In the trial, I went to redo a level and the game immediately lagged/froze. I restarted the game to try again. Same issue. Seems unplayable based on that! Also, sometimes customers immediately replace another customer at the same table, which appears to be another bug.
Overall a very fun game, but the collector's edition version felt unimpressive. I did enjoy their take on the fairy tale chosen, but the theme used for the paintings was puzzling -- no clue why that was chosen or even why they had a theme at all.
Unlike most of the other games by this company, the bonus chapter had a poor story and less fun puzzles than the game itself. It was better related to the main story than some others, but felt very much an afterthought.
The upgrades don't seem to make a difference - there's no detail about what they do, cosmetically or as an upgrade. The story seemed so-so, and even getting through 20 minutes was tedious.
It seemed a reasonably fun time management game until I got to a pretty early level where I had to regularly click near a bad guy to disable him. And by this, I mean every few seconds because otherwise he ensnared my worker. Passing on this game with mechanics like that.
The pirates seem pretty randomly thrown in, as if they've just run out of other ideas. Really not a fan of the emeralds/wheel introduced in this game. Buying the items is fine, though it was more interesting when you had to choose benefits for each level. The wheel is terrible and almost invariably lands on the 'get 50 emeralds back' or rewards you with 50 emerald items. Definitely not worth having that aspect of the game.
I played an hour of it and just bought it. I definitely favor the time management games with more of a story behind them. The mystery so far seems interesting!
I recommend this game!

I wanted to love this because of the 1920s era feel. It had clunky game play and poor controls. I'm OK with car games, but this was just not fun and it was sometimes hard to click on the proper thing as well as requiring far too many things to click per car.
