Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
This game really makes you think. The hidden objects are mostly interactive which is fun. The puzzles are good. You have a journal, a map and a hint button. There are some real challenges in some areas.
I am a dog person, so I enjoyed playing. The hidden objects did repeat a couple of times which is a no-no for me but it was not that bad. The mini-puzzles are not that hard and the bonus games is long and ties up the story.

The game has many unique features with respect to the hidden objects and mini-puzzles. However, the hint button is confusing at times. The journal helps but I think a complete walkthrough should be developed. I made it through and finally found the items, but at times I was ready to give up.
There are 10 levels. The difficulty increases as you go up the levels. There is one level that is timed as you have to beat the demons from gaining the top of the screen. Another level you are playing against the program which is fun.

You are the last descendant of the Clan of 9. You obtain an amulet to help you in gathering 9 Medallions of Power to activate the crystal ball and destroy evil. There are good hidden objects to find and many mini-puzzles. Although this is an SE game you don't need a strategy guide as the hint button is very specific. The graphics are very well done.
This is the first Montezuma I played. Maybe I should have started with No. 1 because I really didn't understand the clearing for the 500K etc. I couldn't tell when I reached an amount as either gold, silver, etc. came up or WIN which meant no money to buy powerups. I did like the frog catching and statue removal. Even though I purchased this game I stopped playing.
To save your father from a hideous monster, you've decided to sacrifice your own freedom. Now you must journey through a strange and magical land before time runs out!

You are told a bedtime story by your Mother who is the heroine of the tale. She travels to wonderful places to save her Father and meets novel creatures along the way. The story is fun; the hidden objects and mini-games are good. There are birds to collect and awards to gain.
Other gamers have explained the format, so I won't go into that. For me the game started out easy, but as you progress to higher levels you run into obstacles like sand, chains, ticking bombs and walls. You do obtain an amulet which lets you destroy cells and there are other power-ups. I really enjoyed the challenge of the higher levels.
The SE version might confused people as it has a tab at top saving "Collector's Edition". This just lets you purchase that if you wish. I thought the graphics were great and there are lots and lots of puzzles. Not many hidden objects which was okay. However, the hint button was not that helpful in some areas. I did find a walkthrough when I got stuck. The map is also helpful.
The game is long for an SE version; there is a map, and the hint button and skip button fill up fast. The hint button acts more like a strategy guide which is a definite help as you do quite a bit of back and forth. The HO are easy and somewhat interactive. The mini-puzzles are not that hard.
