Very frustrating! You are constantly waiting for something to happen. Slow! Wait and wait to be able to skip a minigame you don't like. Wait ten seconds for a screen to complete. I tried the earlier ones, and thought they might make some changes to this one, but they didn't. Wait, wait, wait. Boring.
I don't recommend this game.

I played most of the trial but quit to preserve my sanity. Objects are faded and hard to find. Music is same thing over and over. Mini games are not bad. Not a lot of fun.
I don't recommend this game.

The developers didn't learn anything from the comments on the previous games.

I played the free trials of the games in this series, and while I enjoy relaxing with simple hidden object games there are just too many irritating things about these. The long wait between scenes, (you should be able to click through the score adding process,) the dreadful music, and the way too easy mini games to name a few. I probably would have bought a couple if they had made some adjustments from the first couple.
I love hidden object games. I would love this series if the games were not so poorly made. Why do you have to sit and wait for the next level to load every time? Why do you have to wait 2 minutes to skip a mini game? I enjoy most of the games, especially the jigsaw puzzles, and appreciate the fact that they are challenging, but some I do not like, like the "find the difference" ones and just want to skip them. Also, I will not buy a game that does not tell me how many levels there are. I'm not going to buy a game and then find out I could have finished it in 2 hours. And what can I say about that twangy music? I just shut it off.
I have a couple other Big City games and wanted something new so I bought this one. Disappointed to say the least. Nothing new in the mini games area, same as some of the others. Too many dark areas in the scenes, where items are hidden so you can't find them even if you know where they are. Lots of color on color, like black on black and white on white. Come on guys, there's a difference between being cleverly hidden and an eye test. I would NOT buy this again.
I already had several of the other Jewel Match games and play them all the time. I worried that this might just be a continuation of the same stuff, but there is plenty new and very challenging situations. I like that once I have been through the game I can go through it again on the increased difficulty mode. I also like that I don't have to build the castles if I don't want to, I just don't buy a bigger chest to hold more money to buy parts. This is my new favorite game.
I write very few reviews, so believe me on this one. I have played or purchased every game in this series because they are relaxing and mindless. This one has it all - many levels, bonus levels, ability to play relaxed, timed, or number of moves, chose from 2 difficulty levels, bonus games, and not a lot of "theme" stuff going on. Just basically build castles. You can't finish this one in a couple hours, it is satisfyingly long. It has it all!
This is my "go to" game when I just want to relax for a while in mindless match 3.
I have played all the way to the end, (level 100) in both the timed and the limited moves modes, and will probably play them again. I like the fact that there is no story or mini games unless you want to go there.
I don't like "Adventure" games, or puzzles like Mah Jong and Sudoku, so I played Match 3 maniac (timed, no adventure) from the start. Really nice option.
I got caught up in the untimed but limited moves option, and thought I was going to have a stroke trying to get past level 5. Then I figured out that you have to buy the tools as you go, and things got a lot easier. But still not easy. I am on level 40 right now, thanks to spending 14 hours of my day off playing. I am wondering how many levels there are, but I guess I will find out. :)
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I love this type of game, but this one is terrible. What is the sense of making the puzzles so hard that you have to keep going to the walk through to continue? The puzzles themselves are not the problem, the problem is there is no direction on what is actually needed. Also, the hint button only works on the morph scenes, so it is no help navigating - oh and did I mention - there is no MAP! As for the morphing objects, raspberry to that. I just cannot see them. It is frustrating to have to wait for the hint to charge over and over. I am sure glad I got this on sale! Not even worth what I paid. Very high frustration factor!
