This is a terrific game, very rewarding to play. The animations especially are enjoyable.
The trophy features add a replayability dimension - it's a shame there are not more games that encourage playing more than once.
The two modes 'Fame' and 'Fortune' provide an interesting dimension to play, 'Fortune' mode gives you three levels to play through and produces a daily fortune at the end, a bit like you see in fortune cookies. However the text produced in that mode sometimes don't make sense.
The 'Fame' mode has an astonishing array of levels and utilizes a star-based rating system but sometimes I feel it is too difficult to get 3 stars on some of the layouts.
I recommend this game!

I'm fairly new to these games, but I have to say having tried this out I was a little bit disappointed.
The story was quite short but very engaging, although the various parts of the game felt themselves a bit isolated with little connecting them. Calliope's 'essence' was split into three parts by parties unknown, and our job is to find the pieces and bring them together again to heal her.
The main story is split into these three sections and a fourth as a conclusion. There are some light-hearted moments and the puzzles weren't too challenging; I didn't have to use the hint or skip buttons once. But if you're looking for a good 'bang for your buck' there are better alternatives out there.
