Excellent game. Nice creepy Halloween graphics. Not enough games out there centered around Halloween. Main issue was the length of the game, definitely too short. If you don't mind spending money on a game that isn't as much bang for your buck, definitely fun while it lasted.
I really have to wonder if people submit reviews to just pull down a game's rating. No other explanation for the 2 and 3* reviews for this game. Excellent game, graphics, storyline, as you'd expect from Mad Head. I'd agree with one reviewer that the "warnings" for this game about it being so intense, etc, are not warranted. But other than that, no reasonable way someone could give this game a bad/mediocre review.
I usually love all EIPIX games I play, but their games lately have been getting shorter and shorter and more run of the mill. First of all, for a game titled "Curse of the Banshee"...you'd expect a Banshee in the game, but no, there isn't one. There are also practically no special effects or cut scenes, making the game go by even faster, and making it somewhat boring. This completely feels like the developers saying..."we have to kick out another entry in the series, hey, someone, quick, generate a quick concept and kick it out in a week." The game is that mediocre and short. My three star rating was probably generous, because as I type this, I'm realizing how poor the game was overall. Really, only would recommend if someone didn't have another game they wanted to download and play. 2 1/2 * game, nothing at all to write home about.
Excellent entry. I like how they expanded the scope of the game outside of the typical hotel/grounds. Nice blend of reality elements in the hotel and fantasy/nightmare visuals in the extended scenes.
Im confounded as to all the negative/mediocre reviews of this game. This was a great entry in the series. Interesting story, great moody, dark atmosphere. Level of challenge wasn't too hard, which is how i like it.
If you liked the past entries, you should like this one. Solid story, excellent graphics, decent puzzles. The game is very straight forward and the HOP scenes are very easy, so if you like a more challenging game, this game probably won't be for you. If you like it more straight forward like me and you have enjoyed the series, you should enjoy this entry.
I recommend this game!

Yuletide Legends: The Brothers Claus Collector's Edition
Excellent Christmas game. Great graphics, puzzles and HOP's. Sights and sounds do a great job of giving off that great Christmas vibe. And the story-line of the evil brother adds just enough drama.
The last game in the series was mediocre. I had hopes this game would return the game to it's heyday. But alas...nope. First and foremost, the plot/background to the story was abysmal. Besides being like half of the games out there in terms of plot, hardly anything is explained. For most of the game, there is no motivation to the events happening. You add on top of that a rather mundane set of HOP's and set of puzzles, and tasks, and you end up with a big "Meh" of a game. Parts of the game are fun, but many of the tasks get very mundane in the end. As the game went on, instead of wanting to play more, I kept telling myself...."wow this is kinda boring and tedious". Overall, probably a 2.5* game. Elephant games quality definitely appears to be dropping, especially in this series.
Exactly my kinda game, a murder mystery, in a remote mansion, while a storm is raging....... Love how they use other EPIX series as inspiration for the suspects. HOP's are rather easy, so the level of challenge isn't incredibly high, but it has nice graphics, great story, great atmosphere. If you are a fan of the series, you should love this one.
Definitely the best in the series since the original and a huge improvement over the mediocre last entry. Spooky, good graphics, good story, nice "creep" level, and fun/original HOP's and puzzles. If you liked the series and were hoping they could revive it after the last few misses, you'll be glad you played this one.
