Finally a game that requires you to absolutely think at each step and turn. Graphics are cartoon-ish, but not offensively so. Some items are very small so one needs to keep their eyes open. Puzzles are pretty easy at first then become very very difficult. Things you find along the way will be clues in how to solve the puzzles. The hint button is very slow to recharge and only gives you a tiny nudge in the right direction. This game is so refreshing. You will either love it or hate it. If you are looking for sparkling areas and HOS, this is not the game for you. There are achievements, and I believe elephants to find, although these elephants are called bishops? Not sure about that LOL. I recommend it to anyone who loves thinking and solving their own way through a game.
I recommend this game!

I have always been a fan of the "Emily" series, way back to the first one. This one has Emily preparing for her wedding to Patrick. She gets to meet her very meddlesome mother in law. The Emily TM games are a bit different because they're not of the "Dash" type of game where you are constantly clicking like a crazed fiend :) There is a story line behind each game. This one seemed harder to get the gold level on. The graphics and music are great. Colors are bright and fun. There a little mini games thrown in which are very fun. While preparing for your wedding you are still running your restaurant and yes, the mouse is in each scene to find. I highly recommend if you don't already own it as it is an older game.
I recommend this game!

Based on the demo: I see so many of the same type of games released, that when a developer goes off the beaten path I am relieved,. While this game will not win awards for grammar it does deliver a great story. The HOS are list with a bit of interaction. The puzzles were very original and fun... no 15 step puzzles that do not make sense. The music is just wonderful and perfectly suited to the game. The sound effects add great drama. I love to play games by new developers because it gives me the chance to see and play something new, other than the usual "oh look, I found a gear". I rate this 4 stars with the 5th thrown in for originality.

Small Town Terrors: Galdor's Bluff Collector's Edition
You're cordially invited to attend the world's greatest magic show! Thurman the Magnificent will give a performance no one will forget!
Based on the demo only. I enjoyed the opening sequence of the game. Looked like a good mystery to solve. Soon, however, that all disappeared like a bad magic trick and turned into finding feverfew for someone who fell off their horse, and completing way too many HOS and a few simplistic puzzles. This game was so easy and so linear, a child could play it. Regardless of this, the story got lost somewhere. The graphics and voiceovers were great. I love games with good story lines that pull you in and you cannot wait to see what happens next. This demo was short and I could not give a rat's tail what happened next by the end of the demo. My main gripe here is the shortness of the game as noted by other reviewers and lack of anything except morphing crystal balls (which were extremely easy to spot). The blurb by BF says over 50 morphing objects, whereas players who have completed the game claim there are far less. It takes much more than this to put out a game and call it a CE. I'd assume this is a 2 hour game, plus whatever the bonus chapter holds. That's unacceptable to me. I do not recommend this game.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on the demo only: I liked the early Redemption Cemetery games. Not so much the later ones. Not sure about this one. Graphics, sound both fine. I so dislike ERS not using lip movement. The story felt very disjointed to me. I crash landed, decided I needed something to hold some seeds I found, met my first two souls then was whisked off into the past with a very annoying boy hanging from a clock. I encountered one HOS which was simple. A few puzzles which were also simple. I found one collectible but I'm not sure what it was. There was no creep factor here. Just an attempt to bring out another game in this series. If you are a new player or like a very simple game to pass some time, I'd say buy it. Otherwise, it's a pass.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on the demo: Fantasy Mosaics, in my opinion, does the pictograph games the best. With the addition of adding different colors, back in Fantasy Mosaics #4, they have reached the top of their class. Graphics are clear. Music was actually soothing. You do get a little area to decorate. I love these type of games because you can just play for 10 or 15 minutes when you have a break in the day. Love this one.
I recommend this game!

Based on the demo. I really liked this game. The gameplay and intentions of the game have been well described by other reviewers. The graphics were in typical ERS format... sort of grainy... but ok. Music was also standard ERS music. I don't like the way the mouths do not move in their games. I liked the HOS, even though they were revisited. The puzzles were challenging for me, but I am not a puzzle fan. The story was what grabbed me and drew me into the game. It is nothing like the real story written by EAP himself, but still was a great story. I'm sort of let down that they took the french-ness out of Dupin and actually the whole game. I was shocked at his new accent and really liked the old one better. Made him more mysterious :) Also calling Jacque, Jack was odd. Game play was on the easy side, however a good story will lure me into playing a game. Not sure about collecting the face masks, and I'm not sure what else I was supposed to be collecting. I think something for a fish tank although I'm not sure how a fish tank relates. I do recommend this game.

I love Eipix games. This one, however, seemed to drag for me. Just personal taste I guess. The HOS were done the usual Eipix way with variety. The puzzles were good and I had difficulty with some of them, but I am not a big fan of puzzles. The graphics were wonderful as were the sound effects and voices. There were morphing objects in the HOS which I stumbled upon by accident. There are also 2 types of collectibles. The game was very linear and easy... collect this , use it here, etc. It seems developers are making the actual game play more and more simple and making the HOS more difficult by giving us junk piles. Not a fan of that. It took me until almost the end of the demo to even begin to like the story. Do demo for yourself as we all have different tastes. Have a great weekend :)

Frankenstein: Master of Death
The border between life and death is fragile. Restore the course of nature, solve puzzles and search for clues in Frankenstein: Master of Death!
I love these little stand alone SE games. This one has a new take on a story-line and that alone merits 4 stars. The HOS are slightly interactive and slightly difficult because the cursor doesn't show you interactive items. I love the way the developers made things different, such as the hint on top, map location, area complete on the map, etc. The puzzles were not too bad, even for me (a non-puzzle person). I absolutely loved the electified zombies/frankensteins running around. The visuals were suitable for this game and loved the sound effects. Great game and excellent job developers.
I recommend this game!

The Cursed Island: Mask of Baragus
Breaking news – Casey's father has gone missing on a remote island that carries a curse! Help Casey overcome the obstacles and solve this mystery!
Loved this game. Your dad has gone missing on an expedition to "Cursed Island". When no one is able to reach his expedition, you set sail to find him. The graphics are a bit grainy, but they do fit the story. I love the sound effects and voice overs. Puzzles, for me, were difficult. There are collectible scarabs and plants. There are also "sticks" of air, fire, water, etc., you can use (sort of like an amulet) as needed. The HOS were not junk piles and were in list form. This is a great game and kudos to the developers for offering a great SE without all the usual purple/pinks./glittery/.bling, etc. I loved it.
