One of these days I'm going to learn to do demos. Turns out this is the SAME solitaire game over and over in a different pattern. No variety AT ALL Went through 3 levels and ALL are golf solitaire. What a waste of money. at least it was only 299.
While I wasn't too excited about the storyline. There are some welcome things in this game that make up for it. The puzzles are many and you can change their difficulty level. I really like that not all the items you need to do something have to be "the" item exactly. ex... coin for a screwdriver. real life stuff we do. Overall I recommend the game.
usually I like the surface games but there is something about this one I don't care for. The font is so small on hos that I can't even see them, and I don't even wear glasses. It was too much of a struggle to play, so I'm erasing without finishing.
I would've given this game 5 stars if it weren't for the glitches on the "super" puzzles in the bonus chapter. I simply am impatient and don't want to wait for the SE of a game I know I'll like. I find no interest in "achievements, screensavers, and the like and think it's ridiculous to spend twice as much money for that. There have been only two ce I can recall that I felt were worth it. One being Escape from Ravenhurst #still my favorite# because the CE was integrated into the game itself. Also oddly enough another MCF game the 13th Skull. The fun factor is low because of the irritation. Thought it was odd that the bonus chapter was a "before" thing when it was already over. I still wouldn't have missed this game but wish I'd waited for the se.
First of all I LOVE having custom options because I hate black bar tips that lead you by the nose. I don't understand the bad reviews I see here. The puzzles are original and the hos (not usually my thing) were full of variety and challenge. I recommend this game to all who like a challenge. This review is based on 3 hours game play. The only upgrade I can see on this and other games in the bf community is to make it easier to get to the rate screen and you will probably have more.
I haven't even played yet but know I'm going to love this. I will actually spend 8 dollars on a puzzle book just for the one logic art puzzle in it. I can't wait, I live for these puzzles. I"M SO EXCITED.
While I liked the story and the graphics, there were WAY too many HOS in it. I'm more of a puzzle girl. Had it had less hos and more puzzles I would have given it a 4 1/2 I recommend for hos people.
There is not one bad thing I can come up with on this game. First of all you have custom settings (my fav). In addition to the incredible graphics, they have included unusual items that would work in real life and are not the boring old must have hammer for nails when a rock will do. I thought the variety of puzzles (which were not easy) and the new play on the hos was absolutely awesome. This should definitely be a five star game. I Can't wait to look up more from this dev that I might not already have. Gotta go play the bonus chapter now muhaha.
Based on regular game no bonus chapter yet. I play on expert or advanced, I don't like black bar tips nor sparkles but since you could change the difficulty during game play when I was really stuck, so I could see available actions on the map, it kept taking me to a room that was finished. That being said, I really enjoyed the game. It had some extremely challenging puzzles in it. One, I actually skipped after an hour and a half, and half an hour for my video queen daughter. Overall I would recommend.
First of all I want to explain the level of challenge. The reason I scored it a five was because the info on the games was so convoluted as to not make any sense at all (and I have a high IQ) They were still confusing and irritating. I am not a circus person which of course didn't help in my decision. I wasn't even going to bother with the bonus game because of the main one but alas tried it to find more ridiculous things that anyone with any common sense could see were not true obstacles. Examples of this would be a net full of junk that should be "easier to cut" according to the black bar tip and sitting on a table within eyesight is a knife and a saw but you couldn't pick either up. There was a bad guy needing to be tied up yet he just sat there while you looked around for yet another knife so you could conveniently use the rope right next to him but you are clearly invisible to him. Also a rusty nail on a corkboard with a key hanging on it that you of course couldn't grab without oil. Oh vey give me a break.
