Completed Game approximately 6.5 hours
(including CE Bonus Chapter & all mini-games)\
It seems I'm in the minority on my opinion of the worthiness of this latest edition of Redemption Cemetery, but on the other hand, I did complete the entire game. Is Dead Park an improvement from the last several Series Games by Amax? The answer is a resounding, YES! The graphics are really good but dark and hazy, and they chose a very interesting Location, a creepy Amusement Park with paranormal activity, however, that's where the YES's end, and here's why.
~The main character isn't appealing, he looks like a creep, not creepy. He lured me to the park under false pretenses and I have no desire to help redeem him. His name is Cashier, the most interesting thing about him, hmm...
~Cashier hands me a Gadget, a Black Ball to deliver him and everyone else from evil, the same ball that he drew originally. Cashier spent years searching for the chosen one who would follow in his footsteps to draw the black ball. Did I miss something? Where did this black ball come from? Who holds the Black Ball Lotto? How does the black ball "choose" someone, it just seems that Cashier the Creep did the choosing and tried to find someone to pass the black ball buck onto.
~They crammed nearly a hundred mini-games and HOP's into the main chapter and bonus chapter, yet there are less than two dozen different locations. What that boils down to is a lot of back-and-forthing, a lot of repeated HOP scenes, and not a lot of variation. It becomes painstakingly boring without a change of scenery, the icing on the cake is finally dredging through an agonizing 4 very long chapters of the same exact repeated scenarios, only to discover the CE version Bonus Chapter takes place over the SAME EXACT LOCATIONS (8) as the Main Game!
~Yes, the location is awesome, but in the end, it's the same "Save 3 Souls" Redemption scenario, it's the same every character looks exactly the same as every other Amax series, it's the same black mist evil entity in every Amax series, it's the same average 3.0 average rating as almost every other Redemption Cemetery game. It looks creepy, but in this case, looks are definitely deceiving!
There are only 11 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter, however, there are 15 smaller Zoom Zone Hidden Object Scenes to balance it out a tad more. The Scenes are all rather dark and the items themselves are very small. Most of the main HOP's are Interactive List Finds, but there are also Multiple's of the same Object Finds, Matching Pair Finds, Fragment Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Pictured Item Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Finding & Replacing Item Finds, and Swatches Finds. Amax did a fantastic job of blending the items into the scenery or having unique interactions, to make some of the HOP's a bit more challenging. My only complaint with the HOP's is that they Repeat nearly all of the scene locations at least once, sometimes even thrice which, in my opinion, is boring and seems a bit lazy on the devs part.
There are 36 Mini-Games +41 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I have to admit, Amax does a pretty decent job with "motif" cemetery/death/grim reaper/skeleton related puzzles which range from super simplistic to maddening at times. There are puzzles every step of the way, puzzles within HO scenes, puzzles within +Plus Inventory Items, even puzzles within the puzzles themselves which often have 6-7 small jigsaws variations. My only complaint is that Amax never seems to offer a Reset button which would be very helpful in some of the complex or "moving one may affect others" types. I've included some of my favorite puzzles below:
☠~Slide the skull along paths & gears to open gates.
☠~Select parts to rotate and connect the correct letters & numbers according to the clue.
☠~Create a path of ladders by uncovering adjacent tiles, if you uncover a tile w/wire, the game will restart.
☠~Rotate 4 discs and swap mosaic sections to complete images according to clues.დ
☠~Swap 2 tiles to complete various images of ravens that match the star constellations shown. დდ
☠~Use directional arrows to navigate your boat, which will move in the desired direction until it hits an obstacle. (multi-layered puzzles within) დ
☠~Enter the correct code by solving math equations with symbols.
☠~Shoot marbles (skulls) of various colors to make a Match 3 to remove skulls before they reach the vortex. დდდ
The Collector's Edition Bonus Chapter is just an extension of the Main Chapter of Redeeming another Lost Soul at the Amusement Park. You receive a letter from Audrey, the wife of an amusement park employee named David Ross, asking you to prove her husband wasn't responsible for an explosion of a new attraction that caused his death. This is one of the longest Bonus Chapter's I've ever played in a HOPA game with a whopping 41 Mini-Games (some of these are simply multi-layered puzzles) but only 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will find the remaining 8 CE version Morphing Skulls which allows you to complete the restoration of the Park. All that is crammed into just 8 scenes (the same scenes as in the main game) which is a testament to just how much back-and-forthing there actually is.
The Collector's Edition version has 14 Wallpapers (all w/ characters slapped on them to take away from the awesome scenery) 7 Concept Art Pictures, 7 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 9 Movie Video Cutscenes, 11 Replayable Mini-Games, 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Achievements, 18 Morphing Skulls (which allows you to purchase 10 Dead Park Upgrades) 4 Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-in Strategy Guide.

Completed Demo only
(Casual Timed Mode)
I didn't progress very far in the demo because I had to keep replaying every level in order to earn all 3 stars simply because the game mechanics were so bogged down and slow that it was impossible on the first try. One time the level would run smooth, a few tasks later it would run super slow and/or wouldn't respond. I spoke with our resident Time Management guru who noticed the same thing, well at least now we know that it isn't an issue with our computers. Hopefully, they'll fix the issue because it seems to be a decent TM game.
You can play in a Relaxed, Casual or Hard Difficulty Mode over 50 Levels. There are 27 Achievements to earn and you can earn up to 3 Stars per level, and they can be re-played if need be. There are 20 Ancient Treasure Chests to find that contain various gifts for the Princess.
On the level map, you can select The Sciences Tab to purchase upgrades that help you progress. The Construction section has power-ups that make the workers run faster, remove obstacles faster or build buildings faster. Under the Art section, you can purchase upgrades to make murals, Bast Statues, and sculptures cheaper to construct. Under the Economy section, you can increase Taxes or income earned, the cost of workers cheaper, and increase the production of Quarries and Bakeries.
There are several options available when you select a land plot such as residential Huts, Houses, Villas, and Manors. Each type varies with Income amounts, Population, and even the impact it will have with the gods. I like the multiple options available, especially when your choices directly impact the outcome of the level
I will probably wait until Monday and use a PCC just in case the slow to respond issues persist.
.
I recommend this game!

I graciously gave 1001 Jigsaw Earth Chronicles 6 a whopping 3 Stars, along with some words of encouragement, only to discover that they completely ruined 1001 Jigsaw Earth Chronicles 7! I actually own the first 4 puzzle games in this series because I loved the theme of Earth Chronicles. Previously, the pictures were always Earthy with animals from all around the world, but for some odd reason, they took away most of those picture themes and threw in a bunch of uninteresting pictures of food, art, resorts, harmony?? and cities.
There are only 2 boxes with actual Earth Chronicles images, Landscapes, and a category now called Wildnature (all one word at that) Inside the Wildnature virtual box you'd expect to see pictures of Zebra's grazing on the Serengeti or a lonesome Cougar stalking its prey (hopefully not the poor Zebra) instead I get to see pictures of people playing with a very domesticated puppy, (the same puppy picture found in EVERY puzzle by this developer btw) a wild turkey...in a not-so-wild enclosure, and a whole slew of Zoo animals that have never seen "wildnature" a day in their lives!
As for the puzzles' features, I grow weary talking about the same things over and over because there are never any changes, but I remain optimistic that they will someday add a few features that matter. With just a few tweaks, these puzzles could be amazing!
If you haven't played any puzzle game by this developer, you'll probably think there's no need for change. But, if you have played even one jigsaw puzzle game by these devs, you'll find that the lack of customization options along with the same repetitive music gets old. I love jigsaws and I love the convenience of computerized jigsaws, in fact, there's hardly a day that goes by, that I don't work on a puzzle from another developer.
There are 7 Categories referred to as boxes, Wildnature, Cities, Art, Food, Harmony, Landscapes, and Resort, and each box contains 143 puzzles for a total of 1001 puzzle images. There are Achievement Trophies to earn and a Top Scores leaderboard but there is no option to access any of these features to know what achievements you are striving to achieve, which makes no sense.
There is a box to store extra pieces, but there are no options to categorize, label or sort these stored pieces, nor is there an option to fetch or retrieve certain pieces because you can't sort and label these stored pieces...that makes no sense.
There is an option to post a Picture Image of the puzzle you are working on which does allow you to choose three different sizes of x1, x2 or x3. You can also opt to Ghost the Image on the Background (the puzzle is assembled on top of the ghosted image) It doesn't, however, give you the option to choose the Opaqueness of the Ghosted Image to make the image more or less visible, depending on how difficult you want the puzzle assembly to be...that doesn't make sense.
There is an available Magnifying Glass to enlarge sections, as well as a Hint feature in case you get stumped. You can choose the Resolution, opt for a Custom Cursor or change the color of the background to pastel shades of Pink, Green, Blue or Gray. These basic color options tend to be somewhat too dark with many of the puzzles they offer, being able to adjust the intensity of the background colors at the very least, makes sense, doesn't it? Here's a fun fact: Most monitors can EASILYdisplay 16,777,216 256 different colors, yet we are only given an option of Four of those 16,777,216 256 colors to choose from as the background color...that totally makes no sense.
There is an Auto-sort feature that seems to have no rhyme or reason attached to it because it doesn't sort the pieces by Color, Puzzle Cut or Shape, or even the Direction Placement (correct rotation placement) instead it sorts the pieces to the general location of where the pieces will go (top~left, bottom~right) Most puzzle geeks like the ability to sort pieces by color (zebra stripes, blue sky, green grass) or group by puzzle shape, and sometimes both. It would also be nice to be able to quickly send those sorted pieces to the Box, after labeling them, of course. At least it gives you the option to choose the Border pieces separately, sorting to the exact areas the pieces will go, practically feels like you're cheating...which doesn't make sense.
Any Puzzle can be modified with Size options, the Puzzle Shape, and whether or not you want the pieces to Rotate, but even then, it's not optimized to allow you to assemble a puzzle much bigger than 300 pieces. A 300 Piece Puzzle purchased off the shelf would be labeled for ages +8-12...that ridiculously makes no sense.
Once you complete a Jigsaw Puzzle, you're done, the party's over. You get to see the finished image for a split second (I'm not exaggerating) and then the Stats Window pops up. The completed Jigsaws aren't displayed in a Gallery or any other section for that matter, to allow you to admire your work or the beauty of the image, so I suppose asking for an option to save the puzzle's image as a Screensaver or Wallpaper is too much to ask for...that makes sense, right?

I always love to see a new release of Worlds Greatest Cities/Places Mosaics because they always included new styles and features. I really liked the "shapes" version they used to include in their earlier games because not only were they unique, and creative, but challenging as well because you had to pay attention to the color and the shape as well (such as an Orange/Square)
Lately, I haven't enjoyed World's Greatest Cities Mosaic games because of the Mysterylands and Labyrinth style Mosaics. They are so generic and easily solved, yet it's easy to make a "visual" mistake because the filled-in cells in those modes, particularly the Mysterylands mode, covers the entire cell (the grid lines or squares blend together to give them the appearance of a real, moving picture of ponds with swimming turtles, etc.). This is just my personal preference, but as far as the Multi-colored Mosaics go, they are top-notched, logic-based griddlers, I'm just wishful thinking that they will include the shapes modes soon!
The main feature of this series is that they take you to the World's Greatest Cities and tell you some interesting facts about the city you are visiting. You can play in a Casual, Normal or Expert difficulty mode, or you can customize the difficulty mode by choosing if you want to play in a timed mode, if you want bonus points as a time bonus, whether you want numbers crossed off one by one or only when the entire row has been completed, and you can set the number of mistakes allowed from 1-5 and how long it takes for the hint feature to recharge from 30-120 seconds.
The Segment Length Checker feature has returned, (first offered on WGCM #7) but I actually like this feature, especially when solving a larger grid. You can turn it on or off at any time by clicking the round circle on the right-hand side, but when it's on, it shows you how many cells there are in both the column and the row of whichever cell your cursor is hovering over (with directional arrows so you won't get confused) Some reviewers love this feature, others hate it but if you don't want the intrusiveness, you can always turn it off.
There are 3 different types of Mosaics offered in this version:
*Traditional (multi-colored) which has different colors to switch between to help you solve the puzzle. In some of the puzzles, some sections may be locked, requiring you to complete a different color to unlock those sections.
*Mystery Lands which fills in each cell with 3 different kinds of pictures that when complete forms a beautiful scene, often with swimming fish, turtles, boats and even ants and bugs crawling around on the lawn.
*Labyrinth Game is similar to Mystery Lands, but after completing the puzzle, you guide a ball through the maze from point A to B by clicking on intersections of the maze. (which is kind of a waste of time, in my opinion, because the labyrinth isn't difficult to navigate)
You can choose between 10 different Tilesets by clicking on the arrow at the very bottom of the right-hand side (I believe it is located under the ? Hint icon) There haven't been any new features added since the introduction of the segment counter a few episodes back, so I'm hoping T1 Games will think of something incredible to shatter the "norm" that they are so famous for doing.

I'm a puzzle geek at heart, my favorite genre is and always has bee Jigsaw Puzzles, and I love a good Mosaic puzzle as long as they are solved logically rather than making you guess or use a bonus of some kind.
Lately, I haven't enjoyed World's Greatest Cities Mosaic games because of the Mysterylands mosaics, but mostly the Labyrinth style Mosaics because they are so basic and so easily solved, yet it's easy to make a "visual" mistake simply because the cells all blend together. This is just a personal preference, but as far as the Multi-colored Mosaics go, they are top-notched, logic-based griddlers.

The controversial Segment Length Checker feature has returned, (first offered on WGCM #7) but I actually like this feature, especially when solving a larger grid. As I stated earlier, the filled-in cells on some of the Mystery Lands and Labyrinth style mosaics are very similar and it can make it difficult at times to tell where one color left off and the other begins, and it's easy to make a mistake.

Completed Demo portion only
(demo length approximately 1 hour)
This is a Mosaic Griddler that has the same feature as Picross Fairytale: Legend of the Mermaid, by the same developer, where the cells have to be crossed off manually. Once the correct number of filled cells have been added, a Blue Gem will appear on the column and/or row.
There are no settings to choose that will automatically cross-off cells, even when both the column and row has been correctly filled in. The appearance of the Blue Gem doesn't necessarily mean that it has been correctly filled in, the only way to know for certain, is to use the Line Checking Booster. The number inside the Line Checking Booster indicates how many lines it will check, and it checks those completed lines and simply tells you how many are correct and how many mistakes have been made, not where the mistakes are. You are penalized for every mistake you make, and for using the Line Checker because you lose stars! This wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to guess at most of the puzzles because most of the levels cannot be solved purely by applying logic!
Technically, you can use a Hint... after you buy them that is...Oh, just one important notation here, by the time you get to the guesser griddlers you haven't earned enough coins to buy even a single hint, (that's right, you don't get a single lousy freebie) Coins are located behind the cells that are filled in, but that won't do you any good if you can't fill in a cell without guessing, and with no means of knowing if you guessed correctly, it becomes a vicious cycle! If you do happen to earn enough coins you can buy Hint packages, 1 hint =1000 coins, 5 hints = 4750, 10 hints = 9000, 25 hints = 20,000, and 50 hints = 35,000. Having to buy "Hint Packages," is a huge Red Flag which tells me there's going to be a whole lot of guessing going on.
You can earn up to 3 Stars per puzzle completed if you haven't made mistakes (or used a booster that shows a mistake) 2 Stars if you made 2 or more mistakes, and 1 Star if you made more than 4 mistakes. At least they allow you to replay the levels. It also claims you can earn over 15 rewards and Trophy Achievements (which I'm pretty sure that translates to 16 trophies)
Another annoying feature is that the rows or columns aren't highlighted until you actually click on the cell to fill it in or cross it off. When you click on a cell to fill it correctly, the column and row will flash each time in a cross formation. The graphics are far from being "Stunningly Illustrated" and the grids themselves are busy looking because of all the huge X's all over the board. The cells you fill in only consists of a single Blue hue, once completed, the image magically appears as a multi-colored image???!!!???

The Pixel Art pictures keep getting better and better with each new release. I visited T1 Games facebook page the other day, and if you think these pictures are amazing, wait till you see the pictures available for Pixel Art 9! Yes, BF is a little behind schedule because Pixel Art 4 left the station a while back along with Zen Trains numbers 5, 6, 7, and 8, so please Felix, keep 'em coming!
I didn't board the Pixel Art Zen Train at first because I had only played the demo portion and the numbers were very large, and the pictures seemed rather juvenile. I used a PCC that was about to expire to purchase the original Pixel Art game and I got hooked almost immediately as the puzzles got more intense. When I say intense, I just mean more intricate, because the puzzles don't actually require a lot of thought, but that's the beauty of it...it's totally Zen! I love the music selections, but I really love the different sounds of nature, with frogs and crickets chirping or the sounds of waves as they ebb and flow.
There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets. Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers. Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble (also numbered) on the right and simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well.
There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background, it really only allows you to change the colors in shades of grey or black. It would make more sense to have an entire color scale available on a paint by numbers game, wouldn't it?
Keep an open mind, it seems basic and rudimentary at first but you may just find yourself boarding the Pixel Art Zen train too, I'll save you a seat!

This is a really fun Solitaire Game, I actually love it! Confused? Are you wondering why I only gave it a Single Star after stating how great the game is? It's because unfortunately if you have purchased any themed solitaire game by this developer, you have already purchased this game. The only difference is that the Title changed as well as the Theme. Everything else is exactly the same, and by exactly the same, I mean right down to the level card layouts. I have purchased a few Solitaire games by this developer, most recently, Wizards Quest Solitaire. After downloading this game I immediately got a case of deja vu, same layouts, same options, same features, same achievements, different title, different story. Shame on you Magnussoft!
With that being said, IF you haven't purchased a game by this developer I totally recommend it because even though it's the same game, it's a really enjoyable game, I just don't need four of the same game!

You can set the resolution so the game fills the whole screen (instead of the black bars on each side) and there are 3 Cursors and 4 Card Fonts to choose from, including a true Roman Numeral card font. There are 18 Achievements to earn, most of which are available in 3 different Categories, and they are the same exact achievements as well, even the collectibles are the same such as Scrolls, which are uncovered during the levels.
You can purchase Jokers and Number Specific Wildcards in the shop with the golddollars you earn, and as you progress, helper cards become available that refill as you play a specific suit, such as Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades. After completing chapters and collecting the level resources, you will upgrade or build with the materials.

One of the biggest reasons I love Solitaire games by this developer is the fact that the piles of deck cards are so numerous, and there are so many cards to remove from the boar. Not only is it more challenging this way, but it gives you the opportunity to strategically make long combos, and by long, I mean that if done correctly, you can make combos of 20, 30 even 40 (yes it's possible on some levels, especially as you progress further)
I'm the kind of person who plays a solitaire level over and over until I remove every single card, even if I've earned all 3 Stars, I'll still replay the level until every single card has been removed. Once again, I had issues on some of the levels when I clicked on the deck pile where more than 1 card would flip over. It wasn't even noticeable unless one of the cards was playable, because the playable card on the board would wiggle to indicate I missed a play. Sure enough, I'd click the Undo button and the card below was indeed playable. This wouldn't be a problem if the Undo was free and limitless, but the Undo has to charge by removing cards, and it's not always available when you first start the level.
Here are a few of the features I love about this game:
*The piles of cards to remove from the board are numerous.
*Those piles sometimes give the appearance of a single card.
*There are no "Special" cards to remove.
*You can remove all cards because there are no special cards.
*You can replay the levels as often as you want.
*Clicking anywhere speeds up the process to the next level.
*Large Combos are possible if you use strategy and/or Wildcards.
*Mini-Games and HO's break up the monotony of Solitaire levels.
*The card Fonts are easily identifiable and easy to see.
*The graphics are colorful.
*The Music is familiar but relaxing.
*It's a relaxing game, it's a fun game to play, but it's not right to pretend to release a brand new game when in reality they didn't bother to change anything!

Maybe it's just me, but these stories lately are cray-cray, they are nothing but a hodge-podge of goobaly-gok nonsense, I'm fairly certain the developers are asking all their writers to jot down a storyline, and then they throw them all into a hat and draw 5 or 6 different storylines. When they still can't agree on the best subject, someone gets the bright idea to incorporate all of them into one game The end result is Under the Surface, a game about Loch Ness Monsters, Wizards whoo-whoo are wise way beyond their years, magic gems, sorcery, curses, and Dr. Doolittle paranormal gadgets. Oh, I almost left out the best part, this is all a science experiment at school!
What is up with the GADGETS lately? I've said it before, I'll say it again, most HOPA players won't specifically search for a game that has a gadget, but they will specifically pass on a game that has a gadget, so why add an unnecessary Gadget that automatically wipes out 50% or more of your targeted audience? The Gadget in this game is a Pan Flute that allows you to communicate with an entire zoo, a Turtle, Mouse, Horse, Deer, Beaver, Nessie Birds, Wolf, Squirrel, and Fox (9 times in the Main game and 2 times in the CE BC) Each time the Pan Flute is used, you play the same variation game, clicking on the 4 flute reeds to adjust image sections that will recreate that particular animal's image. This gadget requires a huge leap of faith, stretching one's imagination to the outer limits...How does a musical instrument adjust the pictured drawing, do the musical notes convert into drawing notes? Where does this picture come from, is it displayed on a wall or a notebook? Is it a hologram? Does it come with a tablet? How does tweaking a black & white sketch of an animal translate into that animal's language? I don't speak to the flute, the drawing or the animal at any point in time, so just what is the Pan Flutes purpose? Is the Pan Flute psychic too?
There are 9 Hidden Object Scenes and 5 smaller Zoom Zone HOP's (+4 CE BC) They are varied with Listed Item Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pairs Finds, and a couple of unique scenes I enjoyed, where you had to find Paint Splotches that matched black silhouette shapes on a Palette, and several Keys in a display case where only the end shape of the key was shown as clues. In the Collector's Edition version, each of the main HOP's has a Morphing Object to find. Missed morphs can be picked up by replaying the Hidden Object Scenes in the CE extra section, however, there are 13 Hidden Object Scenes in the main game and Bonus Chapter with 13 Morphs, but only 12 re-playable HOP's. There is an alternate Skipping Stones Chain Type Match 3 game available, and after completing the Bonus Chapter, you can play a continuous replay version.
There are 22 Mini-Games (+5 CE BC) which includes a repetitive Pan Flute puzzle where you adjust image sections by playing the flute, to form animals. Below are brief descriptions of some of my personal favorites:
1➺Untangle Ropes by moving Knots.დ
2➺Move lock sections to their color-coded slots by rotating the center disk to pick up and drop off sections. დდ
3➺Arrange stacks so the sum equals the number shown under each column. დდ
4➺Drag multiple clock hands so that each pair of hands point to matching symbols. დდდ
5➺Rotate groups of gems to connect all ray of light points. დდდ
6➺Rotate and swap Gear sections to complete 4 different gears. დდდ
7➺Match the spheres with the shape by pressing arrows to rotate disks. დ
In the CE Bonus Chapter, you play as Venessa who has been sent Morgan on her quest to find the Stone of Gormire that caused all the commotion in the main game's storyline. This is an average length Bonus Chapter that takes place over 8 scenes, although it is a longer chapter than any of the chapters in the main game, it isn't a "lengthy" chapter by any means?? There are 4 Hidden Object Scenes and 5 Mini-Games, 2 of which are Pan Flute "talk-to-the-animals" games. (where does this flute come from, why does it keep showing up, how does it translate human to animal talk?) You will continue the Hidden Owl collection with 8 remaining, and there are 4 Hidden Object Morphs remaining as well.
The Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art Pictures, 10 Music Soundtracks, 12 Movie Video Cutscenes, 13 Achievements, 12 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 26 Replayable Mini-Games, Replayable Skipping Stone Games, 30 Souvenirs (return to each location scene to find the souvenir) 13 HOP Morphs, 38 Collectible Owls (can anyone explain why they chose an owl?) 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-in Strategy Guide.

(yes it's short but packs a punch, let me explain)
Welcome to Sanctum, The City that rules a Thousand Worlds. A city of technology light-years ahead of all known planets. A City young Isaac never knew existed until today, unfortunately, Sanctum has been destroyed by someone or something. All that remains intact is a single component of the incredible planetary network system, Nal'dax, a conscious robot. Isaac soon discovers that Sanctum is just the tip of the intergalactic iceberg and his journey may just answer questions he never knew had answers.
MHG had lost its mojo lately, but this game has renewed my faith, Sci-fi is their wheelhouse and Moonsouls is a fantastic sci-fi! Yes, it's a short game, but they trashed all of the cliche tasks (except for one angry swarm of hornets) added really interesting HOP's, fun puzzles, and a fresh new plot. At no point in time did I become weary or bored playing this game, which is more than I can say for nearly all of the recent HOPA releases where I'm doing the same thing over and over, chapter after chapter, wondering if it will ever end. A game doesn't have to be lengthy to be enjoyable, quite the opposite if a game is 7-8 hours long but all I'm doing is ditching a tool in one scene only to discover I need to find the same tool again to complete the same kind of task, what's the fun in that? Games have to have a decent story nowadays because they can't come up with a new way to actually play the game!
The MHG Spiral Signs have returned, some are cleverly hidden, others not-so-much. There are Morphing Objects in every scene as well as within the Hidden Object Scenes, The HO morphs are very challenging but they made the scene morphs way too obvious because the objects they morphed into were objects that looked way out of place in the scenery. Because of the ease of spotting collectibles and morphs, I would probably recommend holding off for the SE version if you prefer collectibles to be more challenging.
There are a few Gadgets, 2 of which are only used in the first chapter when wearing a diving suit, a Hook and a Clamp that's used 3 times each and doesn't involve a repetitive mini-game. You also use a Moonsouls Glove 5 times, but it doesn't involve a mini-game either. I'm not a fan of gadgets but these aren't annoying at all.
There are 13 actual Hidden Object Scenes +3 in the CE Bonus Chapter, as well as a few Zoom Zone hop's. I'm rarely impressed with HOP's nowadays because they are just soooo easy, but I absolutely loved these! They were located in interesting locations and most were very sci-fi or bright and colorful. My favorites were finding items that Matched Swatches, finding 2 of each item, Symbol Finds (very challenging) and a Mushroom Pair Match. There are also Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Fragmented Silhouetted Shape Finds, Related Item Finds, and Symbol Finds. In this Collector's Edition version, each HOP scene has a very challenging Morphing Object to find, and you can play the replayable HOP's to pick up Morphs you may have forgotten to look for, as well as some Achievements.
There are 11 Mini-Games +2 in the Collector's Edition Bonus Chapter. There are 3 or 4 scenes where you have to find and replace items to progress the story but these are not listed as mini-games or HOP's according to the CE Strategy Guide. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games I loved:
☽ Drag the diver through a maze while avoiding dangers and sea creatures.
☽ Find items and interact with the components to unlock the diary. დ
☽ Rotate & position the blank canvas form which will eventually have to fit 3 different patterns. დ
☽ Fill and/or empty vats to fill the energy tube exactly 4 units. დდდ
☽ Rotate triangle sections to move the ball to the end without colliding with the unmovable triangle.
The Collector's Edition Bonus Chapter is an average length chapter that takes place over 7 scene locations. You play as Chief Shard who goes to Priora to seek her newfound friends' help when a disease spreads rapidly throughout the Guardians. There are 3 Hidden Object Scenes and 2 Mini-Games available, and you will pick up the remaining 7 Spiral Signs, 7 Scene Morphs, and 3 HOP Morphs.
This Collector's Edition version has 12 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art Pictures (w/ before-after slider bar) 10 Music Soundtracks, 11 Achievements (6 have 3 categories) 16 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 44 Morphing Objects (16 within the Hidden Object Scenes) 28 Collectible Spiral Signs, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-in Strategy Guide.
