...games around (I bought this years ago). This match 3 is basic with bombs only that the game chooses to dish out. They aren't power-ups. You don't even realise you have lives until you either gain one or lose one. The other bad points are... no hint if you can't see a move and no shuffle of any kind if there are no moves. When there are no moves all you can do is sit there and watch the time pass in which you lose a life and get to start the round again. Oh, there are no in-game options of volume control or full/non-full screen settings. My suggestion... don't waste your money/credits.
One would have to be a HO die-hard to truly enjoy this game. I love HOs but found this one difficult at times. This was one of the first games I had bought back in 2007 so I'm working from memory here. I will admit the graphics are pretty good. Either way, the choice is yours to play. :)
As a fan of the Jewel Quest series I couldn't resist buying this instalment. I've always enjoyed the combination of solitaire and match 3 and this is no different. Graphics and game play are usual good quality.
I recommend this game!

Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze
Faye returns to more enchanting realms in this mesmerizing, much-anticipated sequel to Dream Chronicles ™.
Part 2 of the series so I got it and found it just as difficult in sections as the first game. Good storyline, great graphics, sounds and animations and yes difficult in parts. In my opinion the dream Child series is for intermediate to expert players. Some may disagree but this is just my opinion after all -smiles-
I'm a jigsaw puzzle fan and I was a little disappointed in this. As my title says... it had the potential. They started with a good thing but then they stopped with limited puzzles. This could have been taken further. Even the capability of adding my own images to be turned into a jigsaw puzzle wasn't enough. Buy it if you want but there might be better virtual jigsaw puzzle games.
The graphics are okay and I have seen and owned worse. I've played this about 2 or 3 times. This is good for passing the time and going from beginner to intermediate. If you are already an intermediate gamer then this might not be for you, that's where the 60 minute demo is a good idea. Either way, make up your own mind in regards to this game.
The thing that stops this from being a standard solitaire game is the little man at the top of the screen and the treasures you find along the way. It is funny to see what your win or lose of a round will do to him. The graphics and sound effects are enjoyable to look at and listen to. This is a great game if you want a bit of mindless card playing fun.
As for recommending... your choice since I'm in two minds about it.
One of the annoying things was the black jackal popping up in various areas in game play with very little time to click on it because you're too busy searching for the hidden objects. Been a long time since I played this game so I can't remember much about it any more but I do remember thinking it's okay, not great.
This is a great game for those going from beginner to intermediate HO play. With beginning HOs being those without mini games and intermediate with mini games. The mini games in this are not difficult.
The first in the Haunted Hotel series is the best in my opinion.
One of the differences for this HOG compared to others is you can go to an island to find 10 gems to replenish your hints. Yes it can be annoying but at the same time it allowed you to replenish hints if you use them too quickly before the end of investigating a character. Artwork is good, mini games a bit of a challenge. While not the best HO game, but as an introduction to a classic novel, it's playable. I'm in 2 minds about recommending this game. Make up your own mind.
