This game deserves the 5 star reviews it received. The graphics were excellent and the story line fun. I enjoyed the choice to play mahjongg rather than an HOS. The puzzles were fun without too much challenge or frustration - some puzzles in other games are so tedious where you know the solution but it takes a million steps to get there. I'd love to see more games like this one.
After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give this game a try. I'm glad I did! The story was interesting and the puzzles were challenging. I liked that the puzzles ran through different themes - some games seem to have the same type of puzzles throughout. The graphics were very good so searching for the hidden objects didn't make me go blind. Finding and using objects also required some creative thinking. The bonus games were also fun and I enjoyed that there were two chapters to play. I definitely will play this game again.
Like others, I thought the game was geared to children at the beginning. Then the storyline took a weird twist and the subject matter became too intense for young kids. A couple of occurrences took me by surprise and one had me feeling kind of sick but chuckling at the same time. One word popped into my head at the moment: "twisted." Found the unexpected appearance of one particular origami pretty funny, too. There was an "awww" moment at the end. The gameplay was relatively easy and the artwork clear. The game itself took only a couple of enjoyable hours to complete.
The story was innovative and engrossing. I got stuck in some areas, but the hints were helpful. It could have been longer, but I still recommend this game for anyone that enjoys finding solutions to situations - real thinker this one. Would enjoy playing more games like this one.
