I play this game on a PC with a mouse. I am glad this game, as their other art games, allow you to hold down the left mouse key and fill in all the numbered areas of the same color without lifting my finger. They got rid of the have to click each square to fill.
Many have complained that they can't select different levels and have to fill out the first page entirely before moving on. This I know is done because each picture has instructions until you leave the page. Then you can select any picture you want. I would love it if the option to turn off the instructions was available. After you have played many of these games, you don't need instructions. Nothing changes.
The designs in this game leave me a little bit disappointed. Some of them I can't make out what the picture is suppose to be. It might be nice if they label the picture as to what it is after you have completed the picture.
The other issue I have with this game is I would like to see all the squares numbered. When I zoom in I like to finish the area I zoomed in on. If all the squares had their numbers, I can select a different color and complete that section. I dislike the idea of having to zoom in and out.
One idea that I love is that when you complete a color, the next color automatically comes up. You don't have to select the next color to move on. If you want a challenge, just randomly select colors to fill them in. It is also nice that the next color is selected and it doesn't go back to the beginning if you have haven't followed the color choices. One thing I like in another developers game is that when you're done with a number the next one appears without you having to unclick the mouse. This allows you to continue painting without having to let go of the mouse to see if your finished with the current color.
All in all I love these art games. They are a break from timed puzzles and you can relax doing them. The idea of painting them with polygons is unusual and makes for a change that is breathtaking. The complaints by others that they don't use enough colors is wrong as the color choices are varied and many. As each new games comes out, they adjust the suggestions and I expect this game not to be any different.
I love Pixel Art and have bought all games from this series and the other paint-by-numbers that BFG has offered. These games are relaxing and enjoyable. I use a screen that provides a work space area that is about 16" x11" and blow up sections so the squares are about 1" x 1" so I can see the numbers and gray areas clearly. I am sad that many of the new puzzles have so many different numbers in this small of area or the numbers are few but done 1 block at a time scattered in the square. This application of scattered 1 block colors leaves the final picture so pixelated that it is hard to see. I did a section that had 28 different colors in this size area. The pictures that you can complete can be beautiful, if they would put less colors in an area and make the colors in connected squares a little larger. With this many squares in this small of an area, sometimes it takes 5 hours to complete. I love the length of time to complete a picture but all the selecting of different colors in a small area is disappointing.. I will continue to buy paint-by-numbers and look forward to more.
I have read the other reviews and find them lacking understanding of the game. I find it interesting and challenging. The instructions are clear but so different from other Match 3 games.
If you get a spider web box that appear at random, you have to very careful not to get three in a row vertically next to them. This will cause the spider webs to expand and cover more blocks. This will cause you to make matches next to them to clear them.
When you get 4 or more blocks matched you do get bonuses. But unlike other Match 3 games, they appear at random in other boxes on the board. They do not appear at the location of the match.
It is a challenging process to not make matches next to spider boxes and to look for bonuses. If you aren't careful you can cover your entire board with spider webs.
My only problem with the game is the bonuses blend in to the game to easily and it is hard to find them.

I love Pixel Art and look forward to every new game. I play each game multiple times until Big Fish brings another. I play this game on my PC. My review is set to my PC as I know this game may be slightly different on tablets or phones.
You can make this game as easy or hard as you want. I can't see the small squares on my computer, so I have to enlarge the areas. Depending on how large you make the areas, the easier it is to find the numbers. Also the larger the area the numbers of the color selected stick out because they are greyed out. As you select the size of the picture the amount of grey varies. To challenge yourself you can hunt the entire puzzle for all the same numbers and fill them in, or you can fill a small area at a time selecting just the numbers in that area. Some puzzles take a few minutes to finish, others can take hours.
They give you sliders to make the background darker and change the size of your puzzle. In addition they give you arrows to switch between levels of colors. If you have a wheel on your mouse, you can change the size of your puzzle by being on the puzzle and rolling the wheel. Easier than shifting to the slider. Also if you put your mouse over the colors you can scroll to the color you want rather than selecting the arrows. Both of these options make it faster.
I was a little unhappy that they changed the timer bar to grey. It is hard to see where it is at. I prefer the green. Spoiler: If you like filling out all the large areas first, I figured out a fast way. As you select each picture, the timer bar is full. This allows you to double click a large area and fill it in. If you select the box in the lower right corner to leave the picture, you can choose "select level" and it takes you back to where you can select the pictures. Reselect the picture you are working on and you can select another large area to double click.
My only dislike of this game is sometimes there are so many color changes in each area that when the picture is complete, it is still hard for me figure out what it looks like. I'm not sure if someone who would actually painted these pictures would make this many small changes in each area.
Big Fish just brought out this game and I'm all ready I'm looking forward to the next. Enjoy the game if you really like paint by number projects.
I read the other reviews and thought the game wouldn't be challenging. I was wrong. There are no instructions which is sad but it if you play a lot of Match 3 the rules are all the same.
First it is important that you read the requirement to accomplish the level by selecting the ?. It tells you what you need to do to accomplish the level.
After you complete a level you have cash to purchase items to help you. When you select the $ on lower left corner of the Map screen you can buy these items. They are available in the lower left corner of the play screen to use.
Then the game plays like other Match 3. If you combine 4 in a row you get a bomb. Collecting 5 you get a row clearer. You can combine these items to make a bigger extra even if they don't match.
Tell the game makers to add instructions and this is like any other Match 3.
