as with many ce's the bonus play is awesome which is why i play ce's. not sure why but the extra bonus plays top even the best regular games, as this one does. it's like that's when the creative juices flow the most. who knows but the flying islands take me back to something very myst and riven-ish.
love everything about this game and want to put in a vote for trophies and awards in some games now (like for finding objects quickly) as well as the bonuses item--same one object that's in all scenes throughout the game. nice extras. don't forget humor, love when i find that.
can't wait to see what gaming technologies are next mixed with these amazing creative minds. bravo. again.
I recommend this game!

there are a lot of unique qualities in this game i found and like, halfway thru trial. but i'm having display issues, cutting off edges of scenes, affecting navigation and flow that i'm not able to adjust. not sure what's going on because i don't typically have many and if so, i just make screen or display change. but love the imagery, quality of graphics and the direction you're going in...would like to see more exploring like this but without the tech issues so i can continue. going to see how far i can get without getting too hung up in expert mode with the display issues because i'm intrigued with story, graphics and unique ho tactics.
I recommend this game!

loved everything about this game. the engaging story and building of characters, games, interaction, hos. very nice mix and variety of all. superb graphics, nice overall flow. I moved right through while it was both relaxing and challenging. The only thing I wished I had was the CE version because I wanted more..but then, I found the last chapter, nice. So all I can really say is more, I want more of this...with even better story lines, characters and engaging interaction and mini games. liked the alternative to the hos, played a few because it was interesting and new but preferred the hos because they were so well done. More, please.
I recommend this game!

i don't submit reviews anymore because frankly, i can't keep up. i don't have the time to play the 3 or 4 games i have going at any one time, nevermind have the time to submit reviews on all of them. let me just say for all of them---i love each and every game i purchase and all exceed my expectations. they just keep getting better and especially within the last 3 months or so. i've been a gamer for a while and find escaping into and exploring these fantasy worlds very relaxing.
i don't know if it's because i have a HD display or not but the graphics are breathtaking. i think part of the appeal of being a gamer in the ps3 world is HD graphics that sweep you away. while i love that, there are not enough science fiction, beautiful fantasy worlds for me. many are great and provide extreme challenges for serious gamers which serve a purpose but many or i should say most are shooter or violence-based that ruins it for me. i'm not gaming online to pretend i'm in an army...i use it to relax and escape. just wanted to put in one last comment to the developers and artists creating games here that just keep getting better. i want to tell you to stop in a way because it's costing me a fortune :_), but i wont because i really enjoy them. haven't seen a dark, insane asylum type in a while and wouldn't download them anyway. so i will just say to keep it up because i look forward to what's in your head and where you take me the next time. just wish i had more time for them. ps...while i'm enjoying the games with no hos, i find myself looking forward to them as they get scarce so i think if you're going to eliminate them, you should replace that challenge with something just as challenging or fun, whether within exploring the landscapes or mini-games on the side. thanks again for your gorgeous art, creative minds and helping me relax.
I recommend this game!

brilliant. and beautiful.
love the added action and interaction, quality of graphics is completely captivating. her voice may get a bit annoying so may have to turn that off after i purchase which is coming fast because this trial is flying by so fast. that's one way i can tell if i want to buy. along with the uniqueness of story, puzzles and hos scenes. great job. yes, more than two words but worth the review and the money.

i fell in love with this game after the first 10mins. sci-fi meets tomb raiders meets other ps3 games that it reminds you of. i almost want to say shooter-type environments without the shooting. great move to sci-fi recently (but can no longer find severe incident). don't get me wrong, the enchanted forest type games are brilliant but i like interactive, challenging puzzles like controlling light beams and others that make you think and work.
I recommend this game!

or two, ha ha.
I agree with all good reviews, this is getting close to nailing it. i'm about halfway through and totally captured in the scenery. nice easy flow. wide range of puzzles. more feature requests than complaint but with a bit more interaction and puzzle themes tied more closely to storyline, i think these games could turn into a new genre but that might mean no hos. some of the imagery, landscapes, graphics are so gorgeous and n House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster Collector's Edition too, i'd love to see them on the big screen via ps3 or others.

beautiful imagery and graphics, surprises, cut scenes. variety of lands to explore (only got to tibet in trial), nice hos. going back to find objects is not as annoying because the transitions are quick and smooth---this really makes a difference. the only thing i'm looking forward to if i decide to buy is interesting puzzles to go with the rest of the interesting story. best scene so far was the spiral staircase action at the gear gates. very tempting.
I recommend this game!

I play too many of these to buy the full versions and i remember just a few that really stand out. As has happened before with other games, I played the trial and just downloaded it again without remembering that I already played it.
As soon as I started playing, I remembered it ..so I had an idea of what I needed to do to get to the next step because the first time I don't think I made it to the cable car. This time I did and the next level or land. This game is SO much fun and SO creative, getting farther this time, I just have to have buy the full version.
What typically does it for me is: good graphics, big but well-placed, challenging ho scenes (too small is annoying), challenging puzzles but not so much that it holds you up, some interaction and cut scenes but not too much and as long as I'm moving along at a good pace, I'm good. After all that, if the storyline is interesting, unique and original scenes and objects, I'll have to buy it. But it's not easy deciding which ones to buy..there are so many. Another feature that will prompt me to buy is a long game with a map with many different islands or lands and I love any kind of travel mechanism to get to different lands, elevators, ships, cable cars etc. keep up great work!
I recommend this game!

it wins on originality, and variety of puzzles and i have to say i love the music--very relaxing, like an old movie.
Nothing spectacular in terms of graphics or challenge, (the games were not that challenging but every one of them was unique. Maybe only 1 or 2 HO scenes, the rest were different types of brain teasers, match 3's and fun puzzles. While nothing extraordinary on the graphics, it was still very original and I was totally immersed in the fantasy.
For some reason, it reminded me of the first time reading alice in wonderland...that's a HUGE complement. It got me and never let go. I like games that I can keep on moving along and kept moving through this one. Would love a sequel to this, a bit more sophisticated, more challenging puzzles and better graphics. That could be number 1 for a long time. thanks...can't remember developer.
