You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
Definitely another great game to keep in your collection. The CE was definitely a good buy over the regular version.
The visual and audio of this game were wonderful. The accents were a nice touch as the game was set in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The music for this game was so enamoring that it entrances you into feeling you are actually in a New Orleans jazz club especially when doing the slideshow minigames. The game itself wasn't as challenging, but I had it on the casual setting so you can always change that.
The extras of this game were also great. During the game, you have to collect music symbols, but if you happen to miss one, the extras allow you to go back to those scenes you missed and collect the symbol. You can also go back to the HO games that you didn't complete as well as they wanted and redo them until you get the best scores.
I loved this game!! I found this game a breath of fresh air after playing so many mediocre games. The CE is definitely a game worth having in your collection.
The artwork and audio was so great that I didn't want to stop playing the game for a second. Collecting the pets was a nice change of pace instead of collecting morphing objects. The cards for the vengeful demons were a nice change of pace also. I love games that have the map that you can use to quickly get to different areas, which this one did.
The extras in this game were also great. They allow you to play the minigames over whenever you want along with other minigames.
I have been a huge fan of the Awakening CE series since I bought the first one; however, this one was a flop for me.
I liked the regular portion of the game, very entertaining, good storyline, puzzles, etc. The problem was that i could click on something 10 times and it still wouldn't select it in the puzzles and hidden object scenes, and no it isn't my computer since I have never had this problem with the other games. Since I am using a laptop, you can see how this can be frustrating. I loved that they finally added a map to tell you where you have a task. Other than this issue, I had no problems with this portion of the game.
The bonus chapter was horrendous!!!! I had the same issue in this portion as in the regular version, except it seemed to get worse. I ended up having to skip most, if not all, of the puzzles except hidden object scenes. They completely lost me on the storyline. The items you obtain don't also seem like you would need them in particular areas when you do. It was just a mess.
In my opinion, skip the CE and just buy the regular version.
I downloaded all of the Echoes of the Past games and took a weekend off to play them all. I do love this series, but I wasn't overly ecstatic about this one.
Although I liked the game and the puzzles, I started to get a little lost on what I should do with some of the items that I picked up along the way. It was just not clicking for me.
It seemed like they skimped a little on the story aspect also. You have minimal interactions with the Witch of the story and once you save a character, you have a small voiceover that tells you to go and save the next character.
The difficulty on this game was good. Its what I would expect from a multiple game series. The puzzles weren't too difficult, very thought provoking.
As for the Bonus chapter, the crystal spiders are back! It didn't even seem like the Bonus Chapter went along with the rest of the game. Maybe that is just me though.

I think this has to be my favorite, but the Dreamless Castle is high up on my list of favorites as well.
This was the game that started me down this series, and I still go back and play it sometimes. What else could I possibly say other than I can't wait for the fourth edition for this game and that I still go back and play it.
The scenery is still as good as it was from day 1. The voiceovers and everything else were magnificent too. Not too hard, but not too easy. However, I did think that it was a little short.

I really liked this game. This follows the rest of a great series of games. The graphics/scenery I loved, the voice overs were good, the storyline was still there.
Although I love this series, this was the one that didn't hit the right spot with me. I did like the game, but the level of difficulty was a little up there with some of the mini games. The area I had the most trouble was with the munchkins. This can be easily fixed though.
Other than that, it is a great game and I would recommend it.

First off, let me start by saying that I loved this game. I loved everything about this series of games so far. Okay, now that I'm done with that, let me start in on the game.
The graphics were excellent. The scenery was simply gorgeous, wish I could move there! I loved the voice overs. And the storyline was marvelous. The level was difficulty was just hard enough not to have you checking the hints all the time, but not too easy either.
I think the only complaint that I had about this game was that I didn't think it was long enough, I just wanted it to keep going, and thankfully they came out with another part to the series after that.

Like the other people who gave this game a low review, I was expecting some great game. I guess my expectations were too high though because I just couldn't wait until this game was over.
Don't get me wrong, the graphics I thought were better than most. I liked what little voice overs they had; although I wish there was more of them.
And even though I didn't particularly like the game, I thought it as a good length for a normal deluxe or regular version game. It wasn't too short to have you scratching your head to ask where the rest of the game went, but it also doesn't drag on that much unless you didn't like the game to begin with.
The storyline was okay in my opinion. Although it was tough to follow at times, it served its purpose.
However, the bad outweighs the good with this game. I hated that I had to click multiple times due to the game not recognizing where I'm clicking, because it does begin to wear the wrists down especially on a laptop. Like I said before, it could've used more voice overs because the ones they did have were good.
The level of difficulty on this game was a little high for my taste. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes you never knew what to do with certain items. And through the end, which I think was the easiest part, was the time where I gave up on the game, especially the mini-games because they weren't fun at all, and just started to keep hitting the skip/hint button.
I really liked this game. I liked the storyline with the multiple characters and I especially loved the main villan, however, I did feel a little jipped in terms off the difficulty because it was a little easy.
The graphics were great, this game was the first one that didn't give me graphics issues when I would change the volume. The sounds were okay. I did listen to the voiceovers and those were great.
But like I said before, there wasn't really a challenge with this game. The HO were easy, the bonus was easy, I had a little trouble with the plants, but other than that I would recommend this for even a beginner. Other than the easy difficulty for this game, it is a rather enjoyable and fun game.
What else can I say other than I loved this game. It had a very interesting story line and plot. It was very easy to get lost in the game and not want to stop playing. It had not just one story line, but many of them for the different characters, so it was kind of like a book of short stories that were all interrelated by the one house.
The graphics were great. I loved that a lot of the videos were realistic to me in a way, unlike alot of the other games that I have played. I kept the sound on for this game, which is really saying something since I rarely leave it on.
As for the level of challenge, it was at just the right level, not too hard and not too easy. There were a few tricky spots, especially with the bonus game, but can be completed with a little thinking.
