REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
This is a lovely game to play with younger family members which would keep them entertained on those cold winter days. There is:
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play;
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Objectives book;
* Interactive map;
* Potion making kit.
The graphics are stunning - very colourful and crystal clear. It was lovely roaming around the scenes, never knowing what to expect.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral.
There are a huge variety of hidden object games to play - interactive straightforward, silhouette and fragmented. There are morphing objects in the HOPs as well. You will also find a certain amount of the same object - like crystals and sharp objects to break up the HOPs. These are all very easy to do because everything is clear to see and to grab the item you need.
The mini-games are fun to do - very easy and you don't need a lot of thought to do them. Younger family members will easily be able to do them as well.
You will be making quite a lot of potions and you will be finding all the items you need as you go through the game. I think there are about four to make in the main game and one to make in the bonus. These are not hard to do. Each time you make a potion, you will use it straight away.
So do you get the CE or SE? In the CE there are 15 Achievements, finding 15 figures and 34 puzzle pieces (main game only) and the usual other extras. The 34 puzzle pieces to find have a good challenge. A hand DOES NOT come over them and some are hard to find. The 15 figurines are easy to see and you can grab them as you go.
All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours or so, not skipping or hinting anything. I enjoyed it, even if it was a bit young for me. Its relaxing and I could take breaks to do other things and go back to it, and know exactly where I was.
Overall, a terrific game and definitely worth having a look at. Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
What a fabulous game. In the main story you play Elizabeth and in the bonus story you play Linda Dufresne. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Easy, Medium, Hard and Custom modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* Journal;
* 15 Achievements (with 3 stars each to accomplish);
* Find 28 swirls in the game and bonus.
The graphics are gorgeous - crystal clear and easy to see everywhere. Sound is good and the music is orchestral.
The hidden object games are interactive straightforward, silhouette, putting items back and listening to the story to find items. These all had a very good challenge to them. There is also one morphing object per HOP. These are always hard to spot, so I always tried to do them first in case I forgot about them before the last object was found.
There are a huge variety of mini-games to play ranging from fairly easy to very hard. I spent many hours tackling these and loved all of them. There were a few mini games I had never seen before, so I was in heaven.
I found I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because you are only moving a couple of steps forwards or backwards, so there was no need to use it.
There are 28 swirls to find in the game and bonus. A hand DOES NOT come over them, so finding them was a good challenge.
You get an achievement if you finish the game in under 4, 5 or 6 hours. Well ... wait for it .... I finished everything in 10 hours (not hinting or skipping anything). So I didn't get any form of an achievement for that. Oh well!
Overall, a fantastic game with lots of bells and whistles. It has a great challenge and I honestly felt quite mentally drained when I had finally finished the game during the course of the week.
Definitely worth putting in your collection. Happy playing fishies - this is a gem.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
You play Jacob to find you wife, Helen, who was taken by the Froids.
This is an okay game to play. I wasn't really impressed with the graphics and no voiceovers, but it is an old game. Its quite long too, so good value for money.
You have Casual and Expert modes of play and a diary.
The graphics are quite gritty and a bit blurry. However, the cut scenes are good and quite clear. There is quite a long pause as you go through each scene. I liked the ambiance of the game and that's why I played it through to the end. It has a good storyline and a feel of urgency to find Helen, which I enjoyed.
The music is chanting and I think cello or oboe which just plays quietly in the background. Its on a loop, but I kept it on as I didn't want to play the game with no sound at all.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward, which you will do twice. Most of the items are quite clear to see and grab, and each one takes about 3-5 minutes to do.
The mini-games are nothing new that I haven't seen before. These are not hard to do - the usual stuff of putting items in their correct order, memorise coloured lights, etc.
All up the game took me about 7 hours to play. It has a decent length to it which I played during the course of the week.
Overall, not a bad game. The story line is good and it would have been very enjoyable had the graphics been better. Trial it first and see what you think.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
Now, this is a pretty old game, but I really enjoyed it. Its a basic game with no voiceovers or modes of play, but you do have a diary. I liked the storyline and roaming around all the locations.
The graphics are very basic. There is plenty of colour and some scenes are well defined, while others are a bit cluttered.
The music is orchestral and piano which is lovely and I had it turned up loud throughout the game.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive fragmented pieces (FROGs), silhouette and straightforward which you will do at least twice. Some of these had a good challenge to them (especially the FROGS) and I enjoyed them all. There are also 15 clock hands, crescent moons, etc to find to break up the HOPs.
There are a good variety of mini-games to play. None are too hard or frustrating and you can get back to the game quickly. We've seen them all before, but they were fun to do again.
There are plenty of locations to go to. With no interactive map, you will need to rely on your memory, but its not hard to remember where to go.
All up the game took me a good 6 hours or so to play and I really enjoyed it.
Overall, if you can overlook the basic graphics and you like a good story and great adventure, then you will enjoy this game too.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
If you like being a detective and to solve crimes, then this is the game for you. There are three different stories involved, which are to help Lord Parkinson, Evelyn Somerset and William Hewitt.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advance and Expert modes of play;
* Diary;
* Interactive map;
* Evidence Board.
The graphics are quite good. Everywhere is easy to see and to find all items you need. The characters looked a bit cartoony but the train and surrounding areas are well defined. Sound is good. I really didn't notice the music.
The hidden object games are quite different and are all silhouette. To find some items there is a fingerprint kit, magnifier, blood detection kit and a flashlight to the left of your screen . You will need to use two or more of these to find the items you need. To use the fingerprint and blood detection kits, just click on them, hold your mouse and wave it all over the screen and these will pop up. At first I was just clicking randomly around, but that didn't work, so its best to hold the mouse and wave it around the screen. I enjoyed doing these and haven't come across these in a game before.
The mini-games are easy to do and I was able to get back to the game quickly. Some took me a while to do in get in the right order, etc, but nothing I haven't seen before.
There is an evidence board to complete and you will find items that need to be put on it to help complete the story and to find out what happened. This is easy to do.
All up the game took me about 5 hours or so. The only thing that kind of irked me was that there was too much talking to the characters. Yes I know, you have to find as much information as possible to move on, but I got a bit bored and just wanted to get on with the game.
Overall, its quite a good game and I know that a lot of fishies love their detective games. Its kind of a hit or miss game really and is better to trial it before you buy to see if it is for you.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
This is a terrific game and I really enjoyed it. There is:
* Dusk, Nightfall, Midnight and Eclipse modes of play;
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Interactive map;
* Journal.
The graphics are great - colourful, well defined and clear. All items I needed were clear to see and grab. The music is piano, orchestral and a few other instruments playing solo.
The hidden object games are interactive straightforward, silhouette and finding pairs. You also have three HOPs where there are sliders which go downward, upward and across to bring together silhouettes of pictures to make them whole and then grab the item you need. I saw this in a previous game and loved it, so I'm glad we got more of these in this game. I can really see this taking off as it makes a change to do a HOP in a different way.
There are a huge variety of mini-games to play - some of them are easy and you get back to the game quickly, and others which take a bit of time. The hardest one was at the end of the main game (where you are fighting the skeletal beast). That one took a while to conquer - well, actually I had almost given up when I thought "hang on, I need a teenager - any one will do". Well, he did it in less than two minutes, where I had been battling for 30 minutes! Here, you will need good eye co-ordination and speed (so no hope for me then).
I found that I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because you are only going a couple of steps forward or backward, so there was no need to use it.
All up the game and bonus from the CE took me about 6 hours, not hinting or skipping anything. I found the game fun and was disappointed when it ended.
Overall, whether you get the CE or SE, this game is a lot of fun to play and you won't be disappointed. There is plenty to do in each scene and there is a feeling of urgency to rescue your sister and to get out of there.
Happy playing fishes.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
This game is perfect for kids to play with family members. Its colourful, cute and easy.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* 20 Achievements;
* Find 31 morphing objects and 37 playing cards.
The graphics are very bright, colourful and quite cluttered. I would have to stop at every scene to try and get a bearing of what items looked like and what was needed. As you look around you can click on certain things and they change shape or colour or move. Kids would like that.
Sound is good and the music is a woman singing and a cello (I think) playing on a loop. I turned it down after a while because it became boring.
The hidden object games are mainly interactive straightforward. These are very easy to do and you can get back on with the game quickly.
The mini-games had a good variety. These ranged from very easy to medium. Nothing that I haven't seen before but perfect for kids to play.
The 31 morphing objects and 37 playing cards are very simple to find and you can just pick them up as you go. To the left of the screen you have an arrow which lets you know how many morphing objects and playing cards are in that scene, just so you don't miss any along the way.
The 20 achievements are very easy to get.
All up, a nice game to play with family members on a rainy day. For seasoned players who like more depth and challenge to a game, give this a wide berth.
I don't recommend this game.

Sorry, but this is not a good game. Its very basic and the game took me about 3 hours to play.
There is:
* Casual, Expert and Professional modes of play;
* Diary;
* Voiceovers at the beginning.
The graphics are very dark and muted. It was hard to find items I needed to carry on, which became frustrating.
There are voiceovers at the beginning but stopped after that and you have to read everything from there.
The music is orchestral and on a loop, so I turned it down after a while.
The hidden objects games are slightly interactive. Items are hard to see because everywhere is so dark.
Some of the mini-games had a good challenge, so I enjoyed those.
Overall, I won't be playing the game again. Its just not to my taste and I hate feeling frustrated and bored.
Definitely trial before you buy.
I don't recommend this game.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
I really enjoyed this game. I believe it was a CE originally, so at the end of the game, there is no bonus, even though they say to play it. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play;
* 10 Achievements;
* Interactive map;
* Tim the robot to help you get items out of reach;
* Use of the mindscope to read minds.
The graphics are great - scenes are well defined and items you need are easy to see. The story line is easy to follow and I liked the characters. Sound is good and the music is orchestral and really lovely - I had it turned up very loud.
The hidden object games are interactive silhouette where you find one item to use to find another etc. These are not hard to do and I enjoyed them all. You can also play Mahjong if you fancy a change or can't quite find that last item.
There are a huge variety of mini-games to play. Most of them are pretty easy to do and it doesn't take long to move on with the game. A couple of them took me a little while to get in the right order - but nothing frustrating or maddening.
I found I didn't need to use the interactive map because you don't venture off too far and its easy to remember where tasks are to do.
The game took me about 5 hours or so to play on Expert mode with everything turned off - I love this feature. However, you can change your difficulty at any time.
Overall, a fantastic game. You will be making potions and a fixing a lot of machinery, so be prepared to get hands dirty!
Its not a hard game to play and is perfect for playing in between those big games we play. Its also perfect for all members of the family.
I really like this developer. A couple of the characters seemed familiar and I remember playing 'Namariel Legends Iron Lord' a few years back and enjoyed it. Definitely worth having a look at.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!
