When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
Kudos to Creativity and the Spirit of Adventure: I am glad to see this game uses imagination and many new ideas. These talented artists, writers, developers have imagined a different world of unusual images and themes. Lots of surprises to keep me challenged. A FUN game. This one is unique as most games use the same old tired storylines, games and graphics as though they borrow elements from other games. A big round of applause to you developers! Thank you.
I recommend this game!

The Missing: Island of Lost Ships
After setting out to search for your missing friend, you find yourself trapped on the mysterious Island of Lost Ships.
The Missing: Island of Lost Ships has gorgeous graphics. I would give five stars for the images. The game's intelligent cover art drew me in to try it. Unfortunately, the game did not live up to expectations. I should have known that I wouldn't like it with the opening monologue. No believable character would risk the expense, time and possible loss of life to pilot a ship during dangerous storms to find a medallion. Just using the word medallion does not make it seem worthwhile. Is this a historical artifact that would change the world or is it worth millions? That pulled me out of the story. Obviously by the laughable dialogue (not in a good way, because it isn't funny) and stupid story someone made the decision that a professional writer was not needed to make a believable story and dialogue. Also, the puzzles were too easy and the HOS boring. What a waste of talented artists' time (except the "writer" who had to be the director or someone's non-writer relative) and financial investment to make half a game.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
This game has some elements I haven't seen copied in other games. It is always a find to see new ideas instead of the tired old abandoned car in the rain stalled in front of a creepy mansion gate style duplicated in far too many games. The surprises even made HOS scenes (which I usually rush through to get past them) more enjoyable with cute ideas. Give this game a try. It is worth it.

The cut scenes were like a movie and I enjoyed the way you can maneuver around in the game. Nice change from the usual games on offer here. Best one in weeks. Give it a try. I like it.

The earlier Redemption Cemetery games were far more satisfying. This is only mediocre. BAD acting by non-actors (developers' friends and relatives?), boring games. Sigh. Too bad.

Samhain is the best Big Fish Games purchase I've made. This game has the most innovative and breathtaking graphics I have seen here. The story is unique and well crafted. The acting is excellent. The cut scenes are fascinating and move the story forward. They are clear, beautiful and true to the story - much like a real movie. Most games on this site have cut scenes where I roll my eyes at the unprofessional acting (standing around looking at the ground, weird gestures, mugging) obviously done by friends of the game developers in cheesy costumes, not real actors. Usually, I click past the cut scenes because they repeat story elements already known or they are too grainy and badly illustrated. But, Samhain breaks the mold and makes the benchmark that much higher for all game developers. This is a true joy to play and I look forward to buying more of these wonderful developers' outstanding work.
