Another cookie cutter HOPA like we've had for the past 10 years. The last MCF I actually enjoyed was Fate's Carnival from 2013. Please BF, find another developer. Please.
I don't recommend this game.

Just another blah MCF. I just replayed Escape From Ravenhurst, so maybe that's why the low rating. Besides Fate's Carnival, the MCFs have been sub-par since Big Fish stopped made them. There's LOTS of better games from the past.
I don't recommend this game.

Finally a game that doesn't start with a demon/madman pulling a child/woman/man into a house and vines growing up to cover the door!!!!! Also, the graphics are realistic looking instead of splattered with bright green, orange and purple. As others have said, it is retro in style and gameplay, but that's what makes it so great. It also teaches you about life in the Soviet Union (love how you can place the cursor on a Russian word and it translates to English). Hidden objects are unique and fun to play. I haven't purchased many games in the past 5 years because they've become so cookie-cutter. Hope we get more like this!!
I recommend this game!

Just like the Ravenhurst games this developer did, they took 13th Skull in a different direction and ruined the story arc. The MCF games are just not special anymore. The last one I actually purchased was Fate's Carnival years ago.
I don't recommend this game.

I had just finished replaying Fate's Carnival, so maybe that's why this one seemed so bad. I only played the 90 minute trial, but from experience I know they don't get any better. The mini games were out of place and once you entered the museum it was a total mess. The badge that turned into a little moth helper had to be the goofiest thing I've seen. I think I'll replay one of the classic MCFs this Thanksgiving!!!!
I don't recommend this game.

It's been 20 years since you witnessed a monster kidnap your baby brother Adam, and you never thought you'd ever get closure. All that changed when you received an anonymous letter claiming to have information about his whereabouts, but what happens next is simple unimaginable. Welcome to the Artem Estate, Amy, make yourself comfortable, you're going to be here for a very, very long time. You can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER leave! Or should I say Welcome to my Nightmare?
Tales of Terror has hit the mark with the plot, however, not so much with the gameplay. The storyline is pure genius, and has great potential as a psychological thriller, one that I'm expecting to make many twists, and "oh no you didn't" moves. Tales of Terror proves that you don't have gore to make a game creepy, and they have ended the demo perfectly, you will want to continue this game for the story. Now about that however part, the gameplay is so predictable, you'll know what item you're looking for before you even find it, and the Hidden Object Scenes are the easiest I've seen in quite a while. Logic doesn't seem to be a factor either, I'm trying to escape from mad men, lucky me, I get a rather large and very sharp knife handed to me, yet after using it to cut some vines, I discard it? Later I need a cat to move so I decide to scare the living bejeebers out of him with an alarm clock because opening the cabinet directly above him didn't phase him. The icing on the cake is when I have to shoo away a teeny tiny bug with some "air" and I almost forgot the part where I couldn't put my hand on a spiderweb....while I was trying to escape, keyword escape, I'm sure a spider's web won't be my reason for not escaping! But despite the extreme hand holding, I'm giving this game 5 stars because I love the story, for the same reason that after playing thousands of games, my all time favorite game is still the original Phantasmat because no other game has been able to top that story, but this one comes close.
I don't recommend this game.

I have to admit I only played about 10-15 min of the demo, but when I heard the voice of Alison (who will be helping you with the investigation), I knew I couldn't take it. Do all of our wonderful developers from the east hire the same female voice actor with that whiny valley girl accent. My basic rules for buying a game used to be 1.) widescreen, and 2.) no sparkles. Now a 3rd has been added: no whiny valley girl accents.
I don't recommend this game.

The only thing I would give this 5 stars for is that it is different from the unbelievably repetitive games that have come out in the past few years. This does not mean it is a good game... just different. It's about as good a game as you would expect for one that takes up a whopping 160mb. For those trying to compare it to Myst...please.
I don't recommend this game.

How sad, how very sad. My favorite series has become a generic, run-of-the-mill HOA. Remember the dark, mysterious atmosphere, the intriguing gameplay, the beautiful ghostly figures. Gone. I saw it deteriorate with "Witches of Abraham", but that was still playable. This game was designed for a 10 year old with it's nauseating, cartoonish color palette. This is MIDNIGHT MYSTERIES, not Cinderella! I can see why the statue was crying. Very sad.
I don't recommend this game.

This game may have been great a few years ago, but I found it really boring and dated compared to recent releases. I guess there's a lot of "little old ladies from Pasadena" giving games like this 5 stars!!!
