Ok, I have seen a few reviews asking why there are poor reviews on this game.
Ok, let's start off with gameplay.
Gameplay, in my opinion, is far too long. I was excited at first, because I admit, the storyplot was worth exploring even further. I love the drama, the action, the classic fencing and bloodshed, revenge..... All tied into one. Great, I thought. All makes sense, and the action was really good. Unfortunately, as the game goes on, it starts to become stale and long. Too many puzzles, especially the tricky and difficult ones, and I am sorry to say, my brain is still quite frazzled at this point.
Some of the instructions of the puzzles are not very clear on explaining what to do. What do I do to the elf in the end? It shows a green heart, so what do I do? Another green heart / shield? What do I do if there is a blue shield? Another blue shield? It became confusing at some point, and I was forced to skip. The reflection puzzle is very confusing too. What do I do? So, I'm really, really sorry to say this, but the level of challenge had just dramatically risen. It became stale and long, with not much interesting happening.
Second off, fun factor. I mean, of course, at the beginning, it was pretty fun to unravel the story, but later, after the climax, it wasn't really interesting anymore. The additional 'too-hard' puzzles didn't really make it more fun either. It slowly became stale and bland, with not much fun in there.
Overall, it's an OK game. I mean, I would recommend to those who wants an extra challenge every now and again. But I just don't think that this kind of game is for me. XD But recommending to those who are hardcore challenge-loving peeps out there. Ok, Sophia out! :D
Not the most original idea, but still a good one! :D

Ok, one turns into a bear by day, while the other turns into an owl by night.
Ok, honestly speaking, this idea is not the most original one. I mean, many TV shows and movies do use this idea as a storyline , so I didn't really have much expectations of it. However, once I dived into this, BOOM! This storyline suddenly became fresh and original! Well done 4FriendsGames for sucking me in! Love it! :D
Sound quality was really good, and the art style is not to bad! Gives it a whole medieval look! Puzzles are not too hard, as I can solve them all without using any skips!
Overall, this is a really cool game! Recommended for those who are looking for a 'Romeo-and-Juliet' love story and of course, those who are fans of 4FriendsGames. May not be a big fan, but I have to admit, this is good!
Played it, enjoyed it, and even uploaded to Youtube! :D
Recommended to those who are hardcore fans of Grim Tales, Mystery Trackers and Haunted Hotel!
Overall, I think this is a pretty good game! Growing up with the Haunted Hotel franchise, I enjoyed the puzzles, difficulty level, and the design! My goodness! I have to say, 3 detectives working together is like a dream come true!
It is definitely about time that the 3 games merged into a crossover, and made into a series!
However, of course, there is still room for improvement. The storyline might have been exciting and great to look forward to, but there are some moments where I feel that the storyline seemed too rushed.
All 3 just walked into trouble, despite possibly knowing that the others were in instant danger. No one was curious, or held their wits about them, and just ran into danger. Kinda raised an eyebrow on those moments.
Anyways, still have to say, this is a good game! Looking forward to the sequel!
I have been a fan of the MCF series for over 6 years now, and I have to say, this is downright one of the best games I have played in the series. The bonus content (Felix the Fishes) is entertaining, it traces back to the Ravenhearst story arc, and quite juicy easter eggs and clues we need to look out for, which makes the bonus content a pretty cool feature!
The storyline is pretty cool too. We get to see skepticism, supernatural elements, and those make the story very entertaining to play! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I played this! It's awesome!
However, the saddest thing is that it's not available in Windows 10. I have tried playing it out of nostalgia, but it just won't start up. It just seems a shame that old games are not playable anymore, and those games made the whole thing worth playing back then. I hope someone makes this available on Windows 10. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for that day, because I know hundreds of fans will be glad to see an old chapter make a spontaneous return to the Internet. :)
