are familiar, which is part of the charm. This version brings back the hidden snowman in each scene and adds a few twists to gameplay (yes, the angel will go on the tree, you just need to figure out how to get her there). I always have a bit of a time getting the game to install with the visual C loading, but I get past that and enjoy a few hours of Christmas fun.
It made my day when I saw a new Park Ranger had been released. I know that a lot of the scenes and games are a lot like what has been done in the past. It is like the vacation home you rent for a week every summer. Yes, it it just like it was last year, but that is why you love it so much.
I usually play the games more than once, and am on my second try at this one. I think they have more jigsaw puzzles in this version, and they do take a while to complete. I would not mind a new type of mini game.
Cannot wait for the next Casual Arts game to be released.
I do love these games. It is very familiar if you have played a lot of the games in this series, but fun just the same. I think this one is a bit more challenging the the others, but I did enjoy it. Some of the objects are mostly hidden or behind things, but with one exception, I found all of the objects. The jigsaws are doable, but much more difficult than any I have seen before. It is like a vacation with extended family. Its the same place and same people, but you have loads of fun anyway.
I always look forward to this game, it puts me in the Christmas spirit. Yes, it is very similar to the other Christmas Wonderland games, but the familiarity is part of the charm. I do think that this game is a bit more difficult than the others in the series, they have really hidden many of the objects where only a small piece is showing. Even the icon for the photo album is now blended into the scene. It did not take too long to complete, and wished it could have had a few more scenes.
I knocked it one star for the clunky installation. I had 3 or 4 attempts at getting the visual c++ to install correctly. It finally worked, but had to use program manager on windows 10 to delete all previous versions and then let it reload with the game. This is the second Casual Arts game that I have purchased within the year that has this problem. I typically buy at least one game a month, and these are the only ones that do not download and install seamlessly.
was a pain to install but once accomplished, is as fun as the others

It took several attempts to install this game. The visual C++ installation failed three times before I figured out that I had to uninstall any previous versions in settings, and let it reinstall with the game. Once done, it is the familiar vacation game that I always enjoy. The less than 5 star rating is entirely due to the klunky installation and lack of instruction on the front end.
