I played the demo for 1 hour just to see how far i could get even tho i knew i wouldn't buy it. I got 3/4 of the way thru. I guess it'd be an okay game for a beginner. Visuals were good, HOS and mini games very easy. I don't recommend this unless you're new to these games.

Based on the demo: Played on easy mode. HOS mixed with games are about equal, not too hard, instructions and skip available for mini games. hints refill quickly. Collect objects along the way, some objects need other objects to get. just enough places, running back and forth was okay, but it might get a bit hairy as the story goes on. You travel back and forth in time using a switch in certain rooms to change the lighting, interesting and i like it. there is a stone statue where you use special items to change them into useful items. i didn't use the hint outside the HOS so i can't say if it's useful there. haven't found any continuation about the story line.... have to rescue a friend, people get turned to stone..... Visuals weren't the best I've seen but clear enough. Music I turn low and found it unobtrusive.
I will wait to find out how long this game is before buying it. It might be worth waiting for the SE if the extra play isn't long enough. But that's just me, I make sure I get my money's worth, don't like feeling ripped off.......... Have a feeling tho this game is worth it!!!

i played the demo, and decided it was worth the daily deal price of $2.99. I'm not a big HO fan but this will come in handy to pass the time when there's nothing else to do.
There is a puzzle (easy) for every 3 HOS and items you find to use to find the crystals. Finding the crystals is the storyline so you can skip the cut scenes.
Music and graphics were okay, scenes were a bit dark and objects hard to find at times since they were half hidden.
The demo took me into the third chapter so I figure the game would take me close to 4 hours to finish (I peeked at the walkthrough to see the length!)

Played the demo after reading all the reviews for the SE and CE. The HOS were terrible and I used hint after hint just to get through all of them. Find the rings is the story line, boring! Not many items to keep in storage. usually you need to use the 1 item you have and need to run around to find where to use it. Then you can move on. This game is not my cup of tea. Too many bad HOS, dark, hard to find items and where to use them. If you like a challenge and hage good eye sight, then this game is for you, but if you're like me and want a fun game with puzzles and only a few HOS, plus a good story line then don't get this one!!

Based on the 1 hour demo:
No voice overs. HOS were junk pile and items small with no interaction. Story line is absent as you have to find hidden rooms and restore items that were hidden in them. Graphics were clear and music unobtrusive.
This is not a scary game, nor does it invite you to want to play more...... I enjoy a good storyline.
The puzzles were easy, I did skip 1 just because it would have taken me more time than I wanted since it was a demo and I wanted to see more of the game.
I played through 1 1/2 chapters out of 7 in the hour demo. I guesstimate it'd be about 4 hours play time for me..... I don't rush, like to take in the scenery and always go over everything twice to make sure I haven't missed anything. You might get through faster than me.
There is a journal and a task list, along with a map.
I'm not recommending this game because it lacks much but might be good for a beginner. There are far better games out there of this type.

Based on the 1 hour demo, which I couldn't waste my time finishing, this game is ba-ad on all points.
HOS everywhere and even they were bad. objects too small and more than one object in a scene but you needed to find the one they wanted. After you finished a scene your hand was held to do something. Quite Rediculous!!!
It was hard to follow the story because the HOS were everywhere. the graphics were badly outdated.
Unless you're a hard core HOG player I definitely DON'T recommend this game!
I don't recommend this game.

Criminal Minds

After playing the 1 hour demo, I will definitely buy this game. Before I began playing I checked the walk through to see if I could determine the length. it stated that there are 2 cases and the second is almost 3 times as long as the first one. I got about halfway through the first case, so i figure the game will give me about 6 hours of enjoyment. I play on the slow side, I think, compared to most. I take in the scenery and read everything - I enjoy the ride instead of racing to finish!
There are no voice overs, which doesn't bother me, the graphics were good, and the story line... well, we are solving a murder! I always keep the music low, but it wasn't intrusive.
The HOS weren't over done and the items were clear to see, sometimes on the small side. A little interaction - open this to find that and some of the words were scrambled. Finding question marks in the HOS will unscramble them. There are also coins you pick up which add hints or time. Nothing really special but easy and quick to get through.
No map or journal but there is a task list to refer to. Using a hint outside a HOS will open a pad with the next objective. You expand it to see the step by step moves you need to complete it. I did like this feature as i didn't have to read all the moves needed, just as much help as I wanted.
There's a victim to check over, a crime scene to investigate, other places to do things which help to talk to witnesses and open up new scenes. A little back and forth but not annoying. Fingerprints, background checks, and more.
Because of it's length, I think it's a really great buy at $6.99.
I liked this game and recommend it to those who want something different than the usual HOG, adventure, and strategy game. Of course,I suggest trying the demo out for yourself before deciding to buy it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game! For me, it had everything and then some. The graphics were great and the devs put some thought into extras.
The mini games weren't hard but imaginative in that there was a twist on the same old thing. Even the HOS were fun because of the unique interaction... I am not a fan of HOS but these were so enjoyable! I liked the fact that it told me what tool I needed if I clicked on it.
The length was good, about 4-5 hours for me over 2 days. I play these games for relaxation and entertainment, which is what this game is. If you want frustration look elsewhere.
I definitely recommend this game if you want a few hours of fun and very nice graphics.

1 hour demo review: Music is bearable, graphics are good, no voice overs, HOS are very easy with no interaction, Storyline doesn't have much to do with game play - saving each soul one by one is about it. Game play itself is a bit slow - I hate having to wait until the item I just picked up is safely tucked away before I can do anything else (it's just a few seconds but bothers me). There is a portal each soul opens up for you to go from the present to the past. There are blueprints (map) in the journal which shows the layout of the ship in the time you're in and, also, a small map of the other time - I do like a map. I felt that this game had great potential but it lacked imagination. Nothing I saw was new or had a twist. I had just saved the 2nd person's soul when my time was up. There are 6 altogether so I figure the length of play, for me, is about 3 hours. Length is very important to me so I won't be buying this game. I will put it on my freebie list and get it when, and if, there aren't more challenging and longer SE's to play. I recommend this game for those who want a very easy game to pass the time, but not for those seeking a challenge.
I recommend this game!

i've had this game for years and i still play it when i want a change of pace from puzzle, HO and adventure games. i'm not big on TM games but it NEVER gets old! the challenge is always there.... i just wish they had made a sequel like it.
