I keep on reviewing the games I play hoping that someone takes in consideration what I say. Useless hopeful thinking as nobody listens. Why do we have to play this kind of games, where there are so few things to do? Why is this the only kind of games available actually? Why can't we choose anymore between backtracking or not? The pattern is always the same, boring and not challenging, even though the games differently conceived are very highly rated. For me this is another series that bites the dust.
I have all of the games of Fear for Sale but I won't buy any other of them. There's so little to do, except the collectibles, that I can't even imagine how bad the SE could be. You are in a place, do a few things and leave for the next. It's a fragmented game and this makes the story fragmented too. Farewell Fear for Sale!
I love the structure of this wonderful series, one of the few where you still have to use your brain and memory to play the game. Here you don't have just to collect the items and use them in the next or the same scene. Even if maybe the graphics could be better, as I've found them a bit blurry, I think this is a very pleasant way to spend your time: a lot of collectibles, customizable game mode and a perfect skipping map if you don't like to backtrack.
More and more I keep on thinking that luckily there are some wonderful games from 2012 can I can repeat, even if not in wide screen. I'd love to buy some new games instead of playing the good old ones. But I keep on failing my new purchases, counting on something that by now has disappeared. And I keep on wondering why the majority of Devs like to change the features of some brilliant series, series that have been loved by so many players. Here we've lost even the adorable Imp, with his cute purse on the shoulders, replaced by a ferret more similar to a rat. Here we have just another boring "walk forward" game where all the challenge and the appeal has been stolen.
The Haunted Legends series never disappoints us. This very long game has everything in it, including new puzzles, different types of HOS and customer mode. Love it!
