The game is a good length, bonus game falls short though. Excellent game with so much to do, places to go and very creative. The hops are somewhat interactive. You can see how much these designers put into this game, I really enjoyed all the different spells. One piece of advice, play this game start to finish, if you stray for a couple days and come back you'll forget the spells lol. All the games in this series are excellent, bonus game was fun too, but way too short so it's your call.
Wow, this game took me back when a daydreamed for better games. I stuck it out through the whole trial but it took effort. I wanted to see why they made it? The adventure had promise but all the nightmare boring hops and old school game play was annoying and a yawn. So no, I definitely do not recommend unless you're out of games and you have a free game voucher and have nothing else to do.
There were things I loved about it and things I didn't like about it. First I love the collectable crowns throughout the game and in the end if you miss them you can go back and find them, always love that. After you find all the crowns, you get a long hops game which I wasn't too happy about, I would have preferred Mahjong or another chapter, or it would have been nice if the hops weren't just the click and find kind and more interactive like a board game or puzzle, serious lack of creativity. There was also a puzzle to do :-) The story was good, adventure was fun, I liked the characters. I laughed when the dwarf crashed and the old lady just sits there with the same face like nothing happened so I clicked on her and it says "she's not amused in the least" thought that was funny. I wasn't a big fan of the claw hand, a bit hokey for me, could have done without that. I did like the bear. The bonus game was a completely different story, maybe a set up to their next release? It was fun though and a decent length and adventure.
The game seemed short to me. The bonus game was not worth the CE price tag so I would recommend waiting for the SE. Story started out interesting, I kept waiting for some kind of interaction with the raccoon, but nothing, don't even know why they had it in there. Jeez. Hops were nothing special, barely interactive, boring and too many of them. Puzzles were lame, nothing interesting or creative. Collect globes throughout the game, nothing special. I can't recommend the CE version, I expect more.
Doesn't Mystery Trackers have the agent with that cute dog? Anyhow, it's a great game the only beef I have is that is was too short. The puzzles are excellent and fun like board games, not too hard and not too easy, perfect for fun with a bit of thinking involved :-) They new ones that were very creative. Thank you! The hops were not so fun, partially interactive, I like the more interactive ones where you need to find an item to use on another item to get the next item and so forth, more like a game. The clarity was great in some parts and a bit gritty and dark in others. The bonus game was fun and had some cute parts in it. Too short again but great bonus game. I loved this game, just wish it was longer.
I did not have fun with this most recent game, gameplay was not very smooth, it was hard to back up without accidentally grabbing something in your inventory, really annoying. Plot same old story, tired of all the yapping throughout the game, I'm so glad I got this with my free game voucher. So not worth the money in my opinion.
I've seen this story and game many times before. It was actually kind of boring. I managed to finish it, the bonus game was ok. Everything about the game was just ok. It's dated and not up to par with what to expect from a CE game these days. Definitely wait and get the SE.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild Collector's Edition
Call on the animal spirits to help find your sister.
Not a long game, the hops are interactive which I like rather than just the clicking on item after item = boring. Puzzles were ok, not enough of them. Adventure started out great then became ok. Nothing too exciting. What I did notice is the designer spent special attention to the characters clothing. The clothing was great, especially the good brother shaman at the end, I loved his clothing and hair, good job on the details! No collectables, which I do like in CE's but not a super big deal to me. Overall it's better than most but not 5 stars. It's up to you, try first, I'd recommend the SE over the CE, the bonus game was ok.
I recommend this game!

Great game, read reviews early and wish I hadn't. This was a unique game with unique puzzles and gameplay. I loved the interactive hops, made them more like puzzles which made me happy. I hate the clickity click hops made for mindless dummies. Lots of places to go and a good map. It was none stop adventure, definitely would recommend CE, hopefully the bonus game was as good as the main game.
Excellent adventure game with great graphics, smooth gameplay and not a bunch of hops around every corner! It's not as fancy as most games but it's a fun adventure game with lots of locations. Con - No map. It would have been perfect if it had a map to jump around. This type of game would be great as a CE if it had more creative puzzles and interactive, and of course a bonus game. Length of gameplay is great as well.
