I'm so glad that a demo was available to try before purchasing. As a fan of the original Nancy Drew games, I was really disappointed by these ones. They are nothing like the other games in format, style...everything and the gameplay is boring & frustrating. Please try before you buy!
In this game you play as various characters, which is fun, but the novelty wears off quickly. It's strange that when you have 2 characters in the same place, they disappear and they also can't call each other, only Nancy. This one kind of lost my interest at the end due to the maze challenge. Very few minigames in this one - more of a whodunit.

One of the best in the series. Great minigames. The most intuitive of the ND games I've played and the one I've used less walkthroughs for. Unlike some of the other games which seem random in gameplay, this one is easy to follow through without help (JrMode). Shame there is only one place to moor boat on island as it would've been more fun to hop off in other beaches on the island. More characters to interact with would also have been fun.
When an elusive killer strikes a high-tech lab, Nancy Drew is called in to sneak into secret areas, interrogate workers for multiple motives, and expose the truth behind The Deadly Device!
I have played 8 Nancy Drew games and this along with one of the older ones I had to give up on. The setting is incredibly boring as is the storyline and characters. If you're only playing these games for the mental challenge rather than the fun factor, then give it a go. It feels very claustrophobic compared to other games - you are confined to one office/industrial building! Yawn.
Everyone is frightened by the sights and sounds of something large stumbling through the darkness. Can you solve the mystery before the monster adds another chapter to this legend?
I have played 8 Nancy Drew games so far and this is one of the gentler ones. I found the navigation a bit tiresome, as it's easy to get lost in both the castle & especially the forest - I recommend saving the game before entering the forest, so you can reset if you get lost. They should've given Nancy breadcrumbs to follow! Lovely design, heavy on dialogue, but great mini games & challenges as usual. An enjoyable way to give your brain a workout! Sehr gut!
I've played 8 of the Nancy Drew games and this one along with Silent Spy are my faves. The tomb design is splendid and there is a fun Indiana Jones moment - more of those would be welcome in future games, Her Interactive! You will learn a lot about Egyptology and hieroglyphics as the research into these is authentic. I would've liked a few more characters to be added to the cast, but I enjoyed this & played it in one day.
I downloaded this hoping to learn about & explore the Titanic, but this was not the case. In fact at the beginning there is a disclaimer saying any resemblance to historical or factual events is coincidental, so don't know why they named the game after an historical ship! This is a simple HO game with no extra frills or challenges. Many of the scenes are repeated and there are no "double click" HO objects, just point & click making it very tedious. Disappointing.
I couldn't wait to play this game as I'm a big fan of Dark Parables AND mermaids. But how disappointing! The minigames were not challenging and most of the object placements, were simple plop and place on top of other objects. Perhaps it's designed for a child audience. As usual the visuals were stunning, but there was no substance to the storyline and the voice-overs were substandard. This is the only Dark Parables game I won't be buying after playing the trial.
You’re on a train in the middle of nowhere, and a band of dangerous thieves demand you tell them where to find the Hope Diamond’s shards. As the newest Hidden Expedition recruit, you’ve got to find the shards before they do…
I enjoyed the demo, as it was fun to learn about the history of the diamond and the museum and the graphics were sharp and realistic. I am intrigued to find out how much was true or invented about the diamond! But after purchasing the full game, I found the scenes outside of the museum didn't capture my interest and were not as challenging. The mini-games became repetitive. It also ended quite quickly compared to other games at the same price.
