Awesome addition to the series, best yet. The characters, questions, graphics, storyline & choices were a great surprise & the best was the cat!!!! I loved the cat & his sharing lives & sense of humor, purrrfectly executed (puns intended)
I wish I had gotten the CE version & I wanna replay to choose the different ending & some different choices but that will wait for now.
The HOS were good, challenging but not overly so & the mini games were very challenging for the most part. I hate skipping mini games but I had to skip 2 of them (the chase & the bone puzzle) cuz it wasn't working out for me this time to get it right, BUT that's a good thing to have the games challenging instead of the same old easy cheesy stuff, so thank you!!!

I now wish I had gotten the CE of this game. I have the whole series & some are CE's but the majority are the standard version but this is one I would have loved to have played the bonus game.
I have always loved the house at the beginning of the series smiling & crickety & just cool looking & also wondered about SG, why is he such a meanie & small & why he never dies & what is he wanting...this one answers most of the questions, not sure about the meanie part but all the other questions it answered in a fantastically awesome way.
Haunted Legends series has gotten better over time yet still kept the story lines & fun in them all. The mini games at times thruout the series were difficult but always different & good. The HOS are a combo of all types which is great & fun & I am glad that thruout the series they have just gotten better in everything.

After hearing/reading about how the history is wrong I was not really wanting to get this but had a free coupon for CE so I did. I have all the others in this series which is another reason I got it.
The graphics, music, sound are all just amazing & beautiful but the storyline is not really there except in bits & pieces. It could have been much better done, this isn't as good as Solomon's Crown or Smithsonian Castle but it isn't their worst either.
The puzzles & mini games are good, not tough or really challenging but good & I'm glad they put some regular HOS in instead of just the pics that this + that is what cuz sometimes they don't match with what it is & it is hard to figure out at times.
I love the fact cards & the history they tell but I have heard that in this instance a lot of the history is wrong & if so they need to fix it & also the fact cards this time were really a lot of duplicate types of info so not really interesting as far as others in previous games
The bonus chapter I was hoping might make a bit more sense but again not too much & not worth the price of buying the CE

Is it worth the 2 credits or money for the CE? Not really, even having the whole series this is one that would be better getting a SE or using a free credit coupon, tho if ya go by the art & graphics it is amazingly worth it but you can't just go by that.
Eipix needs to get back to how they were with their previous stuff & stop trying to put out so many games in a yr which end up not so well done rather then a few games each yr that are awesome, fun, logical, interesting & challenging

The twinkling lights in the marsh look pretty, but they hold a mysterious power. Whatever you do... do not follow them!

You have finally come back to the standard we all expect from ya'll & I for one appreciate it!!!
It was a great surprise to be able to understand & make sense of this game all the way thru. The story line was great, the challenge was so much better even if some of the HOS were the same as before ya'll changed them up to include FROGS & silhouettes, put aways & regular HOS & the mini games were really good & the explanations for the games were perfect.
I loved the lantern games & enjoyed the fact they got relatively harder each use of the lantern & it was fun as well. I was happy, surprised & excited to play this game once I saw that it was not gonna be like the previous 2 games & how some of ya'lls others turned out.

It was supposed to be a routine mission. But when a dragon attacks your plane, crash-landing in a lush valley, you're drawn into the adventure of a lifetime!

Eipix I think ya'll need to regroup & focus on story lines, & putting out awesome games rather then this trash ya'll have been dishing out.
The series started good & got better each time UNTIL Dark Rose, from then on ya'll have destroyed another good series trying to put out so many games a yr that ya'll don't see how bad ya'll are doing.
Stories don't make sense, they follow no logical order, they make no sense in anything they do or say & the HOS scenes are very boring, tedious & no fun. At least w/ the bubble shooter (I hate those games) you could have a chance at finding & figuring out what the clue cards were trying to say, & the new HOS choice mahjong is awful, you have to complete 3-5 different things to finish an HOS
The only thing that is good about the games is the graphics but even they are awful in comparison with some of your other games.
This game may have made more sense then Dark Rose but it wouldn't take much to have anything make more sense than Dark Rose. The mini games & puzzles are blah, not much in this game made any sense whatsoever...plane crash on a cliff & you have to smash out the windshield & jump out cuz it is gonna fall off the cliff or edge but then you are looking at your plane just sitting there & the door is on the side that is on ground & you could have exited that way.
Then a hairy rhino w/ baskets tied shut & yet there is a girl in it hiding & no one else around but a village is there where you crashed & the girl who was in a basket hiding by herself tied the basket into a knot from the inside??? then you don't keep knives, razors whatever...ok used to that
Now the dragon is burning a city & a little bucket of water puts it all out & that is after she tells you to go hide underground & she can't open the underground passage so you do it & you know just what to do & how & so on...HUH???
How in the world does any of this make any sense whatsoever & what does it have to do with a guy stealing an eye at the beginning & no one is in a village that the dragons are burning & chasing & losing & then here comes a terracotta warrior or more & the dragons are people that have no powers now & you are the savior & the world is saved yet at the end you fly away in your plane that crashed into the mtn & fell & the people you met were dragons & no people anywhere else

Eipix you guys are killing your reputation & the reputation of game series that are great...Dark Parables being one of them, now Hidden Expeditions is said to be historically wrong in your new one Ftn of Youth & Dawn wasn't the best & now you messed Myths up.

Is this series worth buying??? Not after Fiends & Fairies, Dark Parables after Rapunzel or the final Cinderella is not worth getting (starting with the Mermaid that & those following are not worth getting) Hidden Expeditions went from so so to amazingly outstanding (Hope Diamond, Smithsonian & Castle) to eh so so ok (Dawn) to awful due to the errors in history Ftn of Youth. Hidden Expedition games gave info on history & facts which most of us LOVE, so why mess it up now w/ Ftn of Youth, then Tell Tale Heart...if ya'll are responsible for that calamity then I really & truly am gonna stop getting games from ya'll cuz they are getting worse & worse. Ya'll have some great games out there time to get back to that...PLEASE

I am not sure what happened between the first 4 games in the series & this one. This is awful, I could tell within the first 5 min of playing that a different team or whatever worked on this one from the ones that worked on Fiends & Fairies & the other 3 in the first part of the series. The storyline is bad, doesn't make much sense in what is going on or why, & the mini stories that go thruout the game to tell what & why & how is just plain bad.
The the mini games are really bad also in that the instructions aren't clear on a lot of them where I would have to skip the whole game entirely which I hate using hint or skip but after 20 min of trying different ways & stuff in at least 3 different mini games I had to skip them & when saw solutions they made no sense at all.
This series was started by ya'll, Eipix, but from Dark Rose it seems like what happened with Dark Parables happened here too but ya'll didn't take over Myths like ya did Dark Parable yet it still is awful in all the same ways & many of ya'lls games are great so what happened & why???
I mean really this game made no sense & was a waste of free credit & glad I didn't spend money on this one, I am hoping that the rest ion the series I got are more like the first 4 than this one.
It's time ya'll paid attention to the details cuz really from the get go this made no sense in vampires & life essences & w/i a space of 5 min of being bitten you are a full vampire & no one is left in town but a mayor who is waiting on word from somewhere else & your partner was bitten when he went somewhere & the vampire on the boat wakes up ya'll start a fire on the boat & get away & tip over & you wake up somewhere & find yourself in an empty town & the vampire is helping you but not helping you & you are now finding the stuff for him to be cured which how long has he been a vampire? If the way it says it is then maybe 1 wk cuz his love is there being controlled at one time by the female vampire who tries to kill the vampire guy & what do you do???

Did any of that make sense??? Well then you see where I am coming from, this is not an exaggeration in the crazy story, & if ya'll have played the other 4 in the series you will wonder what the heck happened here. The first ones went in a logical order, they all made sense, they were very well done in graphics, music,story lines, characters & all but then ya come to this one...I hope the rest in the series are not as bad as this one, tho if there taking over Dark Parables & making that a mess & then this one in their own series is any indication I am going to be very very disappointed & aggravated
I don't recommend this game.
Team up with the Red Riding Hood Sisters to defeat the nightmares!

DP Queen of Sands a little better then the Mermaid nothing like the DP's from Briar Rose to Rapunzel. The graphics are Eipix for sure & Blue Tea's graphics, story line & all is not seen much except in the name. The graphics are cartoony compared to earlier DPs & the story line still is awful, tho a little easier to follow then Mermaid.
This is the 2nd time playing Queen since I got Goldilocks CE (should have played the demo to see if any better but didn't so will probably be disappointed on that one as well) I replay the series to keep up with what is next but Mermaid I couldn't even finish this time & it is looking like I won't be able to finish Queen as well due to the awful hard to follow story line, if there actually is one, & the fact not much makes sense.
Besides the cartoony graphics, which after playing the earlier ones the graphics are just hard to see so different as well as no cursed objects, no real story line, the parable notes characters are not anywhere unless they are the morphing looking blobs again & the characters are not really in tune with DPs that we have come to love.
Eipix is good in their own way but them taking over developing the DPs has not been a good thing at all, & I like most of Eipix's other games but this is just killing the series between the awful graphics, story lines, characters & just a mish mash of stuff thrown in in order to try to keep w/ Blue Tea's way of bringing in past DP characters in each series .
I see that Blue Tea was involved in these last 2 games in the series but I don't think they had much say in anyway but in name.
I said after mermaid I was gonna play the demo before getting anymore but I just keep hoping it will get back to some degree of what it was & how it was before the takeover or collaboration w/ Eipix.
It would be very nice if Blue Tea would take back the series get rid of Mermaid, Queen & if Goldilocks is like these last 2 games then that as well & redo them all in the way & manner they have done the DPs from the beginning.
The FROGS are not even well done, the mini games are atrocious & make no sense whatsoever, a mechanical board that 4 things have to go into & all for 2 sentences maybe 3 that have nothing to say at all...A mini game that you have to find all these things from a bubble that doesn't even have a story behind the mini game that helps tell the story of what it is or why...
Please if ya'll are not gonna try to keep with the way it was & how it was & have a decent story line that makes sense easy to follow & keeps with the way of DP then do not even do it cuz you just kill the series with what ya'll have been turning out.
This is the 2nd time playing Queen since I got Goldilocks CE (should have played the demo to see if any better but didn't so will probably be disappointed on that one as well) I replay the series to keep up with what is next but Mermaid I couldn't even finish this time & it is looking like I won't be able to finish Queen as well due to the awful hard to follow story line, if there actually is one, & the fact not much makes sense.
Besides the cartoony graphics, which after playing the earlier ones the graphics are just hard to see so different as well as no cursed objects, no real story line, the parable notes characters are not anywhere unless they are the morphing looking blobs again & the characters are not really in tune with DPs that we have come to love.
Eipix is good in their own way but them taking over developing the DPs has not been a good thing at all, & I like most of Eipix's other games but this is just killing the series between the awful graphics, story lines, characters & just a mish mash of stuff thrown in in order to try to keep w/ Blue Tea's way of bringing in past DP characters in each series .
