I have played over 70 levels now and still have a lot more to go. (I think there is about 150 levels.) I really love this game. It is all mosaic puzzles (cloth, paper, stain glass, ect.), which is basically jigsaw style but has smooth edges unlike a jigsaw pieces. Each puzzle is a level and each one is a beautiful picture in itself. Once so many puzzles are completed an area on the map changes. I found this rather pleasant because it shows the changes taken place to the world being are saving. There are several different modes of play (relaxed, times, etc.). I find this game very relaxing so I ended up buying both in this series. I highly recommend this game for the whole family and if you are a jigsaw puzzle fan you'll love this game.
This is the first Myth of the World I can say didn't float my Myth. I thought it started out great and the story was an awesome idea but as I continued I found my interest fading fast. I soon felt as though I was just going between scenes collecting objects and solving puzzles to move on. There wasn't the inter-activeness I encountered in this series in the past. For example, the battle scene with Hades...well..I expected more. Hades just stood there and let Lysandra freeze him...no fight at all! Though there was much to do.,..it didn't have pizzazz like the other games in this series. And parts of the story lacked the richness I love about Eipix games. And I found even on the hardest setting mode the puzzles were not a challenge in other games I play on the hard mode. Now a good example of very engrossing game in this series that I liked was The Island of Forgotten Evil . Though it was about Pandora's box, Eipix took this and made an excellent story with a twist towards Ancient Rome, which I loved. Being a fan of ancient Greece I expected Fire of Olympus to be the same but it wasn't. I believe Fire of Olympus could have been an epic saga in itself instead of a mythical flop if the developers would have take the time to make it so!
I recommend this game only if you want something to fill the gaps between until something Mythically Epic comes along!
Complete CE: This is a wonderful game! I found myself engrossed in many aspects of it. The story is certainly unique, though it's good vs evil. The characters interesting and the voice acting superb. The excellent graphics made for beautiful, crisp scenes. The music score fit the the games theme...it was amazing. There are variety of different puzzles and the HOs were not just all lists of words to find items.
You are the Honored Healer of the Empire. You were born with a special gift...immunity to disease. You are summoned to figure out what the new Dark Seed is that is infecting various people in the empire. As you travel you help find cures to the "tree-bark ailments of the people you meet who help you along your journey to get to the root cause of this illness. Also, you face the dark magic wielding wizard who escaped from the magical prison that once held him.
I highly recommend this game in SE or CE. It is a long game with or without the bonus chapter and material. If you want a different story, you'll find it here. If you don't know if you'll like it play the demo.
Completed CE: Where to begin? I played from start to finish because it was fantastic! The story held my attention all the way thru the game and the bonus chapter. The graphics are excellent. The voice acting is very well done. The puzzle are a variety of different kinds. The cut scenes are placed perfectly. And the music score is fabulous. One last thing, when I found out what the Forbidden City was...it blew my away!
Since, I don't want to give any else away I'll leave my comments the above paragraph and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this game to all!
Completed CE: I loved the first game in this series. Though the story is completely different I enjoyed it. The story is based around brother vs. brother and good vs. evil there is no gloom, which a refreshing change after what BFG has been offering lately. All the scenes are bright and beautiful. The voice acting is excellent. The music score suites the game perfectly. Loved the interactive in the HOS and the variety of different puzzles.
I can say Thank you to the developers for something that isn't gloomy, evil, mean, dark etc. Please, make more games like these that have a great story, bright and beautiful scenes, puzzles that are interesting and interactive, and something worth writing a 5 star review about.
Completed SE: Anna must help the phoenix be reborn by collecting parts of the relic and the jewels to the Empress's crown to save her people hibernating on a floating island inside the Mother Tree. But Pandora, her twin sister, has put an obstacle in her way...a huge colossus. But as Anna speeds around the island she visits breath taking places, solves an array of puzzles, and finds parts of a letter her sister left for her. In the end will Anna's love and forgiveness for Pandora be enough to soften her heart and help Anna save their people from the colossus?
Captivating story, same beautiful graphics, awesome sound track, good voice acting and lots to do!
Completed SE: Anna is back in this second episode, but there are still voices plaguing her. Which one will she trust? She must search the beautiful areas of the sky city to find the amulets to free the children of 4 seasons and the animals guardians. She must solve puzzles to free the chains that shackle spirits of the children, open apparatus' that trap the animals, and reveal secret areas of the city. But as she searches Anna learns to follow her heart and listen to the voice that she can trust that will lead her to the crown to make her Empress of the Deep.
Absorbing story, beautiful graphics, an array puzzles, including HOS, excellent voice acting and a wonderful music score.
Completed game: Though this is an older game I really liked it. It was refreshing to play something that didn't have all the bells and whistles. The story was captivating. The graphics a beautiful. The puzzles were a variety. And the voice acting was well done. There is a map but no fast travel or clues. The hint button recharges fairly quickly. I did like the fact that "completed" appeared in the upper left corner of the screen when I finished the area. I recommend this game.
Complete CE: Story: Vanessa is having bad dreams. To get answers she must find her grandfather who has disappeared in his search for missing seals. As Vanessa follows the trail left by her grandfather she learns the purpose of the seals, meets interesting people and finds there is a traitor in the Order who guards the gate of evil.
Visit beautiful sites with clear graphics. Listen to a wonderful music score. Solve a variety of different puzzles and inactive HOs. Become immersed in a story filled with adventure, mystery and lots to do.
Though this game was from 2013 I really enjoyed. The CE is worth the bonus chapter. I do hope they make another one in this series that is just as good.
Completed: You brother went missing than reappeared after two days. After finding a carnival ticket in his pocket you end up there...searching for answers as to why your brother is sick. As you wander through the carnival you come face to face with a dwarf that is creepy to the max. He challenges you to save your brother. As you wander through the eerie scenes you search HOS scenes that are easy to semihard to find objects, collects objects to solve a variety of tasks and puzzles and uncover mysterious clues about doves. As you progress you realize there dwarf tricked brother and you must get it out of the safe. After going to great lengths you save your brothers and release others but the dwarf warns you that he is coming for you.
BONUS: Travel by map. Collect the stars and marbles. And the achievements come at SE price!
Make sure to check everywhere for things, including clues that appear in the journal once found. The map doesn't show everything by when the HOs became available throughout the game. The cursor is different so you have to pay attention because in some areas it changed to orange/red when you need to do something. The hint takes a bit of time to recharge which makes the game challenging.
