I have never played a game like this before, always wanted to. I really hope they make a sequel. I didn't get very many gold levels but I love the fact that you can still get a bonus if you complete the flower patterns. I loved the story line. I thought I had finished the game but then I saw the extras and there was a whole other country to play, wow. My only problem is that I even after playing the whole game, I still don't have enough money to finish the wedding and that is a real puzzler. Definitely worth a CE!
Holy cow this game has everything. I have been glued to my computer every free moment the past couple of days. Granted it's nothing new but the way it's presented is so beautiful. I usually get bored half way through a game but this kept my attention all the way through the bonus and beyond. The mini games were not terribly hard but very interesting and well done. This game had some of my all time favorite music. The voices were well done. Finally a game very much worth a collector edition price. Just don't let the spooky face scare you away. It's spooky but not scary.
This was a very fun albeit short game. The HOG's were quite easy, the puzzles were a little challenging. There was one puzzle that was so much fun and done really well even though it was simple. But what drew me in was the unusual story line. There's a few wow moments where I was just not expecting the story to go a certain way which is really cool and hard to do with the glut of adventure games now (not that I am complaining). I also liked the unusual visual style, reminded me of film noir. It's a great game for a lazy afternoon.
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
What an amazing game!! I didn't play the first game in this series and you don't need to in order to understand and play the sequel. I didn't even really care for the first 15 minutes of the game and almost didn't buy but just wait until you get into the meat of the game. It's a really cool story. The graphics are just beautiful. I think the developer got the game difficulty just right. The puzzles are really fun. I loved collecting the origami birds. Finally, the bonus chapter for this game is one of my all time favorite bonus chapters and I have played lots of games!! This is money well spent. Go play!!
I only played the demo so my review is based on that. I found the game extremely easy and the mini games were so so. The story line was sorta interesting but not enough to make me purchase it. The game is visually beautiful but that's not enough to make me spend my hard earned credits. The game is certainly fun and if you have money to spare then play away but for gamers looking for a challenge you might want to hold off.
Everyone is frightened by the sights and sounds of something large stumbling through the darkness. Can you solve the mystery before the monster adds another chapter to this legend?
I have played the entire series of Nancy Drew games and this is of one my favorites! Yes, there is lots of dialogue but that is part of the fun, you have to listen to catch the clues. I really loved the setting of this game, the castle was really cool. I think these were some of the best characters they have created. I played on the Junior level and the difficulty was just right, really fun puzzles. And the extra games in this one, Raid and Monster, are all my time favorites. I extended my play time because I wanted to keep playing them. To me, the Nancy Drew series is alive and well.
I am probably in the minority here but I bought this game so I could find the morphing objects (and dang it I found all but two in this one). So I was pleasently surprised at how much I enjoyed the story. I really love Blue Tea games. The graphics are so crisp and the locations are so gorgeously detailed. The story was quite interesting, there was plenty to do and there were some neat twists along the way. You definitely get your money's worth out of this SE!

This was very fun and very different from the current offering of HOG's. Yes the cut scenes were grainy and the HOG's were somewhat junkpiles but the puzzles were excellent. I pride myself on not skipping puzzles but there was a puzzle in this one that just completely stumped me. I loved that you collected "people" to help you out along the way and I enjoyed the twist to the story. My one and only gripe is that the game was a little short and I think the bonus game is the shortest in history. I would wait for the SE.

I wanted a break from HOG's so I bought this and I am so glad I took a chance. I loved the unusual storyline. Even though you stay in one location, there is so much to explore and so many objects to find. The puzzles were just challenging enough. There are different ways of completing an action and based on your answers to questions, there are different endings. Even my seven year old enjoyed playing with me. If you want a break from HOG's I highly recommend this game.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I have loved every single game in this series. Yes, it was a little gloom and doom but it was challenging and great fun. My whole family played and we needed all four of us to find the changing objects.None of us found it gross or scary, ok a tiny bit but it was mechanical people so how scary is that. I do hope the next game in the series will be more lighthearted.
