This is a fun game, where you have to repair a stretch of railroad for each level, chopping down trees, allowing trains through, fetching water, repairing sawmills etc .. oh and enlarging your workplace to hold up to 3 workers.
The way I played it was to go all through untimed, then through again timed. It's not at all difficult, but you do need to think a bit when you're on timed mode. It's fun, especially if you like trains!
I recommend this game!

I'm not a big fan of 'hidden object' games - in fact this is my only one - but if you're going to have one, this seems like the one to have!
It's really cool and relaxing having aquaria to decorate, fish that talk to you, and a game to play when you need a change. Even the hidden object part is quite fun, with at least a dozen different underwater scenarios, each one with groaning and creaking 'wreck' sounds, and shoals of fish that swim across the screen.
There's two negatives. One is a bug - one of the 'hidden object' games is to find everything gold in the scene, but one scene that has so far appeared twice, has one gold item behind the top graphic - 'Hint' shows you it's there, but you can't click it.
The other is to do with the talking fish. They're great fun but the A.I. database is too small and you get the same familiar chat repeated too often. It would be really cool Playrix, if you would expand the database so the chat is less predictable? Thanks! Otherwise it's a nice, pretty, charming game.
I recommend this game!

This is the game I bought which I probably play the least. Why? Because although it is great fun to play, quite difficult and challenging at times, and almost unbearably cute, there is one HUGE drawback: the slightest mistake and you have to return to the beginning of the level and start again, including that "oh so tricky" middle bit that always trips you up.
Now it's one thing in a strategy/tower defence game to enforce a level restart - you kind of expect it. But it shouldn't be a factor in a physics-based game like this, as people have different capabilities, and certain moves may be quite beyond them. There should have been checkpoints built in so you'd return to those instead. Poor design...
I don't recommend this game.

This is the special Christmas edition of the tower defence strategy game "Garden Rescue". It is very similar (same bugs, same strategies, same range of difficulty), but there are some improvements too:
1. Some bugs are dressed in comic little coats and scarfs as they advance through your snowy frosty garden.
2. You don't have to click on your strawberry's coins - just swipe the mouse over them; you also sometimes get scatterings of coins as bugs are killed.
3. There are new 'special weapons' in addition to the bomb, spring etc: hailstones, freezes, mini tornados, and a strange green smoke that - if you plant it just past a few weapons - causes some bugs to turn around and walk into the weapons fire again.
If you liked Garden Rescue, you'll love this!

The music is quite soothing, and a gentle female voice says "Level up.." and "Bonus!" (if you're playing the Classic Untimed mode, in which you complete levels while it gets harder). The other modes are Relaxation (untimed, no levels), Adventure (timed, gets harder, and you have to collect puzzle pieces for each environment), and Memory (which I've never played).
The best mode in my opinion is the Classic mode, where you need to balance the scales with fairy dust by matching fairy jars and freeing the fairies, to complete each level. Unlike most 'match' games, you don't swap individual pieces, but slide an entire row up, down, left or right, to match at least 3. It gets harder as you go on, with extra colours appearing so matching is harder, but also "locked" pieces which stop the entire row they're in from being moved in any direction. You have to match using a different row or column to 'unlock', or match another set using one of the special pieces which either changes all colours or frees the locked pieces.
The visuals and sound effects are fun, though the variety of gameplay - like Bejeweled Blitz and most match-3 games - is limited. However if you're after a fairly relaxing game where matched fairies fly out of their jars to soothing music, then you can't go far wrong with this, despite its age.
I recommend this game!

This is one of the best TM games I've played. It reminded me quite a lot of the old Diner Dash games, but in those, you played the waitress : you had to seat the diners, take & deliver the orders, collect and serve the meals, give the bill, clear the empties etc.
In Bistro Boulevard, you're more of the manager and Maitre D' combined. You have to hire staff and improve their skill levels, learn recipes (yes, you have to estimate the correct 3 main ingredients for each one!), see the customer desires for that day and allocate recipes to each chef accordingly, buy and upgrade kitchen equipment to meet these needs, upgrade decor and ornaments, buy more seating and tables as required. Having done all that, when the restaurant finally opens, you need to seat each group of arrivals at an appropriate table according to numbers.
Your staff will do all the cooking, serving, clearing, and bills, but only at the speed and skill level of what you've provided them with.
Once you've got the first bistro up to standard, you can then open another on the same boulevard, and acquire stars for doing so, and use them to open others.
One of the best aspects of this game is that while the restaurant is open for business, you only have to seat new arrivals. All the other work is done before that, in your own time with no pressure. So it's not an intensive game in that sense, but it requires a lot of planning and intelligent choices.
I do have one small criticism - you have to click and drag the restaurant floor to see the whole area; it would have been better to let the player see the whole of the floor area at once.
I've only played for less than 2 hours, but I can already see I'm going to be an addict!
I recommend this game!

This game is so like Plants vs Zombies it's hard to tell which came first. But it's such a good strategy game, one of my favourites.
I'll just say what ways it's like PvZ and what ways it's not.
Like:
1. You need to fight off invaders to your garden using plants as weapons (e.g. 'pea shooters').
2. You have to pay for your weapons as you go along (in this case using cash from your strawberries).
3. You get more weapons the more levels you complete.
4. Some weapons attack all enemies, others are specific to types of enemy.
5. The further you go, the harder it gets.
6. There's no time limit, and strategy is everything.
Unlike:
1. The enemies (in this case bugs) arrive in a set sequence for each level, one type at a time.
2. The path through the garden varies each level, making it more important exactly where you place your weapons.
3. There are 3 levels of difficulty (Private, Sergeant, General) and the later levels are HARD!
4. There are no additional mini-games or puzzles, only the main game.
The graphics are cute, though not as good as PvZ. However, the game is every bit as challenging, perhaps more so in the last levels of Sergeant, and at least half of General levels. In case you fail a level several times and get bored repeating it to try and complete it, you can move through at double speed until you reach the part where you get stuck. Unlike PvZ, you score between 1 and 3 stars each level depending how well you do.
It's a great challenge. I can recommend this for hours of fun!

I played the trial version for about 15 or 20 minutes, expecting it to offer something more than just 'match 3' - but no, that's all it was. I'm sure it gets harder as you go further, like Bejewelled Blitz, but to be honest, I've had my fill of match 3 games.
If this is your first Match 3, and you like the cutesy graphics and sounds, then go ahead. But I'll pass.
I don't recommend this game.

I had this on an hour's trial, and at first I decided not to buy it. It seemed a bit silly and the graphics looked kind of old-fashioned.
And yet.. and yet.. I returned to it a few times, and I slowly got hooked. It's funny, it's challenging, and you can win a level and return to it later, and win it again but with totally different shots. So there's almost infinite variety in how exactly you play.
It gets more challenging as you go on, and the levels need quite a lot of thought, though there is no time pressure, and no need to play levels within a 'district' in a set order.
Though the graphics are a bit retro, there is a lot of humour in the way they were created. My favourite bit of all is at the end of a level, when the destruction continues in slow-mo, hilariously.
The music is a repetitive bit of rock, but somehow I've not got tired of it like so often with other games.
Give this a try - it's different from your average game, and lots of fun!
I recommend this game!
