Just played the demo for now. The story is about a girl trying to find her identical sister.
Great graphics and voice overs. The HOs are easy, but, with a twist - if you want you can do a match 3 instead of the HOs. What I didn't enjoy at all was the added bell type sound when you found an item, finally had to turn the environment sound off and the music down.
You collect coins along the way to purchase items from the magician.
I recommend this game!

A great non-violent game. There are 16 storylines and 4 bonus chapters. The HOs are fun to complete with a few puzzels thrown in. The game plays about the same on each storyline, but, the nice thing is the diffent storylines.
You have to locate clues to each mystery then eliminate each suspect.
Not very challenging, but, enjoyable.

While playing the demo I found that it did indeed crash on me about 4 times, which was a major deterent in not purchasing this game.
Now, besides that the game could be enjoyable. The graphics are great and the voice overs are fine. But with that said, they could have been a bit more inventive with the way they presented the storyline. The opening scene is great with the life like presentation. That ends when the characters are telling their part of the story. The voice over continues, which is nice, but the scene changes to a drawing with some type of character (ghost like) unanimated (like someone is just pushing the character) movement across the screen. This part of the game is very poorly done.
The HOs scenes are REALLY great. It's not the usual hunt and click type of HOs, it has a lot of interaction such as you have to, say, locate a cork and then locate the bottle to put it on. This was the most fun of all the HOs games I have played so far. The HOs are not that difficult. However, I did use the HINT just to see how long it took to recharge - very fast.
The puzzles are easy as well. During the demo there weren't that many.
I don't recommend this game.

I was beginning to wonder what happened to the good games lol.
The graphics are wonderful and the storyline is that you are a music teacher searching for the lost children.
Voices are great, HOS are a challenge sometimes, which is great. Music...well I turn it off, sorry.
Puzzles are fun, but, the help information isn't worth the time they took to write it. For the most part one can figure them out with out the poor instructions.

Jewel Quest should just stay with match 3 games. The attempt to combine their match 3 with hog's is terrible. The repetition of each of the characters...well the review title says it all.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoyed playing the demo so I purchased the game. There seems to be more puzzles than HOG's. The puzzles are a challenge, but, not that hard to figure out - that is if you are into puzzles. The HOG's are a mix of locating the objects and putting objects back into their place. As far as the music goes, I generally turn it way down as after a while it becomes grating lol. What storyline is there is ok, at least the storyline doesn't take up most of the game as some seem to do.
I made it through the game and when playing the bonus chapter I had a bit of difficulty lighting the lamp in the cave with the torch - just couldn't get the torch in the right place.
I recommend this game!

If you are looking for a challening game then you need to purchase this one. The HOG's are challening as well as the puzzle's. In order to move to the next phase of the game you have to complete each step. Intro is great. I like that there are some voice activations with this game. Since the game is done in steps it is not that difficult to find your way around.
I recommend this game!

The intro is great. The game maybe like other aslyum type of HOG's, but, this one has the addition of the morphing objects which makes for an extra challenge. It is well worth the money to purchase it.

I really liked this game. Has the usual puzzles, but, what the HOG's are a bit different in that anywhere from 2-3 words are scrambled. Not to worry though, if you can't figure out what the word is as there hints within the game that will unscramble them for you.
The one feature that I think would have taken this game to the very top is to have actual voices for the dialog.
I recommend this game!
