I've grown to love TM games, through the years, but I've found that the newer games are typically much easier than their predecessors. So, I was truly delighted to have found this game. It is challenging (requires math and logic skills), but you can play beyond the timer (as long as you want) on each level, and, best of all, there are a massive amount of levels when compared to recent TM games! The graphics are crisp, with beautiful colors. The story-line is a little odd (some major plot holes and/or jumping around), but I loved the narrator's voice and enthusiasm enough to not want to skip the cut-scenes and actually want a little more story. Once you get to about the 20th level (for me, at least), you're probably going to need to replay the level in order to get 3 gold stars (if that's your goal - again, you can play each level with no time penalty). There is a strategy guide, as well. I'm still working on getting 3 stars on certain levels without having to look at the guide, yet. Will see how long that lasts, lol. Overall, I love this game and highly recommend it!
I recommend this game!

Thanks to Artifex Mundi and BF for bringing us this delightful, adventure-packed game! The storyline was so compelling that I didn't want it to end! The graphics were incredibly sharp and bright (no dull greys, beiges, etc., as have been in many of the games recently offered). The scenes are quite immersive; the music enjoyable. The characters are well-developed, and the HO and mini games were challenging and fun. I only wish more of Big Fish games could be like this one! Of course, I'd recommend trying the demo before you decide on buying, but I think you'll find it well-worth the purchase, if you do. Happy gaming, Fishies!
I recommend this game!

Kudos to these developers for putting together a game that, unlike SO many recent BF games, combines bright, crisp, modern-looking graphics with an upbeat, fun storyline - all without having to break the bank paying for yet another CE!
This was my very first TM-genre game, so I was wary as to whether I would like it, much less be good at it. Well, I didn't have to worry about either. There are Relaxed, Timed, and Extreme Difficulty modes, and - here's the great thing - you can start out as Relaxed and then go back and replay levels as Timed when/if you've got the hang of it and want to challenge yourself more. Furthermore, if you've built up the abilities of your workers to go faster, that carries with you back to the earlier levels, which significantly helps you time-wise. I loved that!
The storyline is fun, the hero incredibly likeable (think "Woody" from Toy Story), and the graphics are wonderfully modern-looking. There are Achievements to earn, as well, and the Tutorial was very easy to follow. You can skip through both the dialogues and tutorial, but I wouldn't recommend either if it's your first time playing.
Personally, I deal with a physical disability that creates chronic pain, and this game, at its most challenging settings/levels, really helped distract me from my pain. Who could ask for a better side-effect than something that will take, if not your pain, at least your worries away for at least a short time? We could all use that at some point, right? So, give this a try, and I hope it works for you, too!
Keep 'em coming, Cateia Games!
I recommend this game!

I'm a long-time Big Fish-er, but I don't normally leave reviews, especially if I feel the majority of the reviews have already adequately summed things up.
In the case of Subliminal Realms, however, I feel the reviews have not done it justice, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents, for what it's worth. This game is unique, fun, dark-but-not-too-dark, challenging, immersive, and the graphics are gorgeous! There's so much to do, in every scene and active area, and the HOPs were all interactive and VERY creative. I found myself looking forward to each new one to see what the developers had cooked up this time. Having to use different paintbrushes at different times was NOT as tedious as other reviewers let on. Literally, you're just using one to three "brushstrokes" on a painting or item to "finish" it, so you're not at all painting whole canvases or anything of the like. If you DO like the idea of that much painting, however, then there is a nice bonus available #after you collect all of these multi-colored slides hidden throughout the game# which allows you to fully paint several different canvases using all of the brushes. There's also a fun little bonus card game available in the extras, and you can replay all of the puzzles, many of which were new and challenging to me. There's a jump-map, notebook, and locking inventory, and I felt the acting and VOs were quite believable and realistic. Well done, there! Also, there is an animal helper #which I know a lot of people do not like#, but this one - Smudge is his name - was pleasantly quiet and not used over-much throughout most of the game. When he was, it was short and quick.
Overall, I highly recommended this game, but I would of course suggest trying the demo, just in case your tastes differ. I have to say, after this past year's release of some truly abysmal games by BFG #latest 1000 Doors, Surface, Dire Grove, and Phantasmat, just to name a few - messing with my past favorites is so not cool!#, I was contemplating cancelling my club membership. Subliminal Realms has, for now, restored my faith in BFG's judgment and the possibility of putting out more challenging games using new or new-er developers.
We'll see....anyway, hope you enjoy this game as much as I did!
I recommend this game!
