I have seen some of the reviewers comments about this game being 'too grainy' or 'strange storyline'. I feel they have missed the point! This game is clearly based upon the horror genre and is not intended to be pretty or graphically elaborate. What it is is ingenious. The storyline, about a girl who receives an odd midnight delivered letter from a long lost sister begging her to come to help her, hooks one right from the start. The games and puzzles are unique, such as finding objects to break a spell, or reversing time in one part, as well as jokes one can read on the book titles about how to make strange locks, are fun and inventive. The storyline which develops into a three part series is meaty and interesting enough for even the most jaded. As I mentioned, it starts out with the main character getting a letter and then going to see her long lost sister * hint* pay attention to her strange wording! Its a clue! She arrives later at the sisters residence to find things are creepier then one can imagine. Voodoo hex dolls hang by the door and the house has clearly been abandoned for a long time, so who sent the letter? This story has become one of my favorites and not since Mystery Case Files Escape From Ravenhearst or Nightmare Adventures has a story held my interest so well. If you like out of the box games with a bit of a creepy thrill along with an ambient, dark soundtrack, this games for you. It is unique, and I wish more developers would learn from that! The next part is due to come out in fall 2014, I literally cannot wait! Excellent work guys, keep 'em coming!!!!,
I recommend this game!

The first two "Fear for Sale" games were fun but I was not expecting the quality nor the entertainment of this new Fear For Sale game. Not only does this game come in at 100% for quality of the HOG's but also has multiple 'beyond' objects and other collectables dispersed throughout the game making for constant fun and leaving one always wanting more. The only comparable game is the "Ravenhearst" series. I was blown away with this game (as the last two "Fear for Sale" games were fun but not quite as amazing as this game). For people who like puzzles more then HOGs there is an option on the HOGs where you can switch and put together a virtual puzzle instead of finding the objects. For HOG fans, the graphics are crisp, clear and the artwork is amazing. Lastly I absolutely love the soundtrack, a sort of haunted, ambient score that I am actually buying separately because I enjoyed it so much. Try this game, you will not be disappointed, it has many surprises and is way above most of the games one finds these days!
I recommend this game!

I literally waited a year for this game and it was worth the wait! Not only do these two stories have excellent story lines , the use of innovative hidden object type games make Ghost Ship studios games stand far above the average run of the mill HO games. This game picks up where Kiaras adventure left off with her finally hearing from ARCANE. For those of you who haven't played first game, you can play this one easily without the need to have gone through it. However you would be missing a rare treat if you dont follow the two games sequentially. I honestly cannot recommend these games enough, these along with Mystery Case Files are my favorite games of all time! If you like mystery, humor and a bit of creepiness this game is for you!!
I recommend this game!

I did not know what to expect after reading the other reviews of this game, many of them were less then complimentary. However, because I love this series so much I went ahead and tried it out. It is just as good as any of the other Mystery Case Files games which are my favorite games from Big fish. The storyline is funny and keeps up the pace, it has new puzzles as well as a solid story line. I do agree that there are few actors or actresses that could top the performance the Shakespearean actor gave in Escape from Ravenhurst but I think the actress, Lea Thompson, did fine. I enjoyed this game immensely and look forward to more form this crew! I hope they keep innovating and changing up their puzzles as they did in this game from a puzzle where you develop pictures to HOS scenes in different rooms ,this game was definitely worth the cash. I do have one wish, and that is for both more beyond objects and a return of the bad guy and a continuation of the storyline from the Ravenhurst games. Good job guys keep up the good work, I hope more games follow your lead.
I recommend this game!
