It wasn't quite what I expected. I own all the other Christmas Stories games but I wasn't as impressed by this year's version. The graphics are beautiful as always, but there seemed to be too much focus on them, or I should say the animations, which took away from game playing time. In other words, the game was much shorter than I expected, especially compared to the other CS versions. There also didn't seem to be as many HO puzzles within the game as there have been in the other versions.
Everything else about the game was similar to the others, except this time it was divided into three parts as your character has to perform three specific good deeds.
If you're a fan of the Christmas Stories games as I am, it's a nice addition to the collection. But in retrospect I would have waited for it to go on sale before buying.
I've played the other Rescue Team games and this is probably my favorite. The levels offer a challenge without being nearly impossible to achieve. This is the type of game you can get lots repeat enjoyment from.
I've only played the trial so far but can say this is an enjoyable TM farm game. Those familiar with the Ranch Rush games will see similarities between these two. You plant various crops, water them when needed, chase away pests, feed animals and harvest their goods, such as milk, wool and peacock feathers. But tending the farm is more magical- a broom to chase away pests and magic dust to fix broken machinery, etc. Instead of harvesting a set amount of goods from a list as in RR, in this game customers appear at the top of the screen and you fill each order.
Some features I like are: You can choose levels of difficulty or just use relaxed mode. The graphics are colorful and appealing. You can multi-click so as to plan your moves ahead of time. The game can be a fun, rather than stressful, challenge. As in RR you can rearrange your crops and animal placement if you want.
All in all it's an entertaining TM game and good for all ages.
This is a nice game that involves building up a dilapidated railroad in order to save it from a greedy banker. You gather resources such as lumber, water and rocks, clear tracks, fix buildings, etc. There's not much to the story line, but then I've never been big on TM story lines anyway. That aside, this a pretty straight forward and very family friendly game.
There is both a timed and relaxed mode. It's not hard to achieve the gold for each level on the timed mode, but it does involve a certain amount of strategy. I found it a fun kind of challenge, nothing stressful about it. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants a relaxing game and fun TM game, and if you like trains even better!
This is probably my favorite in the Jane's Hotel series. It's not a challenging game, but there is some planning and strategy involved in order to reach the expert level. More of a TM game for when you're wanting to relax and have fun. The graphics are nice and the customers are a rather quirky bunch. If you want a TM game that doesn't leave you feeling frazzled, this is one I would recommend.
I've only played the 1 hour trial so far, but based on that I feel this is an enjoyable game. You have a group of people working to restore an old estate, while establishing a farm and farmer's market. As others have mentioned, there is no timer in the game...you simply go through assigned tasks, such as repairing buildings, establishing crops, picking up trash, etc. In the meantime, you're creating recipes such as applesauce and popcorn, to sell in your farmer's market. Although the workers are autonomous, you can make them take coffee and social breaks to improve their productivity. This is not a fast paced, fly by the seat of your pants game, but I feel it's much more engaging and interesting than a game such as My Tribe. From the brief time I played it I would say the pluses for this game are:
Beautiful, crisp graphics. A worker management system that keeps you engaged, but not overwhelmed.
The cons would be: Little to no storyline. Workers have no distinct characteristics or personalities. No real strategy involved in the game.
I feel it would be a game worth purchasing as a relaxing, enjoyable diversion.

While I normally love the TM restaurant games, like Delicious and Diner Dash, this isn't one of my favorites. The game itself sounds promising...Amelie takes customer orders, you click on the appropriate food station to fill the order, give customers their food, clean the work stations and perform additional tasks. You can also add decorations and upgrades to the restaurant with each level. However, I found the cleaning part to be tedious and annoying after a while; it really slows down the game play. Plus, I feel the game developers added on too many elements in the game's later stages, which makes it kind of frustrating. All in all the game is okay.

I've never played the previous Shop-n-Spree game, so can't compare it with that one. But I found this game to be fun and challenging. It's a TM game but, since you need to find products for customers, there's a little hidden object element to it. But more than just giving products to the waiting customers, there are many products that need assembly or preparation. The shops are in different exotic locations, and include products such as food, souvenirs and costumes. There are enough levels to provide hours of game play and at times it's very fast paced. My one complaint was the restocking element, which was kind of slow at first...so I advise upgrading that as soon as possible. Also, some of the items were too close together There were quite a few times I'd accidentally pick up the wrong item, which was frustrating when the game got into the fast-paced stage. But aside from these things, I found the game to be a lot of fun.
If you liked the first two Farm Mania games, you will really enjoy this one. The game play is basically the same, but there are new elements that make it even more enjoyable. There are exotic locations, new animals (livestock and the pesky kind) and interesting new crops. For the seasoned FM players, the levels won't be difficult to pass...but they still present a nice challenge. For those new to FM, be sure to organize your time well, feed animals before they ask (this seems to make them either grow, or produce wool or feathers faster) and watch out for animals that steal crops.
The graphics are cute and the music is pleasant. You can get a lot of enjoyment out of this game.
I recommend this game!

This game was a very fun and challenging TM game. The graphics are great, detailed and three dimensional. The story is predictable, but the game itself is a challenge without being impossible. Be sure to hire staff as soon as possible, and max their salary so that they'll be efficient. In the higher levels a band is very helpful, for the music helps keep customers patient. You can get many hours of enjoyment out of this game!
