This game wasn't bad. The artwork and puzzles are good. The soundtrack is good. The problem is that the story is a collection of incohesive fragments that fails to resolve. I played through it twice to see if I missed something, but I didn't. The story is just lacks development.
Another game with fantasy landscapes and a ridiculous little monster. Not scary, not fun, not good artwork.
All of Big Fish games seem to have devolved to this level. It's as if they can't hire decent artists who can draw realistic landscapes and scenes anymore, and they can't get a good writers either. All of their games are childish and amateurish lately. I have to play old games in order to experience a good story and good artwork.
This game was too short and too easy. I finished it when I stayed up late one night. I just blew through it.
Further I think it's a little tasteless that they named the killer after a real serial killer. They called him "Roderick Alcala" after the real serial killer "Rodney Alcala." I think that lacks good taste and class.
What's going on, Big Fish. Have you run out of ideas? Where are the good games on a par with the Maze series? All I see on the main page anymore is kids puzzle games.
The artwork is great, but the game is frustrating. There is no fast travel, and the strategy guide is as frustrating as the game. The mini-games are difficult. I skipped most of them until I came to one I couldn't skip. At that point, I had to quit and uninstall the game. I don't recommend this game.
This game involves too much jumping from scene to scene. Mini games are not challenging. In one scene and American flag is shown backwards on the pole. And the story isn't particularly engaging either. It's the same old tired story of some guy who wants power and gets it from a stolen artifact. Yawn.
The strategy guide is useless because of the bad translation into English. Save your time and money for another game.
The story was mostly undeveloped and unfolded too quickly mostly because there wasn't much substance in the first place. The mini games were not challenging. The ending was anti-climatic. The graphics weren't all that great, and the jump scares were just annoying.
