I love the cursed house series and have played every one. Was excited by the light bulb idea. BUT when you make 4 of a kind sometimes you get a bomb, and sometimes you don't. It took the first 6 screens for get the rocket/lightening/bomb thing and you don't get it every time you make 5 in a row - just sometimes.
SO you get excited to make 5 and....nothing. tiles disappear. It makes the game empty. You shoudl always get a bomb or never but the sometimes just takes the fun out.
Lots of fancy challenges and things that click to other things to red squares that make things blow - It's like th game is playing itself while you want for your change to make a match.
A frustrating and boring entry in a great series.
I don't recommend this game.

This game started out strong, but wow it dragged. The story began with a little goblin ruining your stuff and he shows up every new room to do it again. It gets old quickly. The game degenerates into a l-o-n-g series of get this from one room and do that in another. A bore-fest by the middle as the story drops and it's just running round.
Pros: Beautiful graphics, nice motion. Items make logical sense. Start of story compelling, puzzles very easy, good map, HOS nicely done.
Cons: Story drops after 5 minutes, repetitive, too many items get carried around too long, dull.
I don't recommend this game.

This was one of those games I kept playing because I thought it would get better, and by the time I realized it wouldn't, I'd gone too far to turn back. A nonsensical jumping of legends and fairytales so easy my beagle could play it (but not understand it).
Pros - music is fine, each part of the story has its own segment so it is easy to start and stop. Voice overs aren't too bad.
Cons - This story makes no sense whatsoever. Fairy tale characters, people from literature, weird stereotypes and the rudest fairy godmother ever (she just looks angry all the time - like you interrupted her cigarette break). Its nutty (and no when you finally hear the end, it doesn't make any more sense than before.
Other cons - rooms change and add items, for example a shelf may not have a key, but then later it does. It's a pain because you have to keep going back. Puzzles are super easy and get very repetitive. The ending is protracted and misses several good chances to stop.
If you like to take standard fairy tale characters and story tropes, but them in blender with some magic beans and glass slippers - you'll like this. If you can tell the difference between what a heart and a diamond look likes - find a harder game.
I don't recommend this game.

The Game is a throwback to early Match 3's. It sort-of has a story, but is mostly 80 screens to clear. Very relaxing and easy going.
Pros: Bonuses are plentiful and nothing is too challenging or hard (also a con), cute set up about building altars to trap magic, music is rousing and cheerful.
Cons: The game sticks sometimes so the falling action makes it hard to plan next moves. Although it starts with a story, it really doesn't develop into much more than repetitive screen jumping. There are too many bonuses so the challenge is lost, and the game ends abruptly.
Overall, if you're looking for a game to move some tiles around while you watch for TV or wait for a bus - this one will do.
I recommend this game!

Graphics are very old school - cut outs and choppy - but that adds to the charm of this easy-going game.
Pros: Nice backgrounds, fun character changes and challenges, Bonus's are generous and have differing abilities.
Cons: Not much new after the middle of the game. Just a steady relaxing set of screens. Ending is cute but abrupt.
Overall - if you're looking for a game to play while you watch TV and relax, this is a winner. If you want challenge or up-to-date graphics look elsewhere.
I recommend this game!

The game attempts a story but its too blah and same-old, same-old.
Pros: Puzzles are hard if you like that challenge and the story attempt really tries to engage. The curve blocks do add a bit of strategy.
Cons: Color scheme is bland and visually unappealing, Puzzles are hard to see and really harder than they need to be. The amount of resources you need keep the screen going long after you're ready to finish that screen.
Slow and uninspiring. Was glad when it ended.
I don't recommend this game.

I wanted to like this game, but it was like slogging through a swamp. Eventually quit before the end because I wasn't having fun (games are for fun, right?) and I just didn't care any more.
Pros: The story line starts out great - mystery, knights, ghosts. There is a good balance of puzzles - Med to Hard - and puzzle types. The hint is very explicit (Go here, do this).
Cons: It's dark and hard to see. It has a sprawling map of rooms and no real intuitive layout. I had to use hint several times just to find out what was next. Some necessary components blend in their surrounds so well you can see them. The story starts out interesting but soon devolves into the same old thing with each ghost and it becomes hard to care what happens next.
People who like to really push the challenge lever on games and be tested may like this. I found it too much work for not enough fun.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a great introduction to builder match 3's where you earn points making matches and then build a garden for the queen. Simple and relaxing.
Pros: Easy to understand, smooth movement, some challenge because you have to match the right symbol and color of tile together. Good for kids.
Cons: Repetitive, and easy. mini-games are a breeze and only give you power-ups. You only get points for the set amount of times so there is no reward for creative play.
A nice game to play if you're waiting for a bus.

Loved the Hope Diamond game and this has many of the same great points, but the story gets lost in the many scenes, puzzles, interruptions.
Pros: Beautiful graphics, smooth game play, puzzles medium, voice-overs good, backgrounds varied and interesting.
Cons: Instructions on mini-games not very clear. There were a few I skipped because I didn't understand the game play or the game was just slow. Not all clues are intuitive. The game bounces from place to place which makes the story a bit dull/forgettable.
Fun game = good but not great.
I recommend this game!

Beautiful and brilliant entry in the Dark Parables Series. I love being the Fairy Tale Detective. This puts the spin on the story of Rapunzel and uses a lot of floral imagery that makes it deep and interesting.
Pros: Beautiful graphics/sound, Smooth intuitive game play, interesting story and characters, Games Medium-Med-Hard.
Cons: I don't like the "Put it together" HOS scenes (which really aren't HOS), The map tells you where you need to be, but doesn't take you there - the movement is a bit confusing (what looks like a left turn on the map is really a back button click). Minor flaws in a majorly fun game. A lot of the art in this was the same - so after a bit it started to bore. Variety of colors/artifacts would help.
I recommend this game!
