BEAUTIFUL GRAPHICS, DULL STORYLINE...EXCITING?

The most exciting part of this game is the beauty of Taleworld, a world created entirely by human imagination. The storyline is the same Nevertales scenario with different characters...Grandma falls ill, grandson discovers a well-kept family secret (via letter, naturally) and gets whisked to Taleworld where he meets an evil, cloaked and masked man, surrounded by black mist, boy saves both worlds, everyone lives happily ever after, The End...sound familiar? Where's the earth-shattering excitement in that? I just don't get the desperate desire to hunt down addresses so one early bird can get the first worm when clearly nobody's competing for this kind of excitement.
Gadget/Helper:
Granny's Family Heirloom Amulet is technically a gadget but it's only used to find hidden symbols in the room in the first scene, and then to find hidden caches in the final chapter. Because it's basically unobtrusive, I'll give this gadget a pass, but one has to wonder why MHG can't let go of the "gadget" feature altogether?

Morphing Objects/Collectibles (CE version only)
Each of the 28 Scenes, throughout the Main Game and Bonus Chapter, has a Morphing Object and Collectible Mask/MHG Swirl Symbol. There is also a Morphing Object in all of the Hidden Object Scenes, and surprisingly, they have done a great job blending the collectibles and morphs into the scenery, a few of which were quite challenging to spot! Any missed Hidden Object Scene Morphs can be picked up by playing replaying the HO's in the extra's menu, which also allows you to better your star or accuracy score. After finding all the Collectibles, there is a Jigsaw Puzzle available as well as a tab that allows you to return to each Location to find a hidden object.

There are 4 Hidden Object Scene Morphs, 7 Scene Morphing Objects, and 7 Collectible Masks remaining. After completing the CE Collectibles you can access a Jigsaw Puzzle, and after completing this Bonus Chapter you can access a Treasure Hunt to search for 16 Souvenirs.

Since Big Fish decided to give us back to back, nearly identical Match 3 games by the same developer, who btw continues to spew out Match 3 games where only the names have been changed, I may as well just repeat my review, right? The Enthralling Realms, The Chronicles of, The Legend of Eratus, and today's game, all have one thing in common...everything! The only thing that changes is the Title, and the storyline, not cool, it makes me howling mad, I am not Lycan this one bit!
Once again, this is a Swap type of Match 3 game, where you swap tiles to make matches of at least 3 identical elements, this time, howl-ever, the tiles are unappealing and cartoonish-looking. The tile selections don't seem very story-related either, and they didn't do their homework because everyone knows that Lycans or werewolves can only be killed by Silver bullets yet they chose Gold bullets as one of the tiles?? You must make matches over all of the Gold Cells, and make the required number of matches of each Element shown at the top of the screen. Elements inside of Bubbles, Morph (I think they appear when you make large matches, but I'm not positive) which allows you to pop the bubble when the desired element appears inside the bubble.
There are the usual Obstructions of Chained or Double Chained Tiles that require one or two matches of whichever element is chained, and those infamous pesky Spiders (which has nothing to do with murder mysteries, werewolves, or missing people?) have returned to spin Webs over random tiles if they aren't removed by making matches under them. The webs can be removed by making matches with the tiles covered in webs. Some levels require you to drop items off the board by making matches under them as well.
Large Matches of 4 or more tile, fills the Mana Meter, the larger the match, the faster the Mana Meter fills. Filling the Mana Meter charges the Power-ups, and any of the Power-ups can be chosen, but the Mana Meter must refill before using another Power-up.
TOOLS (power-ups):
*Axe: clears a 3 x 3 area of tiles and/or chains.
*Flashlight: destroys all ties of the chose tile.
*Taser destroys an entire horizontal line including chains.
*Stun Gun: destroys an entire vertical line including chains.
*Dynamite: destroys a large group of tiles and/or chains.
*Magnifying Glass: destroys a single tile of choice.

I was more impressed with yesterday's Match 3 game by this same developer, probably because I like stories about Dragons. I do enjoy solving mysteries, but this didn't actually involve solving anything, and the plot is very predictable. I disliked the characters, I hated the repetitive music, the tiles were about as unappealing as tile graphics get. As I stated yesterday, I purchased 3 of their Match 3 games and realized they have the same features, down to the same board layouts and I don't approve of developers who spew out one identical game after the next hoping to "catch" an unsuspecting player who hasn't yet caught onto their tactics!
I don't recommend this game.
Help Aurora and Eratus in their fight to overthrow a tyrant and restore peace to the land in this match 3 adventure!

The Match 3 games by this developer are really good...at first. The problem is, they offer a new series, The Enthralling Realms, The Chronicles of, and now The Legend of Eratus, but they are all the same game with the same features. The only thing that changed, besides the Title, is the board layouts which floored me because they never change those! They also reverted on the difficulty feature taking it back to an Untimed Mode only, why?
This is a Swap type of Match 3 game, where you swap tiles to make matches of at least 3 identical elements. You must make matches over all of the Gold Cells, twice on Red Cells, and make the required number of matches of each Element shown at the right side of the screen. Elements inside of Bubbles, Morph (I think they appear when you make large matches, but I'm not positive) which allows you to pop the bubble when the desired element appears inside the bubble.

The Stars you collect on some levels allow you to progress the story about Arroura and her Dragon battling against the evil Queen who is using dragons to destroy villages, including her own. Each chapter has 4 story progressions, and each story helps to rebuild the Village. There are 5 Chapters total, and 20 Story Upgrades available, and you are required to complete all 4 restoration upgrades to unlock the next Chapter.
I'm not saying this is a horrible Match 3 game, all of the Match 3 games by this developer are excellent, HOWEVER, they are all the same with the same features. The obstacles are the same obstacles in every Match 3 series game, the game mechanics are the same, even the power-ups are the same, they just give them different names from game to game. Therefore, I have already played this game several times under different titles with a slightly different plot, and for that reason, I can't give the game 5-Stars as a reward for repetitiveness! But IF you haven't played other games by this developer, I think you'll enjoy it :)

This was a Game Manager "Recommended" game so I downloaded it but wasn't expecting anything epic, just something to pass a few hours of boredom due to the Covid-19 shut-downs. Unfortunately, there's only one category that actually worked!
As fellow reviewer, whatever0062 stated, none of the Categories show up when you select the "drop-down" tab menu, so you just get an in-game error message in large red letters that says, "No Category Has Been Selected" The only Word Search that doesn't require selecting a Category is the Kids Corner Mode which has a List of Words with an associated Animated gif on 9x9 Grids. Those word searches are super easy (which is why it's for kids) and not much fun for adults.
Even though I wasn't able to play the entire game, I was able to gather information about the available features:
*Kids Corner: Easier, Larger 9x9 Grids with animations.
*Competitor's Alley: Compete against players across the globe. (Marathon Mode~Timed Mode~Mystery Mode)
*Puzzle Fun: No Timer, no Scoring, any Category, any size.
*Creativity Center: download word searches created by other players, or create and share your own word search.

In the Competitor's Alley, you can play in a Marathon Mode which is a multi-level word search requiring you to find all words within the allotted time to progress to the next level. You can also play in a Timed Mode by choosing from several categories (if it lets you!) There are 8 categories, Animals~Art & Leisure~Science & Nature~Plants, Fruits & Veggies~People & Places~General Topics~My Favorites~My Creations. In the Mystery Mode, you aren't told what the category is or shown a list the words in advance, the listed words don't appear on the list until you actually find them.
In the Puzzle Fun Mode, you can choose the size Grid you want. The 12 x 12 grid contains 14-20 words, the 16 x 16 grid contains 18-28 words, and the 21 x 21 grid contains 35-48 words.
Seems like this is a hit or miss game according to the reviewers so I highly recommend downloading the demo first. Go straight to Competitor's Alley Mode to see if any of the categories show up when you click on a topic for the drop-down menu! Because mine didn't, and because other reviewers had the same issue, it's a definite NO from me!
I don't recommend this game.
Solve colorful new nonograms puzzles and help the robot catch the Easter Bunny!

Rainbow Mosaics has raised the bar once again with a delightful Easter-themed Mosaic filled with Easter Bunnies, Chickens, Easter Eggs and Baskets, in beautiful, high-contrast colors. Rainbow Mosaic puzzles are always logic-based and always challenging, and I love the Tetris style mini-game that reveals the hidden (?) number!
My only complaint is that I've never been a fan of "Helper" the Robot mascot, that was recently introduced into the series. It seems lazy on the developer's part, like a crutch, a gimmick that can be worked into any story or theme without a whole lot of thought process...Helper finds love on Valentine's Day, Helper searches for the meaning of Christmas, Helper wants to catch the Easter Bunny...he doesn't even have a real name, he's a Robot that helps so they called him Helper. Do people really want an Easter Robot themed game? Their recent "detective-themed" Mosaic didn't include Helper the helper and that story was really interesting!

There are 130 Mosaic Levels with 14 Tile Styles ranging from beveled edges to hammered-steel, my favorite has always been the Lego-style tile. You can play in a Normal Mode which crosses off numbers one by one, or an Expert Mode which only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed. There are 10 Achievements to earn and all 130 levels are available in the Freeplay section once played in the main game.
As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase Street Decorations or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. The Dog power-up opens a random right square, the Lightning power-up opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, and the Lamp power-up opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. Each power-up can be upgraded twice to cover a larger area on the grid.

I'm not really surprised by the lackluster images chosen for Ice Age because all of their "1001 Jigsaw Games" are always chock-full of ugly, uninteresting, staged pictures of people, places, and things, but these images have sunk to an all-time low! If any of the images offered in this computer version was a real, physical retail boxed puzzle, sitting on a shelf in the puzzle aisle, it would still be sitting there 20 years later, until some kind employee decided to show it some mercy and throw it in the recycle bin! Even if they put a huge sign on it that said "Free To A Good Home" it would be declined by even the most desperate puzzle geeks.
You know the drill, nothing ever changes (& never will). There are Achievement Trophies to earn and a Top Scores leaderboard. There are no options to access any of those features to find out what achievements you are striving to achieve. You can save your puzzle progress but you can't save the completed puzzle image nor can you download the image as a screensaver or wallpaper, but then again, who wants wallpapers of ugly pictures?
There is a box to store extra pieces, but there are no options to categorize, label or sort these stored pieces, nor is there an option to fetch or retrieve certain pieces because you can't sort and label these stored pieces. The current sort option simply scrambles the pieces to the correct area, such as the top, bottom, right, or left side which feels like you're cheating...that makes no sense? Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to sort them by the correct rotation, color variations (zebra stripes, blue sky, green grass) or shape of the puzzle piece? At least it gives you the option to choose the Border pieces separately, but there is no available option to sort the border pieces by shape or color.
There is an option to post a Pictured Image of the puzzle you are working on which also allows you to choose three different sizes of x1, x2 or x3. You can also opt to Ghost the Image on the Background (the puzzle is assembled on top of the ghosted image) It doesn't, however, give you the option to choose the Opaqueness of the Ghosted Image to make the image more or less visible, depending on how difficult you want the puzzle assembly to be. The "ghosted image isn't "ghosted" it's simply a large, stationary picture.
There is an available Magnifying Glass to enlarge sections, as well as a Hint feature in case you get stumped. You can easily become "stumped" because the puzzle connection tabs connecting two pieces together, never appear as an actual match (the tab on puzzle piece A looks nothing like the opening in puzzle piece B) most of the time the colors don't even appear to match up because they are using cheap software. You can also choose the Resolution, opt for a single Custom Cursor (a tiny cursor at that!) or change the color of the background to a pastel shade of Pink, Green, Blue or Gray. Even though they are pastels, these basic color options tend to be too dark with most of the puzzles, so being able to adjust the intensity of the background colors at the very least, makes sense, doesn't it? Here's a fun fact: Even the oldest monitors can EASILYdisplay 16,777,216,256 different colors, yet we are only given an option of Four of those 16,777,216,256 colors to choose from as the background color!
Any Puzzle offered can be modified with Size options, the Shape of the puzzle pieces, and whether or not you want the pieces to Rotate, but even then, it's not optimized to allow you to assemble a puzzle much bigger than 300 pieces. A 300 Piece Puzzle purchased off the shelf would be labeled for ages +5 five years old and up! There's an old jigsaw meme that says "I just completed a puzzle in one week and the box says 2-5 years"...great motto for Jigsaws by this developer?
Once you complete a Jigsaw Puzzle, you're done, the party's over, you get about 2 seconds to admire your work before the image disappears and the stats pop-up...probably for the best! Just walk away :(

Don't let the colorful graphics and cutesy tropical critters fool you, this is a challenging Match 3 game, it just takes a while to get there! I was impressed with the colorful graphics, I was impressed with the colorful fruit tiles (blueberries, peaches, raspberries, pineapples, and pears) I was impressed with The Larry Boosters, I was even impressed with the obstacles, especially the Bamboo Shoot Blocks. None of these things matter if the game mechanics are flawed and EVERYTHING else is ANNOYING...as one of my favorite reviewers stated in his review of this game, it's "Unbelievable"
This is a Limited Moves Match 3 game available in a Standard or Relaxed Mode which still allows you to lose the level according to another reviewer. This was the first turn-off because most people don't like Limited Moves Modes. You can earn up to 3-Stars per level, but you can't replay the level to try to earn a better star rating unless you quit the level before completing it, assuming you know you won't earn all 3 stars. The ability to replay levels, at will, is a personal "must-have" feature in my book!
Power-ups are thrown on the board when making large matches and they are color-specific, meaning they must be included in a match with their associated fruit color to detonate, with the exception of the Lemon Slice which can be dragged to any adjacent tile. The Pictorial explains that a Match 4 will reward you with a Fruit Specific Line Buster (horizontal or vertical) a Match 5 will give you a Multicolored Lemon Slice which removes all of one type of tile on the board that you choose (drag to adjacent tile) A Match T-Shape rewards you with a Mega Fruit Bomb that obliterates all tiles in an X formation, and an L-Shaped Match rewards you with a normal Bomb that destroys adjacent tiles. You can also Combine two Power-ups by dragging one to the other if they are located in an adjacent cell...but that would be "Unbelievable" perhaps even "Amazing" or "Incredible"
The Pictorial also explains "The Larry" Boosters you earn in a limited amount, as you progress, I'm assuming the supply can be replenished with the money or gems you earn? Larry can Collect a Single Tile of choice, and Larry can also eat an entire row or column's worth of fruit. I'm assuming "The Larry" has a few more surprises up his wing as you progress? Eventually, you can unlock and equip yourself with 3 Boosters prior to starting the level, including the famous "+5 Moves" that all Mobile App Match 3 games include...hint, hint.
The Pictorial does NOT explain most of the Obstacles, you'll have to figure those out by trial and error. The Earth Tiles were explained, but it's a pretty standard feature, to begin with, just make a match to remove the dirt cells, Bamboo Shoots require a couple of matches and so forth. By the time the level rolls around, that's plastered full of Alarm Clocks with a constantly changing number inside, the Pictorial explains absolutely nothing...as if they don't exist? By trial and error, I discovered that you have a specified number of moves to include each alarm clock in a match with their associated fruit (blue alarm clock=blueberry or red alarm clock=raspberry)
I'm willing to overlook most of those annoying features, but these are the annoying features I refuse to overlook:
*The game mechanics are flawed, available matches become so scarce in some levels that they are constantly having to reshuffle. This happened 8 times during level 18 alone!) When a game is based on Limited Moves ONLY, the game has to be programmed to generate matchable tiles! On one level the goal was to drop fruity-cocktails off a board that was divided into two sections, a top & bottom. I was able to drop the drinks from the top section to the bottom half but ran out of available matches on the bottom section! There were available matches on the top section still, but making matches on the top half did nothing to change the fact that I needed to make matches under the drinks on the bottom half! I was forced to use "The Larry" booster because there was no other options available to complete the level goal! SERIOUSLY?
*Large Match Bonuses are a hit or miss feature and oftentimes, you don't receive a bonus on the board...especially when making T or L-shaped matches!
*You cannot make fast, consecutive matches, you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before making another match. This is particularly annoying when the game constantly gets interrupted by those annoying words of encouragement ~Unbelievable~Amazing~Nice~Fantastic~
*After completing the super-short levels, you have to wait for eons while watching a cartoon...First, 2 palm trees appear, followed by a hammock, followed by Timone the warthog & friends lounging on a hammock, followed by a rocking hammock and a grin or two, followed by the score window, followed by a ridiculous dancing panda in his Hawaiian underwear, followed by a pop-up "buy more panda underwear", followed by a pop-up "here's a bag of gems" followed by another pop-up congratulating you on leveling up. None of this can be skipped or fast-forwarded...you're on for the ride!
The bottom line is, this could be a decent Match 3 game but because they don't offer any Choices (you can't even choose a Custom Cursor, seriously, a game with eye-popping colors and highly animated graphics, that relies on a system cursor?) When I play a Match 3 game, I expect it to move along, not abruptly stop me in my tracks with every move I make. I expect to be able to make fast, back to back consecutive matches. I expect to be able to replay levels if I don't receive all 3 available stars. I expect newly added features & obstacles to be explained, particularly when they are uncommon features. I expect to have more than one Match 3 option, which includes a Limited Time option, not just a Limited Moves option... and if I'm forced to play only in a Limited Moves Mode, I expect the game to be programmed to give you actual matchable tiles!
Lastly, the whole jungle-theme is adorable, the Panda, though annoying and kind of creepy at times, is still thematic and works...but a Pink Gym for Panda? No...just NO-Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh, you're gonna hear me roar!
I don't recommend this game.
Get ready for a wild adventure across ancient Egypt full of ancient relics and mysterious artifacts.

I don't understand why BF keeps offering these incredibly boring TM games from the same developer who's constantly offering the same games over and over with nothing more than a different title. Even though they keep changing the title, they are all still the same...still boring. Are these guys so out of touch with what players actually like, or do they just not care? This game is so tedious and so boring that I couldn't finish the demo, it felt like a dreadful chore that I just wanted to get done so I could enjoy life again! That's pretty bad, folks :(
There are 60 Main Levels, kudos to anyone able to complete them! The CE version claims to have Extra CE levels but they can't be accessed until the main game is completed, which tells me they're hiding its worthiness because it isn't. This feature can be found on the level Map on the top right, as a purple swirl icon. There are 22 Trophy Achievements as well.
You can earn up to 3-Stars per level but I didn't find a Game Difficulty Mode setting (not that you'll need one) The tasks are boring and all involve sending a little robot to do the dirty work...until you build huts for the locals only to enslave them in the crystal mines...REALLY???
The Collector's Edition version has a mysterious number of Bonus Levels, 6 Music Soundtracks, 17 Concept Art Pictures, and a Built-In Strategy Guide...hardly worthy of the extra price, but then again, this version isn't exactly a lotta bang 4 UR buck either.
I don't recommend this game.
Join the Park Rangers at TWO National Parks, find hidden objects, complete challenging puzzles and spot 100’s of animals!

Vacation Adventures games are so well-loved by fans of all ages that it's become somewhat of a "cult classic" It's one of the few games that still takes me to my gaming Happy Place, a game that always puts a smile on my face and gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling. Vacation Adventures is a trip I look forward to every year, it says Spring has finally arrived and it's time to tag along with the Park Rangers at Pinecreek Hills National Park! (tell me you don't smile when a new VA game releases?)
You can play in a Casual Mode (untimed-faster hint recharge) a Challenge Mode (timed-normal hint recharge) or Extreme (timed-no available hints-all wildlife & recyclables must be found) There are 20 Achievements to earn for completing various tasks such as finding Wildlife, buying souvenirs, or finishing a mini-game quickly. You can purchase 16 Park Souvenir's which are stored in a Display Case tab.
There are seek and find puzzles in scenes all around the park, and even scenes where you find multiples of similar or related objects. Each scene has several wildlife animals to find that are shown as silhouettes in a box to the left of the word search bar and when all the animals have been spotted, the box will close. There is a Wildlife Notebook that allows you to see illustrations of all the wildlife you have found. You will also Recycle cans, bottles, and paper found in each scene, and when all recyclables have been found, the recycle Can icon will be displayed as full. Some Scenes have a Camera Icon that allows you to take a photo for the photo album so don't forget to keep an eye out for those Photo Ops.
You will earn an Eagle Eye achievement if you don't use either the Hint or Mega Hint feature. The Magnifying Glass will show you a hint of one item and the Mega hint will show you the location of every item left to find. You'll earn a Bronze Star for completing the Search, a Silver Star if you find all Wildlife OR all Recyclable Items, and a Gold Star if you find all Wildlife AND all Recyclable items. Words listed in Blue require an interaction of some type, and words in Red are hidden inside or behind things, requiring you to click on an item to Open it or Solve it, which will reveal the hidden item. Many of the scenes have a Zoom Zone (indicated by sparkling stars) that have hidden items and sometimes include Recyclables or Wildlife. Levels can be replayed at any time to better your score or pick up missing recyclable items or wildlife. and the items to find are different each time you replay it.
After each Search Scene, you'll play a variety of Mini Games such as Placing Map Shapes, Spot The Difference, Word Search, or several different types of Jigsaw Puzzles (Rotate Squares, Swap Tile Sections, Flipsaw's, etc) The CE version includes a ton of replayable mini-games!

I wasn't a fan of "Harvest" because it was a Match 2 Cards type of solitaire, but I LOVED the Faerie concept of releasing Faeries and finding and hatching Dragon Eggs of various worth (common or rare) "Remastered" brought me the best of both, a Higher/Lower type of Solitaire with all the Faeries and Dragons a fantasy fan could ask for. The only complaint I have is that the levels are fairly short and easy to complete on the first attempt...but certainly not a deal-breaker.
Like it's predecessor, right from the get-go, it has some really cool features and tutorials, starting with a clever Random Name Tab and a satirical caution notification against the forces of Dark Magic. You can even change the color of the card suits and enable/disable the Power-ups. There are 30 Achievements to earn, a Quickplay option that allows you to replay the Adventure levels (the main game) a Challenge option that gives you extra levels with super-hard hands, and a Faerie Land option that lets you earn "Pure" (Faerie Currency) which is used to buy Power-ups, or replay levels when you don't remove all cards. (optional). You can also replay the Story's Cutscenes in the Theater, and there is a Statistics Tab as well.
Some levels have colorful Hidden Mysterious Eggs that you'll have to wait patiently for them to hatch before discovering what you've just become the proud parent of. Once discovered, you must "Activate" the egg and you'll be notified when the egg is ready to hatch, which is a feature that really piqued my interest. Each egg varies, some are common and some are rare, pretty cool isn't it? You will also find various resources such as stone, wood, and magic resources required to Evolve and take care of your pets. As you play Solitaire levels the Energy you earn is used to release a new Faerie at the end of the Solitaire rounds, and she usually has a bit of an attitude...I love attitude!
