Based on the full game, plus the bonus chapter. Looking for a fun festive offering? This is it!
Cute storyline, fun characters, engaging gameplay, this game has it all. While none of the puzzles are too difficult, they also aren't so easy that you feel they are a waste. And, it's a variety of puzzles, plus fun HOPs with a variety of silhouette and list style games.
While there were only three chapters, they were fully fleshed out and with the bonus chapter, the game was definitely a worthwhile Collector's Edition purchase.

I'd been a little disappointed by a few of the previous Dark Parables games recently. But, this game was wonderful! Good length, with an engaging storyline. Especially if you've played other Dark Parables games. As always the artwork was beautiful and the HOPs, while not difficult were artistic masterpieces. The voiceovers and music fit with the game well, and in several places added to it.

Review based on full game plus bonus chapter. I liked this recent Chimeras game. If you like the whimsy and fun of Harry Potter, you will probably enjoy this game. Certainly, you will notice some similarities. The storyline was cute and entertaining. The voice over was largely well done and the music was lovely. The imagery and general artwork were beautiful. The HOPs were definitely on the easier end of things, as were most of the skill games. My biggest complaint was that this was a very short game. Only three chapters plus a bonus chapter. These days I expect at least 5 chapters plus a bonus chapter, especially for what you pay for the Collectors Editions. The bonus chapter was nice, but you won't really miss anything if you only play the main game and don't purchase the collector's edition. If you enjoy cute, happy ending, casual gameplay. This is a nice game to play.
Very disappointed in the length of this game. I liked the plot, and it could have been great. But it's like they wanted you to be excited enough to buy the game from the trial period, then rushed to finish it. Only took 30 min past the trial period to finish the game, then another 30 min to do the bonus game. Definitely should have read the other reviews, but I really enjoyed the first part of the game and thought it was going to be fun to continue. The artwork was on par with other games, the general gameplay was pleasant, a little easy, but I don't mind that. There were two slightly annoying mini-games in the bonus chapter, a match three style game and a change all the tokens to one design style game. Basically, this could have been a really good game, but the length and rushed ending ruined it. I feel like I wasted good money on this game.
I don't recommend this game.

This isn't a bad game. The characters are fine - not necessarily ground breaking but good. The general premiss is traditional to games likes this, with the added twist that the experience takes place in "Alaska". The artwork is very pretty, if you love the Northern Lights, they are always showing. The games are good, mid-level hard. If you are an old pro at these games you won't find them challenging, but you also won't find them horrifyingly easy. This game has a lot of potential and I can see how many people will enjoy it. However, and this is why I didn't buy the full game, it's not actually Alaska! As an Alaskan, I'm not surprised at the inaccuracies, but still disappointed. For one thing, you don't see the Northern Lights all the time, for another Alaska has beautiful weather in the summer - without snow, also the native people are nothing like they are shown here, etc. So, someday I look forward to a game set in AK that actually had some research done.

This review follows my playing the full collectors edition game. I enjoyed the main game. The storyline was creative and a little different from other games I've played. It wasn't super deep, but fun. The game play was fine, not great, not bad, just fine. The voice overs were okay. In general, a fine game, There were a few glitches. I probably wouldn't pay full price for it, but if it's discounted, or you have a coupon, go for it. My complaints were around the bonus game. The plot was sad, there were several glitches, and puzzles were frustrating. It's like they just threw something together at the end to make a bonus game. Definitely wouldn't recommend the collector's edition.
This game was great fun, from the into to the end. It had clever playability, with creative problem solving. I enjoyed the idea of a strong female main character, and liked seeing a popular story with a fun twist. The puzzles weren't particularly difficult, but they were fun. And searching for the wanted signs was a neat extra. Looking forward to more games for GoGii.
I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It had a unique storyline and premiss. The puzzles weren't difficult, but finding the pieces did involve some pretty good searching. The world design was clever and beautiful. I'm looking forward to more games from this designer.
