I loved everything about this game. It was challenging on certain levels (Can you say 5 hours to complete one of them) but every level was not that hard. One of the best things is that there are 100 levels so I felt I got my moneys worth more than any other game. I just wish it had been infinite. .
This is the first game of many that I played continuously just because the story was pretty cool. It was a great game in almost all respects except the length. Very short to play. Only about another hour after the initial hour demo. Then maybe half an hour for the final chapter. But it's a good game
I recommend this game!

This was quite a treat after so many games with the same story line. Great puzzles. Although I bought it because a reviewer had stated that it had no HOG's. Wrong, it had just as many as most games. Not overly so but pretty much even with puzzles. The characters were funny and also unique except to late night horror buffs. Sometimes they went on a little too long talking so I did skip a lot of the banter because I loved the game so much. Loved Dracula's super powers an how you had to keep refilling them in "special" ways. Thought it got over way too soon since it was so much fun. Going back to play the first installment in the series. Also if you like a good map it has that as well.
I wish there were more like this. I have only found a couple. NO, none, zero zilch hidden object scenes. All puzzles. graphics great. There is nothing to complain about with this game
I wish I had bought the CE if it comes with a map. That is my only complaint and led me to using walkthrough way more than I usually do. The hints would tell you to go someplace but none of the places were named anywhere so if it said grotto, you had to figure out what the grotto was etc. That was confusing. But the game is really challenging with harder than usual puzzles. I loved the number of puzzles vs hogs as I like puzzles more. very much worth the money though but as said before spend a little extra for the CE if it comes with a map or room description (don't actually know if it does.)
Excellent game all around. Graphics were truly stunning. Story line was great. HOs were not overwhelming in number nor did you have to repeat yourself. Two minor complaints. One, there was a lot of backtracking and I did not figure out until waaayyy into the game that to move around you only had to click on the map. Duh! My fault but it would have been nice to be told this. Second the puzzles were among some of the hardest I have ever played. I'm pretty good at puzzles but these were almost too challenging for me. I had to skip several which I hate to do. But all in all one of the best games ever.
I recommend this game!

Like others have said, this game is not for experts unless you occasionally, like me, like to just relax and have fun. No tension in this game. Best thing - Beautiful bright colorful graphics. Nothing hard to see in this one. Puzzles were fun, most pretty easy but still enjoyable. I got this one as one of the bonus buys for 3.99 and feel like I got my money's worth. I actually wish there were more like this. Sometimes its nice to just relax and enjoy a game that doesn't take forever. A beautiful island setting is always a plus.
I think this game started off really well but somewhere along the way it deteriorated. You were never finished with one area so there was constant backtracking. Towards the end it became endless junk piles. Also when you'd find something it wouldn t be anything you needed right away so I had to utilize the hint button a lot just to see where to go. I was wanting the end to come so badly that I finally quit before the very end. Finally very few puzzles and they were all repeats. If you want an endless game of running around and junk piles then this is for you.
Challenge yourself in the role of the scientist-historian-scholar of ancient civilizations and mystical legends and save your friend from the Demon of Darkness!
Just finished demo and am downloading CE as we speak. I hate spending that much but this is worth it. Beautiful graphics. HOS which I am coming to loathe are brilliant in color and love the idea of reverse HOS. Puzzles are great. Also love the ability to change the scene from modern to ancient in a room with the flip of a switch. Played a lot of demos this week to get one worth buying. This is it.
i liked this one a lot for a couple reasons and i'm pretty picky. First and foremost there were very minimal HOs. The puzzles were not super hard but each one was completely different which was a very nice change. Then there was no backtracking. Once you were done with an area you were done. that's always refreshing. It was a very relaxing game, probably not for the super hardcore but altogether, pretty good. I will buy the other related one.
