What a quirky game this turned out to be. This game is all about the Hidden Object Scenes with a few mini games tossed in for good measure so if you're expecting anything else you will be disappointed. My only complaints are that some of the listed items are just way too small, and the "ghostbuster" narrator, interrupts gameplay too often and talks too slowly.
The Burton's invested all their money into buying their new house, which has turned out to be haunted. With no place to go, they invite Mr. Hobblepop inside to do whatever he can to permanently remove the ghosts so they can live happily ever after. (at least until the second Mishap which appears to be an intentional haunting)
Each section of the house will have 4 rooms to explore and find useful items. There will be a door icon when you can move to the next room. Whenever Mr. Hobblepop's Monocle begins to shake, there is a ghost that needs to be caught 3 different times before he will leave for good. There is a meter at the bottom of the screen that will help you locate him, which completely lights up when you find the exact area he is hiding in. You can click on the Ghost Icon to read a bio on each ghost you catch.
There are a few Extra's available in this game, similar to a Collector's Edition. There are 8 replayable Mini Games, 12 replayable Cutscenes, 9 Awards and even Bonus Content available after completing the game, enjoy!

PuppetShow games lost their appeal a long time ago because nothing changes, the graphics are the same steampunk type, the characters all look the same, and the storylines are getting more bizarre with each new release. Her Cruel Collection has nothing to offer, new or old, it has the same mundane tasks (bet you knew there would be a ladder in the next scene, bet you knew before the cursor changed, to look in the front of the car AND the trunk or to look on the windowsill, right?), and it has the exact same graphics as the Dark Tales series. I kept expecting Detective Dupin to show up and present me with the evidence he found! (btw, Dark Tales has lost it's appeal to most gamers as well!)
You get to choose a gender and then choose between three different profile pictures within that gender. I wasn't impressed by this feature either,. I chose the female gender and was given the option to choose a blonde woman with braids, a teenager holding a fuzzy kitten or a young brunette who doesn't look like she ever held a job and would be devastated if she were to break a nail, humf, decisions, decisions, which should I choose. (it's not like the game will change according to my choice. I would rather have had the opportunity to choose my Mechanical Cat helper, maybe I wanted a cat with blue eyes and all chromed out!
The Collector's Edition version isn't very CE worthy either. There are 9 Collectible Puppets, but you can't miss them, they aren't hidden, in fact, they are within Zoom Zones and the window doesn't close until you click to collect your prize. Other than Achievements, that's about all that you get. You can also check out the Collectibles and earned Achievements fairly easily because there are large pull down tabs available at the top of the screen. If you must have this game, I suggest this Standard Edition for the value benefit.
Once the kidnappers give you a deadline to raise their ransom request, a giant Clock is added to the screen as well. I hope there are no more demands because pretty soon my screen won't have any room left, especially if they demand a helicopter!
The Hidden Object Scenes should please just about everyone because each scene has a different type. There are the standard Interactive list finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, Keywords and even replacing items back into the scene where they logically fit.
The Mini Games are decent, but nothing really challenging. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap the pins to place them in the correct positions according to their symbols.
2) Fill the field with green chips in order to beat your opponent. Select green chips and the desired space, moving the chips one space duplicates it, moving chips more than one space will just move the chip. The chips turn adjacent chips to the same color.
3) Select two tiles to swap them and restore the stamp, some tiles are stationary.
4) Select the print button and choose matching pairs of money to gather them inside the bag or move them to the side, making sure torn and dirty banknotes don't get placed into the bag.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Collectible Puppet Figures, 9 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 17 replayable Mini Games, 4 Music Soundtracks, 15 Videos, 5 Screensavers, 10 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 12 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. I did actually purchase the CE on a 241 sale, and not much changed after the demo, and to be honest with you, I haven't finished the game and it doesn't bother me that I haven't. This tells me that the game isn't even entertaining enough to want to play it much less finish it.

Another child has been born cursed. (he was born with a blue beard I suspect) Count Bluebeard has vowed to end this horrible curse no matter what the cost. So he searches for a woman with the purest of souls, and demands she marry him, if she values her life. Rachel agrees to wed the horrible tyrant if he promises not to harm the love of her life, Richard, little does she know that's she's nothing but a brood mare to the count! Next!
Only Dark Romance knows how to put the dark into romance. And only Dark Romance knows how to give us the perspective of two different characters. In this episode, you will play the handsome doctor to be, Richard who's fiance has just been stolen from him, and to add salt to the wound, has been wrongfully imprisoned. You also get to play as Rachel the beautiful and fair young maiden who has the purest of souls (not for long!) and had to choose to marry the count to save her fiance. Other devs may have tried, but Dark Romance has made the transitions between characters, flawless, and ever so interesting. I would love to see a third character added, wouldn't it be cool to play as Bluebeard as well?
This Collector's Edition has all the bling you could ever want, or think you want for that matter! For starters there are 12 Morphing Bestiary animals and 13 Character Statuettes to collect. There are also 15 Collectible Spells and Journal Notes to find and 49 Collectible Roses that are used to purchase items such as paintings, flowers, and sofas to decorate the Boudoir. (the demo doesn't have this feature) Each of the collectibles have an icon that only light up when there is an available collectible in that category. The icons may light up but at least the cursor doesn't change whenever you scan the scene which make it more fun in my opinion when you actually have to look for them. There is also an icon of a locket with both Richard's and Rachel's pictures and when it's necessary to switch between them the locket will glitter.
The Hidden Object Scenes are pretty decent and vary with many different types. I really enjoyed the locations of some of them, my favorite was underwater as you switched back and forth between taking an item out of the inventory bar and using them correctly, and the next item was a listed item to find in the scene. There are also the traditional Interactive List finds, Progressive, Interactive, Silhouetted Shape finds, Uncovering Matching Pairs of items, and another unique HOP where you had to Spot The Differences in items that were also reflecting in a mirror. Many of the HOP's have a small puzzle to solve within, and you can also opt to play a Match 3 game, which btw is a requirement for one of the achievements.
The Mini Games could have been a little more creative, but they are available in two different modes of difficulty, Easy and Hard. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Rotate the discs to complete the image. Rotating some discs may affect others.
2) Rotate the circles to complete the image, rotating some circles may affect others. (I see a pattern here)
3) Place different items from the shelves into the picture to restore it. (what, placing one item doesn't affect another?)
4) Restore the portrait by rotating the tiles, rotating one tile may affect others. (aha! there it is)
5) Match the symbols on the door to the carving on the wood below, press the symbols to change it. Pressing one tile may affect others. (again, really?)
6) Repair the boat by placing patches within the outline, and rotate it by sliding the peg. Selecting one patch....(nope, just kidding)
7) Guide the cellar key through the labyrinth.
8) Untangle the ropes by dragging the pegs until no rope crosses another.
9) Rotate each circle to restore the picture, press arrows to exchange the circles.
10) Follow a recipe in the right order.
11) Untangle belts by removing them in the correct order.
12) Change all of the symbols on the board. Select the symbol you want to change and the symbol you want to change it to in a limited amount of moves. (should have affected the limited moves)
This Collector's Edition has 15 Wallpapers, 23 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 30 Videos, 30 Achievements, 24 replayable Mini Games, 12 Morphing Bestiary and 13 Character Statuettes, 15 Collectible pages for The Book of Spells, 49 Collectible Roses, Boudoir items to purchase with roses, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

fromI hate it when I aim at the tail end of the line but the ball gets stuck on a single ball at the beginning of the line!

I'm a big fan of marble popping games, and this one has it all. It's face paced, so you'll have to have a need for speed, especially when two different lines come into play! I love the ancient Maya graphics that look and sound like stone and the music is unobtrusive, with a pleasant wooden flute type of instrument that you'd expect from an indian culture.
The object of the game is to move your cart left and right to aim and shoot at the continually moving line of colorful marbles. You left click to shoot your marble and right click to change the color of your marble, as you try to make matches of at least 3 identical colored marbles which are removed from the line. If the line makes it to the end, you will lose. When you make large matches, an ancient artifact will fall down and if you catch them with your cart you will get temporary bonuses to help you win. Some artifacts Slow the line's movement, Reverse the line's direction, give you a sharpshooter pointer, Stop the line's movement all together or give you a Rainbow ball that can be used as any color.
With the money you earn you can buy Power-ups in the shop. Eventually there will be a total of 9 but in the demo you get a BombBall which takes out a small number of balls, a ChainBomb that takes out the entire line or chain, a RainBall which drops down destructive rain from the top of the screen and takes out random balls, and you can buy Extra Lives, because you only start out with 3 Lives. You can buy as many Power-ups and lives as you can afford, each time you use them you will have to re-buy new ones.
I have played, and own a lot of games in this genre, and in my opinion, this game is far more exciting than the Luxor series, give it a try for yourself, enjoy!

Well, there goes your two week vacation, there won't be any R&R this time. You didn't even get a chance to check in at the Scarlet Rose Hotel, heck, you didn't even make it to the main gate before you found the local sheriff dead! It's a good thing you're a detective who specializes in violent crimes, because there have been several murders at the hotel lately, including the owner of the hotel! You may have thought you've seen it all, but these victims were frozen to death almost instantly, and it may be cold in those mountains, but it's not that cold! The only clue you have to go by is a paper lily, gently placed on each of the victims. This vacation is anything but relaxing, this may be the toughest case you've ever tried to crack!
Crime Secrets is a really decent Standard Version game, originally released in June of 2016. Usually, I prefer computer generated graphics, but I must say, the hand drawn graphics are stunning, some of the best hand drawn graphics I've ever seen. You even get to collect Snowflakes throughout the game, which I believe give you extra hints because they disappear into the hint icon. I thought I clicked on an origami swan in the first scene that did the same thing, but I didn't find any others during the demo so I have no idea what it was.
I loved the Hidden Object Scenes which were referred to as Detective Mode. All of the listed words were covered with clouds, and you had to scour the scene to find clues and pieces of evidence. When you click on the correct clue, such as footprints, the cloud is removed from the word. After all the clues have been found, several tiled pictures of the clues you found are shown and you need to put them in the correct order that they happened (there are blue and orange lines to help you out by matching the lines) After the tiles are placed correctly, a short video is shown with what the detective believes happened in that crime scene. There are also normal interactive List find HOP's as well, and you can opt for a Mahjong game instead.
The Mini Games are kind of easy, and I didn't notice anything new, but they are fun. Below are brief descriptions of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) reach the top hole with the belt by visiting each hole omly once.
2) Find the copy of the broken key by matching the other keys with their drawers.
3) Turn the safe knob either left or right to the correct combination using the clue you found.
4) Draw uninterrupted lines connecting wheels of the same color in 3 progressively harder puzzles.
This is a decent game that is really entertaining and certainly worthy of a credit or taking advantage of today's sale, enjoy your vacation!
I recommend this game!

Frogs in Love
Win over Jasmine, the frog princess of your dreams, by competing in a variety of minigames and earning coins.

After seeing Jasmine for the first time, this little tree frog is willing to do anything to catch her eye. She tells him he must win a contest at the upcoming Flower Festival to be worthy enough to take her out on a date. All the critters at the pond are giving him advice on how to improve his skills, this poor little guy is going to be exhausted by the time the festival rolls around.
This is a fairly simple game to play, and would be an awesome game to play on your phone in my opinion. As you jump around the pond (and later to other ponds) you can talk to the frogs, ducks, and other critters that have an exclamation point above them. You can choose which advice or game to play, some require more coins than others. Some of the games are fun and kind of addicting, others are fun, but are more of a take it or leave it kind of game.
The following are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Eat as many bugs as you can before the timer runs out. You can jump to different lily pads, and you simply click on the flying bugs to catch them with the frogs tongue. Be careful not to eat the bees or the frogs tongue will swell up.
2) Grab a butterfly (the same way as catching the bugs) then throw them at a matching butterfly. You can jump to different locations, and if you throw the butterfly to one that doesn't match, they will multiply.
3) Jump your way up the river from lily pad to lily pad. Don't let the current take you downstream to the waterfall.
4) Race around the pond by jumping on lily pads and rocks in a circular path as you race ducks and other water critters in several laps.
This is a cute game that can be played by everyone in the family. Enjoy!

If this is my new job, I'm throwing in the towel, and quitting. I can usually find some entertainment value in just about any game, but I was so bored playing this game, I barely made it past the tutorial levels.
The object of this game is to Build buildings that will earn money such as a Repair Shop, a Car Wash, a Parking area and other services that customers want or need. The more you progress, the faster the work is preformed which is a good thing because it starts out painstakingly slow. You can also advertise on billboards, and purchase cars to fix up to the standard of today's "Trends" and sell to make a profit.
Here's why this game is boring. #1-You have a lot of clicking and dragging to do, click on the car, drag it to the repair shop, drag it to the car wash, drag it here drag it there, etc. #2-You have too many tasks to think about, first figure out if you want to buy a car or repair a customer's car, do you build a building with your profits, do you check the untitled clipboards first, is this car trendy, do I advertise now, there's just too many meaningless tasks (37 total) #3-There's no timer so you can do everything at a snails pace if you want, but on the other hand, there's no incentive, no rewards, no, I'll replay the level until I get a better score, I don't even get a meaningless star. Maybe I'm just not into repairing cars, and just maybe you will enjoy repairing cars, so please try the demo first because you may be just as disappointed as I was.

Princess has asked their good friend, Poseidon, to take Victor fishing so she can plan a surprise Birthday Party for Victor's birthday. There's so much to be done, and so little time!
This edition of Weather Lord has exceptional graphics, maybe it's just because of the different scenery that take's place in their Royal garden. There's a ton of things to do in each and every level, and this Time Management series is different than most because you need the elements of weather to achieve your goals. You will need the Sun to dry up puddles, the Wind to chase away the clouds, and Rain is used to grow crops for food. These additional tasks can make it a little more difficult to finish the levels within the Expert time frame, however, but I love this feature.
Each level has Bonus Icons available that temporarily give you an extra worker or extra resources, can freeze time or make the existing workers faster. The icons must recharge before being used again, and you will need to use all available bonuses to achieve expert status and receive a Gold Medal. There is a star meter located at the top which shows Gold, Silver or Bronze time status. You can play the game in a Relaxed untimed mode or Normal, and there are 28 Awards to earn as well. Some levels have a hidden Jigsaw Puzzle piece, which allows you to assemble a puzzle when all pieces have been found.
This is an excellent Time Management game series, with a good storyline and decent graphics. Although this game has the typical TM tasks, collecting resources, gathering food, repairing bridges and buildings, it also has unique features using the elements of weather.
This Collector's Edition offers replayable Movies, 8 Music Soundtracks, Collectible Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to assemble, 6 Wallpapers, 28 Awards to achieve, a Strategy Guide and Bonus Levels, however, in my opinion, these "extras" aren't worthy of the "extra" price tag, so I will wait for the Standard Version to be released, enjoy!

I totally agree with one of my favorite fellow reviewers, Granny_Gruff, (I love her fantastic sense of sarcasm) when she stated that "this is another bland overly average addition to an established series" I think we can all agree that we've been there, and done that, the devs didn't get creative on a single feature, the graphics are bland, the HOP's are uninteresting, the puzzles are, well, they're just puzzles that have been done before, not even the music is exciting. Everything just seems like a chore, but there's no reward for doing the chores. If a story is really exciting, doing mundane tasks aren't bothersome because you'll do anything to advance the storyline, right?
Danse Macabre games are all about talented artists who rise and fall usually at the hand of a familiar person who has a hidden nefarious plan. When your best friend Maria Reiter is chosen to be cast in a movie by a renowned producer in New York, you accompany her to the docks to say your farewells. Before the ship even leaves port, you witness a stranger kidnap Maria, using the ship's only lifeboat! It's now up to you to uncover their nefarious plot, and save your best friend from what seems to be human artist trafficking.
As if the game itself isn't boring enough, the Collector's Edition version has very little to offer. SURPRISE! There are 39 Hidden Signs, one in each scene to look for, but it's kind of b-o-r-i-n-g. Bet you didn't see that one coming! Other that a morphing object offered (and only within the HOP's) there's the usual Achievements to earn, so if you really have to have this game, I'd stick with this Standard Edition.
The Hidden Object Scenes offered are the same as the other games offered by Epix with the typical "find 5 of this item and 5 of that item" which gives you an item to use as a tool to open up the interactive lists such as a broom to sweep the dust covering the list. There are also Descriptive list finds, Multiple item finds and matching pair finds where you click items that are covering the matching pairs. As I stated earlier, the Collector's Edition includes a Morphing Object in each scene, and you can opt for a Match 3 game instead of the HOP.
The Mini Games are okay, but most are fairly easy to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Rotate the moveable parts of the gate until the two wings of the gate are identical.
2) Send the ships to the correct ports based on their flags, with the specific number of moves indicated without backtracking.
3) Use the clues from the leaflet to find the exact address of the theater.
4) Select and place the tokens in the correct order to complete the picture, each new token placed will push the previous token to the next slot.
5) Position the note on the right side so they mirror the ones on the left side.
6) Connect the ribbons to all the buttons so that every pattern on the ribbon on the top of the heap matches the pattern of the tile below.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Music Soundtracks, 7 Videos, Match 3 games, 22 replayable Puzzles, 16 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 8 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, 39 Hidden Signs, a Souvenir Room, 16 Morphing Objects within the Hidden Object Scenes, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.
I don't recommend this game.

Bird's Town
Build up Birds Town using incredible powerups, gorgeous gems, and more in this incredibly fun Marble Popper game!
This "Top Reviewer" is one of our most frequent game reviewers. We think you'll trust what they have to say and find their reviews helpful and informative.
I love marble popping games, and Bird's Town is a hoot (sorry for the pun) This game is similar to Evy: Magic Spheres, but instead of shooting at balls, you shoot at colorful birds. I love everything about this game and I purchased it the second the demo ended.
The object of the game is to make matches of at least three identical colored birds before they reach the cage at the end of the line where the hungry cats await their tasty dinner! Your "shooter" is actually one of the good guys because he's trying to save his friends from becoming dinner. The shooter is sitting in a cargo trailer at the bottom of the screen and you shoot the colored bird he is holding (Left clicking) at the continually growing line of birds, hopefully making a match of the same colored birds, which allows them to fly away and be free. You can switch to the next color by right clicking.
Some of the birds have gems that fall to the ground, and if you catch the falling gems in your cart you will earn more money which allows you to build Bird Town with houses, lakes, schools, banks and shops. As you progress, the paths the birds travel on get more twisted, the line moves quicker and more birds are added. Making matches next to an egg will cause the egg to hatch, and matching birds with shields will cause the line to slow down, or freeze for a short while, or they give you special abilities to help you aim or shoot better. Even though this is an older game, the graphics are really good, and it's definitely a big fish keeper, enjoy!
