The developer needs to find some new material. The game is basically the same as their other solitaire games and I really didn't like that you have eight or nine of the same card. The joker and wild cards are very expensive so if you want your three stars you have to replay the levels several times to achieve them. Always try before you buy.
If you liked Silver Tale this game is for you. However, this one has more challenges. You have to follow the sequence at the top to maintain your lamp; you must find all the jewels to sell in order to buy power-ups; and you have to collect the shields to give you hints on how to secure the items for the exit as some of these puzzles are hard.
You are asked by a friend to help save the town and when you arrive, of course, everything starts to go wrong. The hidden objects are used almost immediately in the game and the mini-puzzles are good. You have a crazy lantern (which use kind of becomes boring), but other than that I think there is a lot about the game that is fun.
There is nothing wrong with this game although I seem to be in the minority. There are typical hidden objects -- find one item and then there is another one under it to open a picnic basket, etc. I liked that there were (for me) some new mini-puzzles. Try it you might like it.
I haven't finished the game yet but I want to add my recommendation. As another reviewer has given you all the details, I just want to say that they are right on. The puzzles are great and so are the hidden objects -- very clever. This developer does not disappoint!
I have played all Spellarium games and this one is the best. It has some challenges that were not present in the other games. You also have one-up one-down solitaire, matching pictures, and mahjong.
