Knew I wouldn't like this game within the first few seconds of the demo and did not purchase. Graphics on the menu look fine, but the actual levels look far too cartoonish. Game play was too easy, not much strategy involved, and just all around unenjoyable. Oh, and too much clicking to navigate through the menus/levels and too much dialogue. Miss the old TM games!

Game was challenging and fun....just like they should be. Took me several hours over the course of a few days to get all of the awards and beat developer time on each level. Was not a super easy, rushed game. No glitches, no weird mini-games, just perfect game play. Only complaint is the amount of dialogue at the beginning of each level, but that's pretty standard for TM games. Bravo to the developers of this game!! Make more like this, more frequently!! 😁

Could have been an excellent game, but it's impossible to get 3 stars on every level. I'm a long-time TM game lover. They are my fav genre, and I consider myself to be very good at them. However, I despise games that aren't realistic in getting all the available stars. This appears to be one such game. The strategy guide is not helpful at all. On some of them the numbers don't even coincide correctly with the map.
Very inconsistent also. One level has power ups, while the rest do not. Although there is an option to upgrade buildings, you'd be hard-pressed to do so unless it's an actual task you have to complete, which makes it pointless.
Perhaps do an update and this will be a great game. Until then, it's a waste of money/time. I so miss good quality TM games.

Have to admit that I almost uninstalled this game after about 10 minutes. Was livid that they changed everything I loved about Rescue Team. But, I persevered, and I'm glad I did! Once you work out the new game mechanics and understand how to train and assign your workers, it becomes super fun and challenging (in a good way). This is a very well done, quality game!
I played as expert and one thing that initially threw me off regarding getting gold is that the entire level isn't timed, just certain tasks. So if you find a place in the level where no current tasks are timed, just drag that out long enough to replenish your resources. You can usually do this by not building your watchtowers and such until you feel you have enough resources to proceed. You can replay levels by clicking on the globe and selecting "Archive" in the top right corner. I believe that any levels that do not reflect 100% will not count towards gold.
One major positive is that you're not having to send workers to constantly collect resources at your production sites and the train (for the few levels that have them). The workers are actually assigned to the production sites and automatically move the resources to the tent. You do still have to pick up the occasional free-standing resources, air deliveries, and food from the little grills (can't remember what they're called), but overall this allows you to focus on other areas and it doesn't wear out your hand.
Although I did enjoy it immensely after my initial misgivings, I will say that I hope this doesn't replace the original format. Would love to have these as a sort of spin-off, especially if it increases game output, but definitely not as a replacement. I'll always love the traditional TM format.

I'm pretty tolerant when it comes to poor quality in TM games, because they're always so few and far between that I'm just grateful to get one. This, however, feels like someone's high school project from 2002!! It's so far below BFG standards that I'm not even sure why it was released on their platform....and a collector's edition to boot!
Super dated graphics and awkward, sluggish game play that just doesn't feel in any way professional or polished. I looooove TM games, but I was so frustrated with this after two levels that I couldn't force myself to play any longer. And, I have to agree with one of the other reviewers who said the workers look creepy....they totally do!
Unrefined Version of Rescue Team Series - But Not Horrible

This game is an unabashed knock-off of the Rescue Team (RT) series. While I didn't completely dislike it (I'll take anything seeing the recent shortage of good TM games), the graphics and game play weren't as refined as RT, and I found it to be a tad glitchy in places. Had they developed a different concept, I probably would have rated it higher, but if you're going to completely plagiarize a game, at least make it better!
I won't get into the game mechanics, as most TM fans reading this will already be familiar with the RT format. Just going to provide a few pointers:
- If you're like me and insist on getting 3 stars and achieving all awards, be prepared to play most levels MULTIPLE times. On a positive note, it makes the game last longer.
- The strategy guide is honestly not that bad, but I did not find it helpful for some levels, especially levels 10 and 27. After 10+ attempts on each, I eventually had to find a video walkthrough online to get 3 stars for those two.
- Don't get too crazy with your clicking. If you're not precise on some levels, it can (and probably will) glitch out on you. I had to force the game to close at least 3 times due to this problem, then once because a lady I rescued got stuck (running in place). Very frustrating when you're 7+ mins into a game.

Was hesitant to try this game due to the overall low ratings/reviews. Normally, my fellow fish are pretty accurate with TM game ratings, and I would steer clear of a game with such low ratings, but with the recent TM game drought, I was desperate. Glad I made the decision to try it, because I absolutely loved it!
Game play is focused on growing crops to produce items that are more valuable (i.e., apples -> juice -> lemonade). However, it's not one of those typical farming games...which I still play but am not crazy about. You have the obligatory path clearing, bridge building, etc., but again, focus is more on production. Music was pleasant for a change and storyline was cute, although I almost always skip past those. All of the awards worked and no glitches with any of the levels.
Only downsides are: - Massive amount of clicking to complete tasks. But, on a positive note it doesn't require the type of constant, fast clicking that some games have, so your hand doesn't start cramping! Could still use less clicks, though. - Bonuses are time-limited. You receive points for each level you complete that can be used to purchase bonuses, such as lower cost for buildings, increased production, etc., but they only last for 30 mins. :( - So far as I can tell, you don't receive any gold back when demolishing a building/field. - Strategy guide was pretty much worthless. Does not help you find puzzle pieces (sometimes I had to just click everywhere to find them), and there was one level (43, I think) where it LITERALLY tells you to "figure it out on your own"!!!! Think the game could have been a standard edition with such an awful guide. :/
Pointers: - Always click on the birds. They will sometimes give you a pink feather that you can trade for gold ($500 or $650 if your bonus is activated). These come in very handy, especially at the beginning of a level. - Don't be intimidated by the timed version. Rarely ever had trouble meeting 3 stars, even without bonuses.

Love these types of adventure games - and appreciate the early to mid 2000s gaming feel this one has - but felt more like a short beta test. Only took a little over an hour, collectively, to complete. With that said, it was of decent quality and was, thankfully, only a standard edition that I was able to purchase with a free game coupon.
The storyline had lots of potential, kind of reminiscent of a severely watered-down Nancy Drew plot where you have to solve what is wreaking havoc in the local village. Had it been fleshed out more, I think it could have been great!
Graphics were okay and on par with most other games available through BF. The background sounds were actually pretty good, and I found the bird sounds relaxing. There are no voiceovers, just text, which I prefer, but the text was very slow. I normally like to read it quickly and keep clicking to progress, but unfortunately, this dialogue holds you prisoner, as do the animations clips. Gameplay was okay except for the annoying back and forth and the fact that there just wasn't much to do and it was very, very simple!

Excellent game! We need more way like this. First off, I wouldn't classify it as a TM game. It's definitely a strategy game, as there are no timers, and that's one of the beautiful things about it. You can save and load the game at any point you like (there is even an autosave feature) and there is no rush to complete the tasks. You have time to figure things out. But, don't think it's a walk in the park. Some of those levels are very tricky and you really have to use your noggin - not just mindlessly click on things. Some of the later levels took me 1-2 hours to complete - and I enjoyed every minute of it! Don't be dissuaded by the fact that there are only 8 chapters, because they are very involved. It may take you until the 3rd level to really get a feel for it. Then it's on!
The closest thing I can compare this to is the Hero of the Kingdom series, which I also LOVE. There is a great storyline and you have to collect resources/bonuses, fight monsters, and complete tasks along the way. You also have to purchase different characters to do specific types of tasks (e.g., workers, soldiers, clerics, archers, etc.) and upgrade their weapons/tools to progress. And of course, there are potions - got to have the potions! ;)
This game is a major win. The fact that it was a standard edition sealed the deal. If BF released one of these every week/month, I would be elated.
My only complaints for this game were some of its mechanics, the first being the chest where you store your items/bonuses. It would have been nice if the chest was a clickable icon on the screen that is visible at all times while in the level, rather than you having to navigate back to it each time from wherever you are on the map. That was a bit tiresome. It would also be nice to have the ability to cancel a single action rather than having to cancel all actions. But honestly, these are just petty items that could be adjusted if they ever come out with a sequel.
Again, best game I've played in a while. Please give us more of this BF!!!!

First off, I have to admit I enjoyed the way this game played and with a few tweaks it could be an awesome series. I have no complaints on the mechanics. However, this game is just way too HARD to get 3 stars on every level - even on the normal difficulty.
Don't get me wrong, I like difficult games, and I like having to use strategy. Having to play the same levels multiple times to get 3 stars or gold just gives me more for my money. It just feels like there's a programming or QC problem with this game and that for some levels, it's just simply impossible to achieve 3 stars. I'm pretty good at TM games - they're my fav genre - but I couldn't get 3 stars on levels 5, 14, 15, 33, and 36. Probably played each of those levels 15+ times with various strategies but no dice!
Also noticed that the Leveller award/achievement requires you to remove 1000 obstructions. As much as I've played, I'm only up to 534. You would have to play this game 3-4 times over just to get that one achievement. I get extremely annoyed when awards/achievements are not consistent and/or there is a glitch making them unobtainable.
If they would do a better job at QC'ing and beta testing (with real people) and then fine-tune their games accordingly, they could have a real fan favorite! Until then, I can only rate this as "OK."
