They are all fun, but sequels tend to get progressively more fun a they add new features to them, which is why this one doesn't have all 5 stars, because the others get better ^_^.
The graphics are cute, simple, but better than most TMGs tend to be. And also like most TMGs, it's a bit short.
It's quirky, comical and amusing to boot.
I recommend this game!

Wow it seems forever ago that I first played the first Cake Mania game! The very first of it's kind that I ever played.

Fun game! but as I say often, with most time management games, it's short and the graphics are not much to look at. That's typical, so not really much of a minus.
The things that I don't like are: - each time you go to a new store you have to start over with the basic equipment and no money from your previous stages. - You can't go back to previous cities to redo the games that you missed expert on. You have to start the whole game all over again.
ok, so I don't expect much in the visual quality of time management games, but this is just about bottom of the barrel in that department. At least I don't like the stylization of the art here.
The equipment upgrades happen on their own as you play, you don't get to earn them or pick and choose what you want to upgrade and when. I definitely would have liked to choose to upgrade the equipment in a different order than the game let me.
They had 2 different modes that were reaaallly annoying. One where you're in the dark and you have to use a flashlight to see your customers and what you're doing and the worst stages are when your customers don't tell you the color of the item that they want, so you have to make the item in each color till you find the one that they want. Those to me are less challenging and more annoying. There's a difference.
Also short and unfulfilling with no interesting extras.
As with the majority of time management games, this one is too short and graphic quality is low (although the looks often don't dampen the fun).
But it's fun while it lasts, and one aspect that I really like in this one is that when you move on to a new location you still get to keep your upgraded equipment.
This is another one of those games that is good for killing time if you have some spare time on your hands. There are better ones out there, but if you don't want to dig around you could find yourself enjoying this.
It can be a bit challenging later on as things get busier in later stages.
Same as most TMGs, the graphics are flat and stylized as you can see in the screenshots, but that doesn't effect enjoyment all that much.
I'd say the worst thing is that it's too short as many TMGs also tend to be.
One of the things I was happiest about with this game was that it lasted a lot longer than most Time Management games. So much better value than most.
The graphics are also better than most that you will see as well, but TMGs don't usually rely on their looks for entertainment value, so it's nice to see a fun one that looks good for a change.
Things definitely got challenging later on in the game as your "to-do" list gets longer and longer every day.
Definitely worth it!
I recommend this game!

DQ Tycoon
Build your own Dairy Queen franchise chain. Fast service; quick expansion. Manage up to four exciting locales.
I think the sequel is a bit more fun, but the 2 are nearly the same.
the only things I didn't really like about either game is that they are shorter than I'd like them to be and some of the mini-games between the rounds are not so fun.
