I have purchased every game in this series and enjoyed them, often more than once. However, I won't purchase this one. In almost every scene, there were items too small to be seen or had too little visual contrast with the surrounding area. While I enjoy a challenge, it is no fun to spend a lot of time looking for items, even using the magnifier, and still not see them. I hope items will be a little easier to see on the next iteration.
Unity, you make the best games! A fun game with interesting puzzles - the chain puzzle was especially challenging and interesting. More of these types of games, please!
This is based on playing the trial. Many grammar issues that make it difficult to know what to look for, such as supboard for surfboard. Having to replay the same boring game does not constitute a fun experience. Graphics are so-so.
An interesting game played in a casino setting. However, there are major issues. The game took me from Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 and I could not play any of the scenes. I was able to quit but not exit the game (tab not clickable). I ended the game and tried again with the same results. For the three scenes I was able to play, it was fun for the most part. Some items are small and not easily recognized. I agree with the previous rater that the game scenes are not sharp. I would consider buying if the game was repaired and it worked well.
This is based on completion of the demo through Ch 2. FF states they are trying a new type of game, but it doesn't play like a new game. You visit the same sites a number of times and look for pretty much the same items at each site, although some items change location each time. After the third time in the same site looking for the same items, it got old. The storyline is somewhat interesting but the repetitiveness that accompanies it is not.
I appreciate trying something new, but the quality was lost in translation of idea to game. Would love to see the storyline portrayed in more challenging scenes (no more than twice per scene).
The game is visually attractive and challenging, and I normally love Unity games. However, there was no way to redeal the cards when it is obvious the hand cannot be won. Had that option been available, the game would have been a winner.
The story line is interesting, although the first encounter with the wood cutter belies the real relationship. The game flows well and the mini games are interesting, fun, and mostly challenging.
BTW - the game has us pick lavender, not sage (although sage was in the picture).
I just played the first hour of the old and new games back-to-back and I don't see much difference. The colors are more vibrant in the newer version but not enough difference to warrant paying for it again.
If you didn't purchase the original game it is worth purchasing this version.
While the game is good and plays well, I am REALLY tired of the pop-outs and stars that interrupt game play. There is no challenge in the stars and they are super irritating. Why not have an option to "opt out" in the settings, similar to that for tasks.
I won't buy these games until I can play without interruptions!
This is based on the demo. After being so annoyed at the popouts in the last games, I decided not to buy any more like them. The popouts are irritating, slow down game play, especially when the popout indicates which action to select!, and make game playing less enjoyable.
I will say that the premise - children as detectives - is interesting.
