As many are saying the HO's are hard ONLY because the items are small - The mini games/puzzles were for the most part challenging - I only played the demo for 30 minutes before quitting, as I found it all to be slow moving and tedious. There is a map of the property/building, but you can't use it to get to any location - I found that highly annoying. Also, at one point a lighter is needed (and has to be found) in order to light something, yet the room (and adjacent rooms) all have torches! Duh! I hate nonsensical tasks!
Basically, I just didn't like this game and I can't recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

I loved this game, so I bought it. It is a nice change from the typical match 3. In this game you direct an octopus to fling pearls from the right side of the screen to the left. He has two colored pearls. If you don't like the main pearls color, you use your right mouse button to switch to the reserve pearl. Meanwhile other pearls are moving across the screen from left to right. If you accumulate too many pearls, and get too close to the right side of the screen, a warning sound goes off (rather like an alarm in a submarine). If you don't make a match within the next flung pearl or two...you will lose a life.
Note: to increase the level of challenge, don't allow yourself to swap pearl colors - The first time I played this way I lost all of my lives in level 14 and had to start a new game! (May I rest in peace!)
The graphics are very colorful, sharp, and likeable (cute). I enjoyed all the music and sound effects, particularly as I increased in levels and bonuses. The multiple explosions are great!
There are bonus rounds where you must shoot 'zombie sharks' without nailing any innocent goldfish. The tinier zombie sharks are very swift and wicked, so watch for them!
There are 30 levels in this game with six stages to each level (= 180 levels plus bonus rounds). I'm quite sure this took me somewhere between 7 - 10 hours to complete (including snack prep time). Also, to a large degree there is very little interruption between rounds, so it can get rather intense.
Note: you are asked about game preferences in the beginning of the game. You will need to tell it not to give you statistics in order to have the fast play through (you will still see statistics, just not as often). Also, I elected to not use tips, so I have no idea if they're of help. The initial instructions are displayed at the beginning of the game, and they are very simple to understand.
The storyline is very simple and charming and it is not forced upon you with endless pop-ups interfering with your game play, which I personally appreciate.
That's it. My best score so far is 2,257,526 if anyone would like to compete!
: D
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game - I gave it four stars instead of five because there were no HO scenes and the puzzles were a tad too easy. However, the level of challenge in figuring out what in the world you need to do was intriguing (reminded me of 'Green Moon' in that you don't get much help, and some of the 'reasoning' is abstract...but this game was easier than Green Moon)
There are several characters you come across and interact with, yet there is no rhyme or reason (or storyline) telling you why they are there! LOL! I thought it was terribly amusing and it is refreshing that the developers didn't make this another 'formula' game. I appreciated the challenge of obscurity and an excuse to swear now and again : D
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying this game makes no sense - It does make sense but you need to play for a bit before you start to get a feel for it. Give it a chance - Once you do, you will most likely have some fun breaking your brain!
I'm keeping this one in the Game Manager as a possible purchase.
I recommend this game!

I found this game slow and tedious, with little challenge to it. I knew what to do with everything...I guess I like to cuss and swear a bit trying to figure things out. I felt that there wasn't enough going on in each scene (only one or two things to look at before you have to move on, or back). The graphics were lovely in a very artistic way, but I would prefer them on my wall rather than in a game - The sketchiness of them gives me eye strain. The music was nice and the concept/story was rather clever I thought. I was disappointed that I came across no HO scenes, just a LOT of puzzles. I played through chapter one and then quit because I was getting very irritated by then. I do believe though, people who don't have a lot of experience, and/or those who like a slow, meandering pace in a game will like this one...it's just not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I always feel bad for the creators when a game is this awful - I know they put a great deal of work into it (art, coding, yada yada)...but sadly, this was possibly one of the most horrible games I've ever attempted to play.

Lovely graphics and colors - Tons of HO scenes - Lively Christmas music - Not a great deal of thought challenge, but is just a lot of fun to play.
