Wow, I can't believe I missed this little gem. I started playing in 2012 and became addicted to HOGs soon there after. I've searched for high rated games, and I don't remember seeing this one. Anyway, after hundreds of games this one has become one of my favorites, especially for the storyline! There are A LOT of HOS and sometimes items are hard to see. But for me that was inconsequential. If you like creepy games, and you can overlook the HOS, this game is for you!
I saw this game the first day it came out. I noticed the devs asking the players for their opinions in the forums and thought that was pretty cool, but I didn't have time and thought I'd buy it in a few days. Two days later I could not find it. I forgot the name of the game and BigFish didn't even show it on their main page! This bothered me to no end because I thought it was a little unfair to not even advertise it for a few days. As I was grudgingly searching for another game, I saw it in the "If you like this game, try these also" area. I bought it right away, and I am happy I did! The other reviewers are right as far as I'm concerned, this truly is a gem. The graphics were well done. The storyline was engaging and ran smoothly with no oddball elements included. I usually cringe when the main character speaks throughout a game, but I found our heroine's voice pleasant. I actually felt sad for some of the characters at certain points. I am hoping for a sequel to this wonderful game, and also more from Cateia!!
Louis the Clown and Mr. Dudley are back in an all-new adventure! Travel through the dark corners of history's most famous fairytales to rescue children trapped in a frightening netherworld!
With the release of Final Show, I decided to get the whole series. I'm glad I did because the games have been great fun! Scary Tales was perfect for me. The characters and story were creepy and yet still had silly humor. While there were many HOS, they were easy enough to breeze right through. The artwork was fantabulous! And finally, and most importantly to me, the puzzles were a little challenging. They just don't make games like this anymore, which is a little sad. But I'm off to play Final Show, and I'm hoping its a great game too!
The artwork was great! The story was creepy and kept me wondering. I was hoping for the scary guys to show up more often, but the game play made up for that. WOW, this game really impressed me, especially for the time it was released. I am looking forward to playing the next two releases.
The story line of a game is the first thing that grabs my attention. I love that I am vampire hunter in this game. I was ready to take a tool kit with a wooden stake and cross and go hunting. The graphics and artwork of this game are impressive. Everything is crisp and clear. I liked the music, but it seemed familiar, and I kept thinking we should be going on an expedition (pun intended).
As the story continues, I felt the devs took a safe route: not too scary and not too safe. It wasn’t campy like Dracula: Love Kills or scary like Haunted Manor: Queen of Death. I loved Haunted Manor because of the story, although it had HOS throughout the game I was willing to deal with that because the story was so intense.
I appreciate difficulty in a game, but the HOS in this game were annoying. If I start to click willy nilly just to find an object, I get frustrated. This happened midgame and became I became frustrated throughout the rest of the game. I hope the devs aren’t afraid in the future to step beyond the bounds and create a spectacular vampire epic!
I thought the characters were interesting. The game play was fun, not too challenging though. I loved the music in the background, it was subtle and nice to listen to. I sometimes miss the old style like this game. I am not a big fan of HOPs but I breezed right through them in this game. Very enjoyable!
What an awesome game! It was a gift that kept on giving. When chapter 7 came, I was like - Wow - another chapter! There is nothing negative that I have to say. Keep it up, devs!

I have been a casual game addict for a few years and this is one of the first games I played. When the internet went out last night during a storm, I decided to bring up some old games and was excited when I found this one. It was on my mental check list for my favorite games. I was hoping I would still find it as captivating as the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised that I loved it as much before. The puzzles are old-school – which means you have to work on them. The guide is so handy that I got all achievements this time around. The HOS are straight forward and the guide offers snapshots. I am a fan of creepiness, and this game’s story line for me was eerie and suspenseful. From the somber atmosphere to the toned down yet beautiful artwork, I became absorbed into the game; so much so I forgot the ending! What a surprise again (maybe I should catch up on my Lovecraft reading). While I appreciate beautifully crafted games and technological advancement, it is nice to sit back and play a game that values your intelligence. Those who are fans of the old-school graphics will love this game. The bonus game was very puzzle heavy, but I enjoyed the challenge. All in all a wonderful day to spend on Haunted Hotel!!

Wow, I have played all the Myths of the World games, and this one is as impressive as the last two. I love this game because it is different and I can tell the developers really cared about they're work that they put out! Even the extra game play was amazing. I cannot say enough about the graphics and story line. The only thing I have an issue with was that if you have achievements that require perfect clicks, please make the pointer more precise. Besides the guide does not show the HOPs, which is good for me to hone up on my finding skills, but does not help me with getting perfect clicks. Other than that I loved this game!!
I really liked this game. The story was engaging and well thought out. Every new chapter brought something new to the game. I love EIPIX's voice-overs and recognized a few. My only criticism is most of the puzzles were too easy. They'd start to get tricky and then easy again. While the HOPs were easy there were different levels which was fun. I was happy in the end, and even the credits were fun to watch! I hope there are more interesting games like this coming out. It's hard to be innovative with every game, but this game shows how to do it!
