Although this game doesn't have all the bells/whistles that most CE's are providing gamers now, it is still a solid, enjoyable investment. But for some players I suspect it won't be worth the CE price.
For every very strong positive, this game seems to have a negative.
This game has beautiful, storybook graphics. But they aren't quite sharp.
Good voice overs & cut scenes but they are all truncated so you miss the last few seconds.
A decent storyline but little real action or excitement.
The HO's are really pretty with pretty music. The puzzles are doable.
I like this game, don't love it and might get it some day if it comes up on a good sale or as a SE. I question whether the extra content at the end would make the few extra dollars worth it.
Gorgeous photos that fit the theme. In fact, I like the photos in this more than Jigsaws Galore.
You can customize the pieces somewhat but there aren't any "fun pieces". You can't import your own photos.
Other points:
Trophies and points to win but nothing to "spend" points on.
Decent ambient music.
I will be buying this game because there are enough photos that I like, it is worthwhile to me. But I would love to see a 3rd installment that really went further… maybe building a castle using points you get by solving puzzles.
Lovely artwork, good voice overs. I was drawn in from the start and found the gameplay engaging. One of the first HO scenes had flowers & insects to find. So very pretty. The HOS are interactive and attractive.
Morphing objects, but not in every scene so you'll have to be careful. Decent storyline and story telling. The occassional voice overs are done quite well, which is always appreciated.
Only two difficulty levels.
My one major complaint is mini-games apparently do not have a Reset button, unless I am missing something. In a Collector's Edition, you get the Strategy Guide so if you're stuck you can check. But not having a Reset means the SG is useless if you've already attempted the puzzle and moved parts around. I exited the game etc and even this did not reset the puzzle.
Giving game 5 stars but will not be buying Collector's Edition unless they fix the lack of a reset button. How this got through Beta without someone commenting is strange. I apologize if there is a way to reset and I missed it.
I downloaded demo with every intent on hating this game based on the 3 pix posted on it's product page… and ended up having to revise my prejudgement.
I personally love Mahjong but prefer having themed tiles and not standard Chinese. This game delivers on that very well.
You have a lot of options in this game. Tile Set, Background, Layout all of which you can choose individually in "Custom" mode or use the game's "Theme" option.
The artwork, while unremarkable and kind of cheap is at least colorful, cheery and easy to see. Visual quality is mediocre.
Gameplay is basic with options for winnable/random and timed/untimed. No other sorts of challenges.
The music is even cheaper than the graphics. Repetitive & annoying. They'd have done better to have none than put the awful 'music' in.
This seems like a good game to play around the holidays with family and as an easy past time while waiting for the laundry to get done.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a 'buy' but a definite 'give it a try'. If we could give half starts this would have gotten 3.5. Rating got rounded up because this game doesn't pretend to be anything it's not.

Decided this will be an immediate buy for me within a few minutes of playing. It has Match 3's, Hidden Object Junk pile scenes, Found Objects & Adventure gameplay.
Lovely artwork. The storyline and characters are done well enough that they add to the experience. The music is also nicely done, IMO. In style and blend of genres, it reminds me of Chronicles of Emerland.
One has a Magic Amulet giving you Fire when needed, Helpful Frog dispensing Hints and a Magic Vial to mix found ingredients to make Spells.
Drag spells in your Inventory onto vial near frog and see what ingredients you need. Then drag ingredients from your inventory into vial. Took me a minute to figure out these mechanics.
I played Casual and it has gone very well. Hint button recharges quickly, no penalties for too many clicks in HO scenes. Junk piles are pretty to look at and seem well lit so far. One or two items may be tricky but not terribly so. Items in Inventory get used sooner rather than later.
My guess is that this would appeal to players looking for something a little different and not appeal to players who like really difficult/hardcore HO games. There are no achievements as far as I can tell, no morphing objects or collectibles. This game doesn't need them.
I would like to see more games like this. Highly recommend.
Caution-if you're trying the game be sure you've entered your name by clicking the bottom tab and typing it in. I lost my initial progress because I just jumped into the game as Player without entering my name. No biggie, it's fun and I am happy to go around a second time.

This is an extremely basic Mahjong. No hints or power-ups. Nothing but boards to clear and an optional timer.
The one real plus to this game are the various Halloween-themed tile sets. And that's my preference in Mahjong- tiles with themed artwork rather than the traditional Chinese characters. However, while the artist is to be commended for the various tiles, the rest of the game suffers from a glaring lack of development. Thus the deduction of two stars.
The music is bland and vaguely appropriate for Halloween but also repetitive and eventually annoying.
Can only recommend this as a Daily Deal. And even then there are other games for Halloween that have more going for them.
To save your father from a hideous monster, you've decided to sacrifice your own freedom. Now you must journey through a strange and magical land before time runs out!
Such a beautifully crafted game with well done extras. Lots of animations, charming characters. Artwork is gorgeous. I especially love the Magical Bird who helps you from time to time. The storyline is very thoughtfully done which is refreshing.
Gameplay straightforward, I had it on casual but suspect many gamers will find that too easy. I'm not expert in Hidden Object/Adventures but in this game in Casual is a breeze.
Map appears early on & lets you know when area cleared. Hint fills quickly. Strategy Guide seems clear and concise though I didn't need it much in the time I played.
Optional match game if you don't want to do the HO scenes which are interactive. No morphing objects but the animations throughout make up for this, IMO.
Extras include collecting Birds for the Bird House and winning achievement trophies that appear as props in a Fairy Tale book.
No wonder this had such a long load-time. It was worth every second. Will be using two credits for this CE by the day's end so I can keep going. Highly Recommend.
This game was love at first fright. It's a fun Halloween themed game with all aspects done right. It's got a storyline and map to move you along. A haunted house to refurbish with decor won completing the boards. You don't get to choose where to put the decor but it's still a welcome interlude between boards.
Overall, the game play is smooth with relaxed and timed mode. It seems you can keep making matches as tiles fall. So far it seems to have the usual power ups and bonus tiles.
The artwork is really nicely done. The backgrounds are spooky in a non-threatening way. Tiles are a good size making it easy to see and match. The tile graphics are freaking awesome- a Skull, creepy raggedy Ann doll, Eyeballs….
Where this game really shines is the Halloween music and sound effects. They set the mood AND entertain.
For instance, make a large match and bonus tiles appear on the board that have their own unique sound and animations.
Examples: When you get and use a Jack O'Lantern bonus tile you hear and see it splatter over an area of the board as it removes a bunch of tiles. When you get/use a Silver Bullet it shoots and removes a vertical column.
For me, those bonus tiles are so much fun, they almost become a diversion from accomplishing your goal for each board. LOL!
I put the level of challenge at "Good" but this is subject to further review. After playing through this game on relaxed I might go back and do it on timed. Hard core players who demand a challenge might find this too easy.
This is a must buy for Match-3 players who want some Halloween fun done by professionals. Congratulations to the developers. I wish they'd put out a similar game for Christmas. Definite buy and highly recommend.

Such a charming game. Definitely geared towards younger crowd. Nevertheless, it's fun & a pleasant diversion from Dark/Death/Grim games that are legion here at Big Fish.
This is target shooting on a grid with baffles etc. Cute cartoony graphics. Music is gentle and appealing. Just enough of a storyline to get the ball rolling.
The gameplay is quite fun and requires enough aforethought & planning to make it both fun and just a tiny bit challenging. Especially if you want to get 3 stars on each level. Which is fine with me. If I'm in the mood for hardcore challenge, I play Sparkle.
Peeked ahead and found 80+ levels. A worthwhile investment. I look forward to exploring the different boards in this game.
I recommend this game!

This is the first game I'm reviewing with intent to warn other Big Fish members.
Armado is a variation of the side-scroller with the character spiraling up and then down hills. There are gaps to cross and obstacles to jump over as well as enemies to avoid or vanquish. Think Robot Unicorn but with graphics spiraling up and down not just horizontal.
The problem is that with Robot Unicorn, you can click multiple times to gain height or length with jumps. In this game that just doesn't happen. This is a major flaw. Other actions can be sluggish at times but aren't as detrimental as having no ability to gain extra height/length with simple, timed clicks.
This is also an extremely short game. There are only 7 hills you go up and down… and on the 7th you don't even go down. An eagle swoops you up and back home. So it's only got 13 "levels".
I looked for info on this game online and it seems to be an iPad game that has been formatted as a full length game. It isn't.
All that said, the 3d graphics are quite good. The storyline is good, the voice over narration is good, the character "Armado the Armadillo" is engaging. The gameplay is fun. The power ups adequate.
It's an absolute shame the developers didn't give Armado the ability to get extra height/length in his jumps. The biggest isse, however, is this game needs to be at least 4x longer to be considered a full length game. And frankly, I think passing this off as a full length game is misleading to the extreme.
