I have to say out of all the game series I purchased and "I purchase many", this is my absolute favorite. It has a real Lord of the Rings vibe to it.... the graphics are excellent and the story is never disappointing .... The very second a new one is released I'm on it :-)
It has all of the requirements for a day of fun... it's has intelligent and logical puzzles and very few hidden object scenes which I honestly don't miss... The puzzles are not so difficult or convoluted that you end up skipping. Everything you do makes sense so the hint button gets a well deserved rest.
I honestly can't see why this game gets any negative reviews at all.
I recommend the entire Lost Land game series

I honestly don't get all the negative feedback. I found this game interesting and engaging from start to finish. I have to admit I rolled my eyes more then a few times with our over the top psychic sidekick but lets face it, you can't please all of the people all of the time.
I can't count how many times I've read how how a developer needs to change things up because they are they are just recycling the same old thing over and over again.
I think, try the demo out first before moving on to something else .... I enjoyed the game!

First the positives of the game ...
The puzzles were very well done and not at all run of the mill cookie cutter types. I continued on playing the game "minus the bonus chapter", for as long as I could because of that factor and that factor alone!.

Every other aspect of the game was either nonsensical or monotonous. The language alone was painful and completely moronic! They were all over the place with everything. Imagine Lord of the Rings talking like "Yo Mama go jump in the car while I pump the music", That's not how they talk in the game it's just to give a for instance. It was like someone dragging their nails down a chalk board!
And the graphics were the same as the language example I used "all over the place", but add to this ... flat and hard to make out what I was looking for or at...
I hit the hint button all through out the game for two reason, first being boredom and the second because I had no idea what I was supposed to do next.

I normally never review games but this company is inspiring!
I've purchased two games by Boolat and I was totally bummed to discover that two is all they made or that BF purchased!
I'm not going to jump into the deep end of reviewing this game because others have already.
I just want to say this is an easy puzzle & story rich game with beautiful graphics and excellent voice overs! I honestly love this game and will definitely play it (them) again.
I hope that Boolat come out with more games as I will keep searching with great hope!

I loved this game!
The graphics were excellent, the acting the best I've ever experienced with this type of game (HOG). The puzzles were easy so if your looking for a hair pulling time you may as well move on, also there are plenty of puzzles for those of us who choose this style of games based on that factor.
The story line make sense and keeps you engaged from start to finish.
I highly recommend this game as there is definitely something for everyone!

This is nothing but HO's the story line is excellent but I had to give up 3/4 through because I had no clue what to do next!

After crashing your car in the middle of nowhere, you stumble upon a mysterious town with a shady background. Solve a dark mystery!

If Phantasmat were the first ever HO game I played, it would have been the last as well!
This is the worst for non-stop hidden object puzzles. I've been playing this for fifteen minutes, and I've already been through six or seven. I can't play it anymore no matter how good the story line is supposed to be!

Most parts of this game "in my opinion" made no sense ... to the point that I rode the hint button and HARD!
Add to which the strategy guide is useless because I couldn't make out half of the clues ... why is that????
I paid for a CE game and for what!!!.
