BASED ON FULL VERSION + BONUS CHAPTER
OVERALL IMPRESSION: This game lives up to its name "True Fear" I feel goosebumps while playing this game. This is DEFINITELY NOT for children, do not play when there are children around, and please take the red warning from BF seriously.
ATMOSPHERE It send chills down my spine, I only played this game during the day and dare not at night. There are cut scenes throughout the story, and I have to say, they are very appropriately spread out through the game and the timing of it is just right where it should be.
HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES (HOS) challenging and some items are very small so you will have to have a kin eye to spot the little things (there are over 15 items in each HOS to find) Puzzles are not too challenging but its not too easy to get through either.
MAP & DIARY There is an interactive map (which I always appreciate) that allows you to travel & indicate hot spots (i.e. objective & actions available)
There is a diary which has "Story" & "Clues", you will want to refer to the Clues section, all important information found during the game can be found here
CONCLUSION I personally find this game better than Ravenhearst (all 3 versions). I'm a gamer that likes VOs and cutscenes; Ravenhearst don't offer such. And I find it very frustrating to play that game, I have to constantly refer to the guide just to get through the game. I even have to give up on the 2nd game because there is a huge glitch which many fishies has experienced and I am not happy with it.
Anyway, back to True Fear. In case you don't know, this is the first part of The True Fear trilogy, and in the CE you will find more information in the Bonus Material section about the next 2...chapters. As per the developer, the sequel will be out in Fall 2014! I can't wait to find out more about Holly & the secrets that her mother is so desperate to hide, and who is that mysterious figure lurking about the asylum?
I recommend this game!

I definitely have to give credit to the developers, graphic designers and all those who has contributed to this outstanding game! This is by far MY FAVORITE OF FAVORITES.
GRAPHICS - Stunning. The theater & all the rooms/stages are very well drawn, I actually have taken my time to "appreciate" the artwork! Objects in HO scenes are cleverly hidden but not overly difficult to find (if you just look a little more closely).
SOUND TRACK/MUSIC - LOVE IT! I was hoping they will have one of the sound tracks in the bonus content after I have finished the main + bonus game play, and thank you developer, it is available to d/l in the bonus content, will be changing my ringtone ^_^
This game reminds me of Swan Lake (which I have the privilege to attend to one of the performances done by the HK Ballet), maybe that's the reason why I love this game so much. Although the main story theme is not really related to ballet, but rather different types of performances that was being held in the Nightingale Theater (including ballet, the major focus)
Anyway, I'll leave you fishies to experience this game yourself, but I definitely "highly recommend" this game.
BF, when is the sequel coming????
I recommend this game!

I just finished this game and I must say the ending is quite surprising, well at least for me anyway.
HO scenes are nicely done, although I found them abit on the dark side so sometimes it will make small items difficult to spot.
You need to go back & forth to different locations for HOS, or to use an item found in HOS on something, which was quite confusing for me to keep track of which item is to be used where, because you do get a lot of items in your inventory and you will forget where you saw that location that you're suppose to use that item.
I do use the hint button quite alot to make sure I'm on the right track when I've found an item that I think is supposed to be used in a particular location, I will move toward that location and will click the hint button, if it indicates the same direction, then I know I'm on the right track.
