REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
You play a handmaiden that has been accused of theft and witchcraft and sent to prison to be executed. There are a variety of souls to rescue.
This game is okay. There are no bells or whistles to speak of. You have Casual and Expert modes of play and a diary. However, there are no voiceovers or an interactive map.
The graphics are what I would call hand painted and quite dark, however the colours are well done. I found it is easy to see where I was going to to grab the items needed. The music is orchestral and plays quietly in the background.
The hidden object games are ever so slightly interactive straightforward which you will do twice. Each HOP takes only a couple of minutes to do and most items are clear to see. I enjoyed doing these.
The mini-games are mostly very easy. There was one that I had to skip because I couldn't get the tiles to rotate, no matter how much I tried, so I gave up. However, I had no trouble with the rest of the mini-games.
All up the game took me about 4 hours to play.
Overall, not a bad game, but it didn't grab me either. I used it as a time filler in between those big games we play.
Definitely trial to see if you like it.

REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The main game is about you finding Jessica before time runs out, but should you? That is the question you will need to find out.
There are voiceovers (with dialogue), Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play and an interactive map.
The graphics are very good. There is plenty of colour and everywhere is crisp to the eye. I loved roaming around clicking on things to see what they did.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral and creepy sounds.
The hidden object games are mainly slightly interactive straightforward. There is one that you do by torchlight. You will do each HOP once. There are some where you have to find a variety of one item - like batteries, etc. These were fun to do and each one takes only a few minutes. Items are clear to see and grab.
There are a good variety of mini-games to play and I enjoyed them all. I've seen them all before but they were great to play again. None of these are too hard or frustrating and you can get back to the game fairly quickly.
I found I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because there are only a few scenes to accomplish before you move on, so there didn't seem any point in using it.
So, do you get the CE or SE? In the CE there are 25 paw prints to find, 9 collection dolls, 9 Achievements (some with 3 squares) and all the usual bling bling that we like. The bonus is separate to the main game ... but at the very end leaves a certain answer - and I'll let you find that out. Personally I find the CE the better choice here, but whatever your choice is, please don't let this game pass you by.
All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours or so. I was having such a good time and I was sad when it finished as I wanted to carry on all day.
Overall, a great game to put in your collection. There is plenty to do in each scene and the creepiness factor will keep you on your toes. Well done devs.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
You play Mina Lockheart and, along with your friend Malika, you are off on an adventure to defeat Lord Strix.
This is another gem by Cateia. I played 'Myths of Orion - Light from the North' earlier and really enjoyed it, so I grabbed this game as well. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Adventure and Challenge modes of play;
* 12 Achievements;
* Diary;
* Find 6 Bronze, 12 Silver and 20 Golden Dragons.
The graphics are good - colourful and sort of cartoony but very clear to see around and to grab items you need. I loved rambling around the scenes finding all the items needed.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral and plays quietly in the background.
This time there are no hidden object games to play - this is a purely adventure game - BUT SO MUCH FUN.
There are huge variety of mini-games to play. Most are pretty easy, but there are a few that take a while to conquer. What I thought was going to be an easy mini-game turned out to be longer than I thought. There are lots of rotating tiles, potions to find and make and getting things in the right order. I played them all and really enjoyed them.
There is no map in this game, so you will need to rely on your memory. Its quite a long game with three portals to travel through, so there is a bit of traipsing around through the portals, but its not hard to remember where tasks are to do.
I got 11 of the achievements. You get an achievement if you play on Adventure and one if you play on Challenge, but not both - its one or the other.
Finding the 6 Bronze, 12 Silver and 20 Golden Dragons are easy - they are not hidden and you just collect them on the way.
All up the game took me about 6 hours to play. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and will be looking for more Cateia games to play.
Definitely comes recommended. Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME
I thoroughly enjoyed this game which took me nearly 10 hours to complete playing on Challenge mode. You play the character Meredith and you are off on an adventure to find the three books of Knowledge, Law and Magic. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Novice, Adventure, Challenge and Custom modes;
* Interactive map;
* Diary;
* 12 Achievements;
* Find 12 Enchantress' Cross and 8 Witch's Talisman.
The graphics are great. Everywhere is well defined, clear and has plenty of colour. I loved roaming around having a good look.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral, piano, violin and oboe/cello which plays on a loop, but its beautiful music.
The hidden object games are straightforward, silhouette and find 12 spiders/handprints. You will mainly do each HOP twice. These had a good challenge as there was always one item that took me ages to find. I enjoyed doing them all.
There are a huge variety of mini-games to play. A few took me some time to conquer - especially fighting those demons. However, I took my time and managed to do them all without hinting or skipping. I've seen most of these before, but I enjoyed the challenge in defeating them again.
There are 12 achievements. I got 11 of them, but you get an achievement if you play on Adventure and you get an achievement if you play on Challenge - you can't get both - its one or the other. I felt that I had worked hard to get them, which is a real bonus for me - its a sense of accomplishment.
The interactive map works well if you need it. Its builds up to be quite a big game with lots of locations. In Challenge mode it does not show areas of interest, so you will need to work things out for yourself. I loved this.
Throughout the game you will be looking for 12 Enchantress' Cross and 8 Witch's Talisman. Get them all and you get an achievement.
So all up its a really long game, so well worth you hard earned money. Its a great adventure game with plenty to do in each scene. You will never be bored here. Most definitely comes recommended. Well done devs.
I'm just about to download 'Tales from the Dragon Mountain 2' from the same developer which looks good.
Happy playing fishes - this is a gem.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
In the main game you play Steven Blake to find your mother and sister who went missing 20 years ago. The bonus game is abut your father, George Blake, and Thomas Coldwell. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Hardcore and Custom modes;
* Interactive map;
* 16 Achievements;
* Find 20 morphing objects in game and bonus;
* Find 20 puzzle pieces in game and bonus;
* Collect items for the Fear Room.
The graphics are very good - everywhere is clear to see and well defined. There are plenty of ghosts popping up and whizzing passed to keep you company throughout the game. Colour is good without those horrible blues and pinks.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral and piano which plays quietly in the background.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward, silhouette and finding 6 pairs of items. These are all very easy to do and items are clear to see and grab. Each HOP only takes 2-3 minutes to do which you will do once.
The mini-games are fun to do. I've seen them all before but I enjoyed doing them again. The marble game took me a while to do cause I wasn't fast enough (hey, I painting the lounge at the moment and my right arm is aching - and that's my pitiful excuse).
The 20 morphing objects, 20 puzzle pieces and items to put in the Fear Room are easy to see and grab. A hand comes over them anyway, so not much chance of missing them.
I found I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because there are only a few scenes to accomplish before moving on, so there was no need to use it.
I managed to get most of the achievements, but failed on the 10 items in 10 seconds (yep, never going to happen).
In the Secret Room you are timed on having to find 4 spiders, 8 clown faces; 12 snakes, 16 contracts, 20 keys and 1 amulet. These are all morphing. This time it took me 14 minutes to find them all. I enjoyed doing these as they had a great challenge.
All up the game, bonus and extras took me about 5 hours (without hinting or skipping anything). I enjoyed the story line.
Overall a great game to play. A little on the easy side but definitely worth having a look at.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

Played around 3 hours of the game.
Sorry fishies, but I just didn't like the game. I bought the game due to the reviews, but found it was just too slow, with too much talking and not enough action. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Viking, Marauder, Berserker and Valkyrie modes;
* 14 Achievements;
* Interactive map;
* Find 37 Yggdrassil tiles.
The graphics are good. However, I found some of the tiles a bit strange and hard to decipher. Most places were clear enough to see around, but I was wandering around sometimes, not really sure what to do next.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral.
The first hidden object game had a good challenge, but the rest were pretty easy. Keep an eye out for the morphing object per HOP. Some of these were hard to find and blended well in the background. There are 16 to find in all.
I didn't come across many mini-games and the ones I did were all fairly standard. These are not hard to do.
There are 37 Yggdrasil tiles to find. Get them all and get an achievement. I enjoyed finding these.
I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because there are only a couple of scenes to play (or listen to) before moving on.
What I found most irritating was that there were so many cut scenes and such much talking that I grew frustrated and bored. I thought am I watching a movie or playing a game? I got around 3 hours into the game and thought "That's it, I've had enough and I'm on to another game".
Definitely trial before you buy to see if this is right for you.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
I had an amazing adventure with this game. Honestly fishies, don't let this one pass you by. The main game is about Colin and Alice and the bonus is about Steve and Kiara. Both stories are separate. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Hard and Custom modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* Diary;
* 22 Achievements
* Find 30 morphing objects (in game only).
The graphics are spectacular - well defined, crisp and easy on the eye. The devs put a lot of effort in this game and it shows. I loved roaming around everywhere and checking everything out.
The music is orchestral and very beautiful. I had it on very loud while playing.
The hidden object games are highly interactive silhouette. You find one item to use to find another item, etc. You do each HOP once. These were fun to do and there are also little mini-games in them as well. Each one takes around 5 minutes or so.
There are a great variety of mini-games to play and I loved them all. Some don't take long to do at all, while others I spent some time on. You know the ones - you've got to get them in the right order and/or colour. There was my old nemesis - putting the clock numbers back in their right place. That one took me ages!
For the first time ever I was able to turn off the morphing and collection items so that I could find them myself without the hand coming over it. What can say - I was in heaven. I played in Custom mode and turned everything off as I wanted the challenge and I got what I asked for. So thank you devs.
As well as the 30 morphing objects to find in each scene, there are also 7 signs, 8 scorpions, 8 dogs, 7 pinecones and 8 scrolls to find in the main game. There are also 12 mushrooms to find in the bonus game. These are pretty easy to spot and grab. The morphing objects were a lot harder to find as some blended well into the scenery. Find them all and you get an achievement and an extra puzzle to play.
I didn't use the interactive during the game, but had a play around afterwards and it worked well.
All up the game, bonus and extras took me well over 10 hours to play. I could have played 10 more given the chance.
Overall, an action packed adventure game with plenty to do in each scene and you will never be bored or frustrated.
Happy playing fishies, this is a gem.

I found I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because there are only a few scenes to accomplish before you move on, so there didn't seem any point in using it.
I managed to get all the achievements, so I'm doing a solo mexican wave here. Some of these were watching the credits, correctly answering 3 questions about the game and getting all the paw prints. So all perfectly well within everyone's reach to get them all.
All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours or so. I was having such a good time and I was sad when it finished as I wanted to carry on all day.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
This has got to be the longest game I've every played - it just kept going and going - no complaints there. Many hours of fun.
You have Casual, Normal and Expert modes of play and a Diary. However, there are no voiceovers or interactive map.
The graphics are pretty good and you will be able to find items easily. The music is orchestral, piano and chanting which plays quietly in the background. Its on a loop but the music is lovely.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward and silhouette which you will mainly do twice. Items are clear to find and each one takes about 5 minutes or so.
There are a huge variety of mini-games to play which are quite challenging. I spent many hours nutting these out and I was in heaven. Some are easier to do than others, but if you love a challenge like I do, then you are in for a treat. There were some mini-games I hadn't seen before and I really enjoyed doing them.
You have a medallion at the bottom right hand side of your screen which glows when you need to use it. You will use this to help you find items in various places.
Make sure you check your diary often as there is a lot of information in there to help you move forward.
Now, there are a lot of locations to visit and there is no interactive map, so you will need to rely on your memory. In all honesty I didn't have any problem with this and it is quite easy to remember where tasks are to do.
There is a lot to do in this game and you will never be bored. I think the developers did a terrific job and I didn't want it to end.
I honestly don't know how long it took me to complete the game - so many hours that I lost count - so good bang for your buck.
Overall, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with this game. The story line is easy to follow, there are great complex mini-games and plenty of places to visit.
Happy playing fishies - this is a gem.
I'm now going to buy 'Timeless - The Forgotten Town' CE. I love this developer.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
I really liked the game. But be warned, this is a basic game. There are Normal and Expert modes of play, however there are no voiceovers, diary or a map.
The graphics are quite dark and moody, however there is plenty of colour. The music is orchestral.
The hidden object games are straightforward. Some of these are very dark and a bit blurry, but I had no trouble at all finding all the items needed.
The mini-games are fun and I really enjoyed doing these. None of them are hard to do. The train mini-game had me going round and round for a while and took some time to finish it.
All up the game took me about 3 hours to play without hinting or skipping anything. I wished it had been longer as I was quite engrossed in the game and having fun.
Overall, an enjoyable game with plenty to do. If you can forgive the graphics, then you are in for a treat.
Happy playing fishies.
